Maybe the Board of directors at Tengasco, aren't so dumb. According to Capital IQ, a/o 6/30/2015 based on the balance sheet TGC has a .52 book value per share. The tender is for .27.

TGC'S board of directors have to be one of the worst. They are against a .27 tender offer. When the offer was made, the stock was selling @.24. Since they announced the board of directors are against the offer, the price of the stock is now selling @.17. Not too bright.

If you want active boards you need to be looking at the pink sheet companies that haven't filed anything other than information about reverse splits and increases of the A/S.

Sadly, the internet boards have become a barstool for the "investor" looking to turn 250 bucks into 250,000 by sitting at the helm of his computer night and day touting the "ups" of the next fly by night stock that has enough cash or backing to launch a 3 week press blitz.

The bigger crime in that is that they could go to the casino and at least tie on a good drunk and get some entertainment for the same price. They don't have to live like shut ins posting messages about why they think the stock of company ABCD is going to fly past Apple so fast that Steve Jobs raises himself from the dead.

There isn't much activity on large caps on investors hub it is more active for micro cap traders.

I am very bullish on $TGC and believe there is short term upside for shareholders. Management has build up production and reserves without dilution and this will hold true for 2013 in my opinion.

so...........why is this site so quiet? I have been following TGC for 3 years now and have watched the up's and down's. Central kansas is a sweet area, I lived and worked the oil business in eastern kansas for years. The big anticline that runs north and south in eastern kansas has been a hot area from greenwood county to oklahoma,especially in kay county in oklahoma.(good luck getting leases there) Bigger well's are still left in the central kansas uplift,its just takes time to find them. good luck TGC, my money is on you guys.

Jeffrey R. Bailey joined Tengasco in March 2002 as chief geological engineer. He was named Tengasco president in July 2002 and chief executive officer in Nov. 2005. He has twice served on the board, from Feb. 2003 to Aug. 2004 and from Oct. 2004 to the present. Mr. Bailey has 30 years of oil and gas exploration, management, and reservoir evaluation experience. From 1980 to 2002 he held various positions of increasing management and technical responsibility within Halliburton. While with Halliburton he worked in many countries in Central and South America, Europe, Africa and Asia, developing a special interest and expertise in carbonate reservoirs and log analysis. Mr. Bailey has authored and presented numerous technical papers and has taught log analysis and carbonate reservoir management at many companies and universities around the world. He is fluent in Spanish, and earned a B.S. degree in Geological Engineering in 1980 from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.

Cary V. Sorensen is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, and he also holds a degree from North Texas State University and a master’s degree from Catholic University in Washington D.C. From 1977 until joining Tengasco in July 1999, he was engaged in the practice of law in Houston, Texas concentrating in the energy industry. He worked in private law firms and as senior counsel–litigation in the corporate law department of a Fortune 100 energy company. He has represented virtually all of the major energy companies headquartered in Houston, as well as local distribution companies and electric utilities in a variety of litigated and administrative cases before state and federal courts and agencies in eight states. He has transactional and litigation experience involving gas contracts; gas marketing; exploration and production of oil and gas including royalties, leasing or operating interests; land titles; oil and gas pipeline operations; and pipeline tariff matters at the state and federal levels. Since joining Tengasco, he has overseen both corporate governance matters required of the Company under recent securities laws and all legal functions relating to the Company’s operations. In addition, he has served as president of Manufactured Methane Corporation, including in the development of the patented process used in extracting methane from landfill gas.

Michael J. Rugen
Chief Financial Officer
Michael J. Rugen was named Tengasco chief financial officer in September 2009. He is a certified public accountant (Texas) with over 27 years E&P and oilfield service experience. Prior to joining to Tengasco, Mr. Rugen spent 2 years as VP of Accounting and Finance for Nighthawk Oilfield Services. From 2001 to June 2007, he was a Manager/Sr. Manager with UHY Advisors, primarily responsible for managing internal audit and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 engagements for various oil and gas clients. Prior to joining UHY, Mr. Rugen spent two years as a consultant with Jefferson Wells working with E&P and oilfield service clients. From 1982 to 1998, Mr. Rugen held various accounting and management positions at BHP Petroleum, with accounting responsibilities for onshore and offshore US operations as well as operations in Trinidad and Bolivia. Mr. Rugen earned a B.S. in Accounting in 1982 from Indiana University.

