Might be a little early, but looks like a good set up in the making. PPO about to cross (maybe)...that's a nice trigger to look for.

HAIN short
Can't fight the market. This one looks like it will succumb if the market continues in current course. The fall below the median band on the longer term BBCCI is the confirming signal.
This also illustrates why I look at the Bollingerized CCI since the drama of the signals happens well above the 100 line (or below -100) much of the time. Much faster.

Thanks. Yes, I will post some set ups that are catching my attention this weekend. Looking for a rally here at some point this upcoming week. A lot of charts starting to look similar (or else a whole lot are going to be smacked down).
I finally figured out a screen based on BB's on CCI at Stock Fetcher. But I still like to visualize in esignal not the least of which is for the ease on the eyes.
I'm still an end-of-day apprentice until its time for the 401K to move to an IRA.

Nice Work
I would like to see more people use it, but they don't appear to be on iHub, or certainly don't talk about it much. Been doing this for years... StockCharts has all the custom tool you need.
I stack fast and slow indicator overlays, and that let's me not only compare early and late indicators crossing over each other, but add an EMA (or something) and a Bollinger set as well.
You are very welcome to throw your charts up here anytime you like. I am using Cliffs as a bellweather.
Best,

I caught your board and noticed the use of BB's on indicators. I use the Bollingerized CCI extensively looking for confirming crosses of the median line at different intervals (10, 50, 100 etc). My set up on CLF is still a little early for entry as I would look for the cross of the median band on the medium interval on the chart here. The cross could happen soon or could be repelled by the median band and have to back build a little more- probably depends on what market does.

From Seeking Alpha... http://seekingalpha.com/article/569311-graphene-is-going-to-grow-a-few-companies-to-make-you-some-money?source=yahoo
"CVD has a market cap of about $85 million and is not a pure graphene play. It has a strong balance sheet with $18 million in cash compared to only $3 million in debt. Its First Nano division is the one that handles the graphene. According to its most recent 10-K CVD had a backlog of $16.2 million versus $9.9 million at the end of 2010. Revenues were up 90.6% in 2011 largely fueled by the First Nano division which grew 107.5%. CVD reports first quarter earnings on next week on the 7th. I look for revenues to be slightly lower near $8 million for the quarter as CVD is in the process of moving to a new larger facility. While revenues will be lower for this quarter, I look for them to pick up substantially for the year as capacity is increased and CVD products continue to penetrate across the globe. The stock is trading at 45% above its 52 week low and a prime buy right now. I look for $20/share for 2012 and $28/share by the end of 2013 as demand and applications for this technology continue to grow."

Welcome to The P_Shift!
We pride ourselves on the diversity of our plays, an aggressive, decisive approach to trading and an open and transparent posting style. We welcome all who value hard work, the joy of sharing, and who believe teamwork pays.
We began this board several years ago with a mind to free ourselves of many of the traps that are set up to lure traders and investors into parting with their money without their acquiescence. We decided right off the bat that an informed investor with the right tools had a better chance of making money than one who placed a bet on the advice of others. We realized then that this had to include Technical Analysis, the ability to read trading data, as a prime component of that toolkit.
Technical Analysis is clean. It provides clear signals on what a stock is doing. TA is without prejudice. It is our egos which mess up the trading... thinking that we are better than the market, staying in a stock on hope, entering a stock on fundamental belief, or on the advice of others that the stock is great.
TA avoids all that. It provides data only.... information on what a stock is doing relative to the market and itself.... data on money, momentum and volume over time. In reality we need know nothing more than that in order to effectively trade in and out of positions.
Good TA practitioners can manage long, short and swingtrading positions within the same equity at the same time. Fundamental traders cannot do this; they follow the herd. Good TA traders are in and out of a stock before most of the market even knows it. Fundamental traders are investors.... unwitting longs. The pimps and pumps prey on the fundamental investor. The market loves a Fundie.
Arguments by fundamentalists that charts do not foretell the future are correct. They only tell you what is happening now, and in the recent past. But a long studied chartist can predict events with great accuracy, watching a chart die, or build, incrementally, over time.
Stay with us and learn. We have some very successful traders on this board, most of them skilled practitioners of the Black Art. We sincerely hope you find your time spent on the P_Shift more than profitable.
