Chicago's Wieners Circle has been known to wade into political controversies time and time again, and former President Donald Trump's comments during Tuesday's presidential debate became their latest target.
Trump amplified false rumors that Haitian immigrants in Ohio were abducting and eating pets, a claim officials say they've found no evidence to substantiate. During the debate with Vice President Kamala Harris, Trump specifically mentioned Springfield, Ohio, the town at the center of the claims, saying that immigrants were taking over the city.
“They’re eating the dogs. They’re eating the cats. They’re eating the pets of the people that live there,” he said.
Harris called Trump “extreme” and laughed after his comment. Debate moderators pointed out that city officials have said the claims are not true.
On Wednesday, the infamously snarky Wieners Circle posted a sign that read "immigrants eat our dogs."
Trump's comments echoed claims made by his campaign, including his running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, and other Republicans. The claims attracted attention this week when Vance posted on social media that his office has “received many inquiries” about Haitian migrants abducting pets. Vance acknowledged Tuesday it was possible “all of these rumors will turn out to be false.”
Officials have said there have been no credible or detailed reports about the claims, even as Trump and his allies use them to amplify racist stereotypes about Black and brown immigrants.
While president, Trump questioned why the U.S. would accept people from “s—-hole” countries such as Haiti and some in Africa. His 2024 campaign has focused heavily on illegal immigration, often referencing in his speeches crimes committed by migrants. He argues immigrants are responsible for driving up crime and drug abuse in the United States and taking resources from American citizens.
It's not the first time the hot dog stand has thrown shade at Trump with their sign.
During the Democratic National Convention, the restaurant posted it was serving "Trump footlongs" that were 3 inches in size.

I honestly think that was the plan all along, though not so the former guy would drop out but close enough. It's too late for them now. Remember, JD has been bankrolled and groomed into his whole career by Peter Thiel and the Heritage Foundation (Authors, Project 2025, The Federal Judiciary nominee list, etc.) to be their guy. He waltzed into Ohio without a lick of political experience and ousted a popular incumbent Senator who was a Democrat. With unlimited campaign cash to sling his vulgar racist lies and an endorsement from their Cheeto Jesus, the Ohioans ate that stuff right up.
There's no doubt that a bunch of cash is going under the table to their president nominee too. Remember when all the skeletons started rolling out of the couchfucker's closet and everyone started asking, "who vetted this mysogynist pig"? Well, the answer to that is easy, nobody did. He's been bought and paid for over years now, their golden boy, they knew exactly who he was and still is. Just keep the money flowing to the felon and he won't give a shit who he picks for VP.
If you think Depends Don is a threat to our democracy, he looks like Mother Theresa compared to the couchfucker and what he as been groomed to do.
I think their grand plan got derailed when Biden dropped out. I'm sorry to say, they would have had it in the bag if Biden stayed in and I'm sure there's other people way higher up than me who heartfully explained it to Joe in those direct terms. They saw their opening and pounced, figuring they had the felon in their pocket. They'd run a Dick Cheney style White House on steroids, where the VP calls the shots while the felon stays out of jail and runs his grift. If he happened to croak while he was in office OR have, let's say, the VP invoke the 25th Amendment that would be a bonus and couchfucker would be in the catbird seat.
What they didn't expect was the epic groundswell for Kamala and they had already locked couchfucker in so they couldn't turn back. I don't give a shit what the polls say, she's kicking his ass in every other metric and they know it. She destroyed him in that debate and it's all starting to blow up right in their ugly little traitorous shitbag faces. I just hope that Democrats down the ticket are getting the same kind of love and some upsets get pulled off. If we can control the house and at least 51 senate seats we'll have a very good reason to get rid of the stupid filibuster and start packing the SCOTUS so all this bullshit comes to an end, once and for all. Fuck the term limits, put four new liberal centrist Justices on for life to individually represent the 12 circuit court disritcts and one as a tiebreaker, then let the chips fall where they may. If they can overturn Citizens United and possibly kill the Electoral College there wouldn't be another GOP POTUS to nominate another Justice until long after we are dead. Checkmate.
And when all those corrupt billionaires watch their true life work of owning the United States and all their wasted money go up into flames we can get back to the businesses of Government, by the people and for the people. Then we can appoint an AG that operates by modern law standards who isn't afraid to get going after all these corrupt clowns and start breaking the US oligarch network for good.
It's their own fault for hitching their cart to a criminal lunatic who has the mental and emotional capacity of a 10 year old. Karma is a bitch and so are paybacks. Checks and balances will be restored because this nation is founded on the premise that we bow to no supreme ruler.

And to assure that No Treaty no matter what it is that we would sign onto which affects American Citizen freedoms in any way has to be voted on in the Congress and Senate and onto the President for approval or disapproval following the Laws of our own Country not some made up Treaty by outside entity forces supposedly with the goal of protecting the World from some future pandemic crisis.
Its like if they have a Gun Treaty due to some killing in one of these foreign nations then they have us all sign onto a treaty banning weapons in all these Countries, it would never happen here unless given full approval via our Constitution and following Congress/Senate and Presidential and possibly Judicial reviews as well here to protect our own Nation from such forces which think Treaties will rule our Country in some way shape of form.
Thankfully we have some Great Americans fighting for our rights as citizens in our Congress during debates on 9/11/24 of the Conservative side of the aisle, while others are in full agreement as Biden and Harris are to simply sign onto this Treaty without any kind of protections built with our own legislative branches weighing in and protecting its citizens. Quite a contrast on where the Liberals minds are at here.
