This was mentioned on CNBC yesterday. No recommendation from any particular brokerage just a general comment that with all the money that the US and countries around the world are offering to build infrastructure during this down period that Terex may be one to benefit.

Terex Corporation (NYSE: TEX) today announced net income for the third quarter of 2008 of $93.8 million, or $0.96 per share, compared to net income of $151.5 million, or $1.45 per share, for the third quarter of 2007, a decrease in earnings per share of 33.8%. These results include a $10.1 million after-tax, or $0.10 per share, charge related to a crane repair program, and charges associated with reductions in headcount of $2.2 million after-tax, or $0.02 per share. All per share amounts are on a fully diluted basis.

TEX already up over 5% after hours as earnings were released after hours today. IMO, TEX is currently undervalued based upon earnings that were reported afetr hours today.

Capital-equipment supplier Terex maintains a nice cash cushion and a price-to-earnings ratio of only 8.2, but not even an impressive first-quarter earnings report shook fears about a global slowdown in project spending. CAPS investors aim to take advantage of the pessimism, though. The vast majority -- 882 out of 900 -- see enough value in these shares today to vote bullishly.