C. Patrick McInturff
Vice President
C. Patrick McInturff earned his B.S. degree in Civil Engineering in 1975 from Texas A&M University, after which he joined Exxon in Midland, Texas. During his five years in Midland, he worked as a drilling, reservoir and production engineer – ultimately specializing in secondary recovery – for Exxon and Union Texas Petroleum. He relocated to Houston in 1980. In Houston he has worked with Union Texas (6 years); Belco Petroleum (2 years); Global Natural Resources (3 years); Ryder Scott Company (16 years); and Capco Offshore, Inc. (2 years). These roles, as well as a stint as an offshore production engineer in the Gulf of Mexico, expanded his expertise in secondary recovery operations and evaluation. During his 16 years with Ryder Scott he gained valuable experience as an oil and gas property appraiser in many basins in the U.S. and internationally in Pakistan, Peru, China and Venezuela. Mr. McInturff joined Tengasco in December, 2007.

Gary Wagner
Kansas Production Manager
Gary J. Wagner has been with Tengasco since 2003. Since January 2005 he has been production manager of Tengasco’s Kansas operations. Gary attended Fort Hays State University in Hays Kansas. Prior to working with Tengasco, Gary was employed as district manager with Micro Well Services. His numerous duties including treating wells and municipal systems, well site workover supervision and sales duties for microbial products. He was employed by OXY USA, Inc. from 1975 to 1998 as a production coordinator, a senior engineering technician and a field supervisor. His responsibilities included computerized record keeping, supervision of daily production and field hourly employees, supervised contract labor, workover and drilling rigs.

Bill Miller
Pipeline Manager and Tennessee Production Manager
Bill Miller joined Tengasco in 2002. He worked with Halliburton Resource Management from 1976-1981 in Casper, Wyoming as a service technician on natural gas compressors, high speed engines and pipeline processing equipment such as amine plants, metering devices, dehydrators, process control regulators and stripping plants. He worked in Corbin, Kentucky from 1981 -1985 as a field supervisor for Tidewater Corp., which later became Universal Compression Company. Bill was president of operations for Huntington Energy from 1985-1992. At Huntington Energy he was responsible for overseeing the drilling of over 200 wells, constructing over 100 miles of pipeline and 60 miles of transportation line in Kentucky and 73 wells and over 40 miles of pipeline in Indiana. In 1992, with two partners, he formed South East Energy Consultants. He has performed contract consulting services for Michigan Wisconsin Pipeline, Quasar; Texas Eastern Pipeline; Tenneco; Wisser Oil Co.; Davis Oil Co.;, Diamond Shamrock Co.; TranX Pipeline; Delta Water & Gas; A.K.S. of KY; Alternate Fuels; and Somerset Pipeline.

Kansas is a great place to build up production and acquisitions. Sandridge $SD is a major player out there.

Tengasco Inc. has 171 active producing wells in Kansas with the majority located on the Central Kansas Uplift and adjacent west flank. The Kansas subsurface is divided into five basins that are separated by uplifts. Basins are characterized as thicker sedimentary rock packages than those found on the uplifts. The western third of Kansas is underlain by the Hugoton Embayment of the Anadarko Basin. This basin is very deep in Oklahoma with depths exceeding 40,000 feet and shallows into Western Kansas.

The Central Kansas Uplift separates the Hugoton Embayment from the Salina and Sedgwick Basins of Central Kansas. The Central Kansas Uplift is a structural high that trends from northwest-southeast and is the largest structural feature in Kansas. A map showing the oil and gas fields of Kansas clearly shows the impact of the structural features on the distribution of oil and gas deposits. Production on the uplift primarily comes from the Lansing/Kansas city Group and the prolific Arbuckle Group. Production on the west flank trending into the Hugoton Embayment comes from the Cherokee Group and Mississippian age rocks. Other geologic units provide minor amounts to production totals.

Focusing on central Kansas, Tengasco currently has approximately 20,971 acres under lease containing 14,261 acres held by production (HBP) and 6,710 acres not HBP in various stages of development. Exploration and Development drilling in Kansas has been focused on, but not limited to, ten central counties on the Central Kansas Uplift and on the west flank. Of these, Rooks County contains 58% of the Company’s actively producing wells.

