Tombstone Exploration Corporation Announces Agreement with 5D Mining & Construction, Inc. to Build Heap Leach Pad for Bonanza Harquahala Mine
Press Release | 05/20/2020
PHOENIX, May 20, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tombstone Exploration Corporation (OTCQB: TMBXF), a fully reporting U.S.-based mining company, is pleased to announce in partnership with Goldrock Resources Inc. and the Bonanza Mining Company the execution of a significant contract with 5D Mining & Construction, Inc. (“5D”) for the building of the heap leach pad for the Bonanza Harquahala Mine.
Phase One construction of the Bonanza Heap Leach Project is anticipated to start on or about May 25, 2020, with full project completion expected by mid-September. Per the contract, 5D will supply labor, equipment and materials to perform all of the civil work and liner installation for phase one.
“We are now moving into the construction phase of the leach pad with an estimated completion of the construction within 12 to 16 weeks,” stated Tombstone CEO and President Alan Brown. “Once the construction is complete, we will start moving an estimated 500,000 tons onto the leach pad and begin an estimated six to eight-month processing period for all of the mined material in Phase One. Once leaching has started, bi-weekly delivery of the carbon to our designated gold processing facility is expected. Based on past metallurgical testing, production is budgeted at 23,000 ounces of gold with potential for more. “We are highly confident in our test results and expect our first gold pour in mid to late September,” stated Bonanza Manager Todd Fayram.
Phase Two, currently under consideration, includes a much bigger package where we have potentially identified 150,000 – 300,000 oz of Au in defined underground targets in and around the old Harquahala mine with significant upside potential.
The 5D contract for construction for this first phase of the Bonanza Heap Leach Project includes all survey work required for layout and grading, debrushing the work area, demolishing obstructing concrete structures, relocating and stockpiling the existing tailings, mass grading for the PLS pond and leach pad, all trenching and backfill for the liner anchor trench, fine grading for the liner, installation of the liner and perforated drain pipe, including required support work.
Over the course of its 20-year history, 5D has become a major construction company in and out the mining industry and is one of the most respected contractors in the Copper Corridor area of Arizona. Located in Globe, Arizona, 5D has provided work for some of the largest companies in the world, including BHP Billiton, Capstone Pinto Valley Mine (Capstone Mining Corp.), Freeport-McMoRan Miami, Grupo Mexico ASARCO Hayden, and many others.
“This construction agreement is another significant milestone for Tombstone,” stated Brown. “After careful deliberation, we are pleased to name 5D - a highly recognized construction company – as our partner to execute the first phase of the Bonanza Heap Leach Project.”

This looks like it’s ready to popped to 3.00
Thanks for the update news on construction progress:
I note specifically in the press release that the current well is stated to meet the needs of the heap leach process and decrease expenses and that construction of the heap leach pad will start in May and gold production in 60-90 days.
These factors make TMBXF an excellent option to exploit gold rally:
1. Gold continues to gain given world events
2. Bonanza project allows TMBXF to produce gold more quickly than a typical time scale due to the logistical advantages of working initially with surface material.
3. Production costs are fixed meaning higher profits with increased gold price. Bonanza Project was started with gold in the range of $1100-1125 per ounce (as opposed to current $1700 range)
4. Per 20-F they have large tax loss carry forward to offset profits from Bonanza and limestone projects

Junior mining stocks are benefiting from the overall outlook for gold and the above factors position Tombstone very favorably in an already favorable sector
$TMBXF Tombstone Mining Provides Update, Begins Construction Phase for Bringing Harquahala Gold to Market https://finance.yahoo.com/news/tombstone-mining-provides-begins-construction-120010676.html
Tombstone Exploration Corporation (TMBXF) (“Tombstone”, “Tombstone Exploration”, or the “Company”), a fully reporting U.S. based mining company, in partnership with Goldrock Resources Inc. (together, the “Bonanza Mining Company” or the “Partners”), is excited to announce that the Company has received the permit necessary to launch construction and shortly thereafter active gold production at the Harquahala Mine.
The Harquahala Mine has been tested and shown to have recovery potential for 26,000 - 50,000 ounces of gold. The current spot gold price is over $1700/oz.
Management notes that the Company just received notice from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (“ADEQ”) that ADEQ “hereby authorizes Bonanza Mining Company to operate the Harquahala Mine, a gold mine located in an unincorporated area 8 miles south of the Town of Salome, La Paz County, Arizona” based on the issuance of AQUIFER PROTECTION PERMIT NO. P-512944, which will remain effective for the life of the facility.
The issuance of this permit allows for the construction of a 242,000 cubic yard heap leach pad and a 4,126,239-gallon double-lined pregnant solution pond, where consolidated historic ores and tailings at Harquahala will be subject to gold extraction through conventional cyanide leaching.
“We would like to thank everyone who had a hand in helping this project graduate to its construction phase,” commented Alan Brown, Tombstone CEO and President. “It has been an efficient process and we look forward to the immediate initiation of construction and then production operations.”
Final permit is received to allow heap leach construction.

Agree that a gold investment should pay off. Especially when Tombstones Bonanza project was predicated on gold at $1100 and now at about $1650. Fixed cost stays the same and profit increase is substantial. Look forward to completion of permitting as you pointed out should be very near.
Smart investor will find gold investments payoff. TMBXF is in final stages of permitting. Should be any day now.

TMBXF is a good option to exploit gold rally:

I agree with your sentiment that TMBXF is under the radar and that the stock will likely respond favorably once the final permit is issued to allow construction to commence. Just to clarify per a previous press release that the company has completed the permitting application and addressed any comments and is now waiting on an approval decision so the company should not need to complete anything else regarding the final permit. From the last press release:
“Tombstone has completed all steps of the permitting process and is awaiting the approval of the final necessary permit to begin construction. “
