MIGDAL HAEMEK, Israel and SAO PAULO, April 18, 2012
MIGDAL HAEMEK, Israel and SAO PAULO, April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TowerJazz, the global specialty foundry leader, today announced its new representative for South America, Fast Company Brazil, a business agency created to support companies' success in the Brazilian market. Through this partnership, TowerJazz will expand its presence in a fast growing semiconductor industry region. South America, and Brazil in particular, is a major focus for TowerJazz, driven by initiatives taken by the Brazilian government, involving the fast growing local fabless companies and design houses together with the established OEMs in the country. The team at Fast Company Brazil has extensive semiconductor experience and is led by CEO and Founder, Jose Antonio Scodiero, who previously occupied the position of VP of Sales and Marketing for AMD in Latin America. The Company sees increased business as the Brazilian government has identified the semiconductor industry as a high priority. For instance, in one of their programs called CI BRASIL (Integrated Circuit Brasil), the government has sponsored 20 local design houses and trained more than 500 people in microelectronics. TowerJazz aims to utilize the considerable momentum occurring in the country.
According to PwC, growth in the global semiconductor market will be powered by the increasing importance of the BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) economies' demand for semiconductor products. In a 2012 report, "Faster, greener, smarter – reaching beyond the horizon in the world of semiconductors," PwC mentions that both technological advances and the rising economies in those emerging markets will fuel the long-term growth of semiconductor demand, resulting in an annual average growth rate of 7.4% until 2015.
"As the global specialty foundry leader, we believe TowerJazz's portfolio in power management, RF and high performance analog will enable Brazilian semiconductor companies to make strides in becoming significant players in the global market. Partnering with Fast Company Brazil will enable us to establish presence in the region and demonstrate our superior customer support to Brazilian companies," said Dani Ashkenazi, Vice President of Sales at TowerJazz.
"The semiconductor market in South America is currently being formed and companies see value in personalized service to support their initiatives. Our local business development experience combined with TowerJazz's specialty process technologies, proven design enablement tools and excellent customer service will enable us to grow semiconductor business in this significant region," said Jose Scodiero, CEO and Founder of Fast Company Brazil.

GOT REALLY NO DEBT AND NEW THINGS TO COME
WILL BOUNCE BACK HUGE..
Pretty oversold here imo!
They are spread throughout the world and keeps expanding.
TSEM dropped due to low economy. WIll pick up soon.
Stock going to go to 1.55 by end of summer.
Warrants (TWSRF) are due to expire near the end of March, 2011. I sent an email to TSEM today asking if there was any consideration to extending them and here was the answer below...
Dear Mr. XXXXXXX –
Your email was forwarded to me for reply. Unfortunately, we are not in a position to extend the maturity of the warrants to which you refer. The warrants were issued in a public offering that defined the terms and conditions of those securities. We are unable unilaterally to change key terms of the warrants.

Earnings comming up next month. Cross your fingers. If they meet expectations I expect a nice Northward move in this stock.
I am not sure,I was hoping that was the reason the share price dropped, but that was not the case.
I saw that, but what does it mean for TSEM ?
"An item on Tower Semiconductor (TSEM 1.51, -0.10, -6.21%) in a Movers & Shakers column published by MarketWatch on Nov. 11 contained a incorrect comparison. The company reported a third-quarter profit of 1 cent a share compared with a loss of 4 cents a share for the second quarter of 2010."
Yes, and even today it s coming back a little.
agreed 100%. i own stock .i also own warrants that mature fairly quickly and thought that this would be a lot higher a lot quicker. with profits the way they6 are i thought that it would be at least 4 dollars a share by the end of the year,oh well here's hoping.
TSEM is a long term stock, the company is doing well, it's just a question of time.
the company lives up to expectations and drops like a stone. has anybody seen where the 50 million dollars that was to pay down the debt was paid? is this the reason that the investment coomunity does not reward tsem?
Be ready for TSEM. One day left before the quarterly.
I think it could get to $1.80.
Yes and I think the stock is going to be much higher after the 11th of November.
shocking. i am betting that there is a little buzz before the quarterly on nov 11. htere was a lot of buying in israel on the tase so the carryover over here is good to see.
It's happening !!
Yes I hear you, also they growing very well as a company.
maybe this is the start of the breakout for tsem . it will not happen tho without the 50 million dollar payback of debt that they have touted for the last 6 weeks. when the investment community sees that they are serious about getting their debt under control then katy bar the door. the pps will jump to 3 to 4 dollars per share. since i have considerable warrant i sincerely hope that it happens quickly.
Hi, any one...
We are going to see TSEM succeed by the end of the year
How about $4 in 2011.....
does anybody know the time frame when tsem is paying the 50 million dollars down on the debt service? i think when tsem shows that they are serious about getting rid of the debt is the same day that the pps really will go up substantially.
I consider this a real "shake out"!
Glen.
warrants waaay down.. considered the .0159s but looks like somebody else just got them
Looks good, let's wait and see what transpires.

New to the board posting but have been watching, just not talking...
haven't seen this much upward action in this stock since prior to the 1st quarter report...we should have gotten more of a bump out of the 2nd
looks like there might be some life in here after the debt finally being extended out...
was waiting on that when I listened to the CC...just didn't expect it so soon...but I ain't crying about it though!
This "bit of good news", IMHO, should get the question asking Needham analyst "off the pot" and provide another lift here...
I speculate that this CC was heard in lots of analysts circles!
Two or Three Recommendations would be nice!
Now if the Nasdaq can control the price over here, this should cause the shorts on the TASE to have to cover...a dream come true for us...
BTW, I have 90,000 warrants also...would be sweet going to "The Promise Land" with ya'll!
Glen.
3.65 million shares traded today, and after hours the pps is 1.67so hopefully the momentum will continue to build slowly until the next quarterly. then i do believe that it will skyrocket. no flash in the pan and debt under control that 500 pound gorilla might just be off our backs.
good point.. i just hope they take us to the promise land with our warrants ;)
with the debt issue under control ,i can see institutional buyers in considerable numbers as where else can you buy a share for 1.65 and a earnings of 65 cents. and phenominal growth potential?
did u see that? was 200k showing on the ask at 1.65 on level 2... somebody ate them and what looked to be another 200k or so at 1.65
institutions or leak of some sort?
i like it either way
see them paint 1.62 on the close/?!?!? such b.s.
g/l to us dent!
i hit the ask also, with the stock starting to move,i can't imagine that the warrants wouldn't either. now that the debt issue seems to be handled the main concern against movement seems to have been alleviated,at least i am betting that is what will happen.