The Company had Net Oil reserves of $2,817,000 Bbl (proved) at YE2009. Kansas accounted for 91% of the Company’s revenue and 92% of the Company’s total production. Tengasco’s total production from Kansas is 600 barrels per day.

Tengasco Announces Second Quarter 2012 Financial Results

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Tengasco, Inc. (NYSE MKT: TGC) announced today its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2012. The Company realized net income attributable to common shareholders of $1.1 million or $0.02 per share of common stock during the second quarter of 2012, compared to a net income in the second quarter of 2011 to common shareholders of $1.0 million or $0.02 per share of common stock.

The Company recognized $5.23 million in revenues during the second quarter of 2012 compared to $4.79 million in the second quarter of 2011. The increase in 2012 revenues was primarily due to a $0.9 million increase related to a 9,400 barrel increase in sales volumes partially offset by a $(0.55) million decrease related to a $(9.56) per barrel decrease in average Kansas oil prices. Kansas oil prices in the second quarter of 2012 averaged $85.90 per barrel compared to $95.46 per barrel in the second quarter of 2011. In addition, MMC revenues increased $0.14 million from $0.06 million in the second quarter 2011 to $0.2 million in the second quarter 2012. The Company also received a cash payment of $999,540 in lieu of tax credits during the second quarter related to the methane facilities. The payment was made under Section 1603 of Division B of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 for the Company's generation of electricity from a landfill gas fuel source. However, due to the tax-related nature of the payment, Company revenues in the second quarter 2012 did not include any portion of this payment other than its related tax effects.

The Company recognized $10.2 million in revenues during the first six months of 2012 compared to $8.4 million in the first six months of 2011, an increase of 21%. The increase in revenues was primarily due to a $1.6 million increase related to an 18,000 barrel increase in oil sales volumes during the first six months of 2012, partially offset by a $(0.1) million decrease related to a $(1.00) per barrel decrease in average oil prices from $91.57 during the first six months of 2011 to $90.57 during the first six months of 2012. In addition, MMC revenues increased $0.3 million, from $0.1 million during the first six months for 2011 to $0.4 million during the first six months of 2012, an increase of 324%. Electric revenues contributed $0.24 million of this increase as a result of installation of an electric generator in January 2012 at the methane facilities. The Company realized net income attributable to common shareholders of $2.0 million or $0.03 per share of common stock during the first six months of 2012 compared to a net income in the first six months of 2011 to common shareholders of $1.3 million, an increase of 47%, or $0.02 per share of common stock. During the first six months of 2012, the Company had income from operations of $3.4 million compared to income from operations of $2.8 million during the first six months of 2011, an increase of 23%. The increase in net income attributable to common shareholders and the increase in income from operations were primarily due to the increase in Kansas sales volumes and MMC revenues, partially offset by a $1.1 million increase in costs and expenses.

Jeffrey R. Bailey, the Company's Chief Executive Officer, said, "As a result of the drilling and polymers in the first half of 2012, we are now seeing a spike in production that has resulted in back-to-back monthly production records for the Company's production of oil. In June 2012 we broke our gross monthly oil production record previously recorded in November of 2008, with a production total of approximately 27,400 barrels. That June 2012 record was then surpassed in July with a gross monthly oil production total of approximately 30,500 barrels. These results reflected the increased drilling from the first 5 months of 2012 and the follow-on polymer jobs performed in the last 7 months. Due to oil pricing pressures that we have seen from lower oil prices in May and June, we have not drilled any new wells in the last 2 months. I would expect a natural decline of production from the newer wells and the flush polymer production to occur in the next few months. We will continue to do some polymer jobs during that time while we monitor oil prices, politics, and industry conditions."

Oil fell from 110 to 80 and so did TGC.. However, in TN they are a major gas producer really, and natty is on the rise again. IMO, the PE ratio will fall due to good earnings, lower share price.

That should bring back the buyers I think. I'm on the sideline at the moment looking for a possible .5x entry should oil plummet on greece issues. Makes no sense to me, but it's what they say lol.

Looks like .75 may be support for now and then .70.

I'm on the sidelines at the moment. Oil is under pressure IMO due to politics. Gas plummets a buck in a few weeks. My behind, we been gettin the shaft.
