I never knew this history but have been following it and believe all the old rules have now been changed
All the old rules about what, running a scam?
It's amazing, the only thing getting recycled is the scam.
More amazing, some people will probably fall for it yet again.
I get a laugh out of the dancing around but what I find really hilarious is
the theory propounded that "the process" was (and is) totally legit and valuable, yet Rivera had to resort to fraud (in the extreme) to make money with it
ROFLMAO is an understatement
spec
Thank you!
I repect your comments
Thank you for ALL your valuable input.
really? why all the smoke and mirrors with every single question?
If you have information about DR involvement post it. Otherwise this looks like the same old Rivera playbook for operating a scam.
hello rgh, I respect your opinion on Garjian, I just don't agree with it.
rgh,, well said!
First class,, I trust him!
They have.....
"The Admiral!"
Just sayin' :)
What interest does the DR have now?
Why would they invest?
Its funny you should mention the DR ... you may want to keep your eye on them! LOL :)
KO, don't confuse the bad apple here.
I usually agree with your honest posts and the realistic outlook of SSTP's future, especially with the bad past of Rivera and his team. But I do believe Garjian's past and recent attempts at revitalizing this concept are pretty sincere, and it will take a lot longer than what posters here propose it will occur to actually occur.
His visions for the company, even 7 years ago, are definitely admirable and may be feasible, but they were obviously very lofty for the time and probably shouldn't have been leaked publicly. Anyone who dumped more shares based off those words alone, without tangible evidence, should be more to blame than him. He's been an environment-conscious junkie and entrepreneur for decades now - while I can't speak for him directly, I'm sure he's been pretty upset and embarrassed by himself that he too bought 100% into Rivera's process.
While I will never believe any future hype on here until I see actual results, I don't believe saying MG pumped the stock (especially in the manner Rivera legitimately did, who ended up suffering legal damages) isn't fair to Garjian's efforts for an actual change.
Let's be clear what's happened here in the last 12 months:
1. Garjian and his new team have legally broken away from Rivera's brand name once and for all. They will at some point release a new company name, but there really is no need to do it right now.
2. They are experimenting with old ideas and trying to manipulate them using 2014 advances in pyrolysis. If they were smart, they'd hire legitimate biochemists, chemical engineers, and R&D scientists to fund this effort. I have no idea who their current team comprises of.
3. Assuming there is something in the works, they are being extremely tight-lipped for a reason. This is how constructive and effective start-up companies SHOULD be operating - don't false alert the masses, work hard for many months, and wait until you get something tangible to address the public.
This mindset is clearly different from years past, and I'd say pre-emptive hype (like some people express on this forum) is very destructive and hindering to the actual players involved in attempting to make it work. Rivera tried to both synthesize the product and sell the product at the same time, and this clearly turned off any international entities that were open to funding it small-scale.
There's an inherent reason companies haven't created a cost-effective catalyst for biodegradable pyrolysis AND garnered enough funding domestically or internationally to get it in mass volume. These things take time, lots of money, tons of repetitive science, and access to resources that most companies give up on the effort.
I have no idea if MG or his team actually reads this forum, but it's pretty clear that they need a more robust effort from younger scientists willing to invest free part-time labor in helping them with this endeavor. They should be searching and reaching out PhDs college graduates in biochemistry, Masters students at notable universities, professors looking for a high reward side-project, and engineers who all can be compensated for company stock shares in place for some R&D.
LOL, yeah, that sounds like magic to me.
Trevisiol said the catalyst that Rivera used was referred to as a “magic catalyst,” by Rivera.
Pintard argued that catalyst altered the process and because of that the process used in Port Gibson was not the same used at the USSEC plant in Natchez.
when this process has international recognition
Doesn't it already have international recognition, such as the Dominican Republic?
March 25, 2009 09:30 ET
Sustainable Power Corp. Forms Dominican Republic Company
BAYTOWN, TX--(Marketwire - March 25, 2009) - Sustainable Power Corp. (PINKSHEETS: SSTP) announced today the formation of Rhino Evergreen International S.R.L.: a Dominican limited liability company. Rhino Evergreen will be the entity which implements the Company's core technologies in the Dominican Republic and is licensed with the Vertroleum™ technology, the Sustainable Produce Technology and the Emissions Remediation Technology. Rhino Evergreen has already commenced construction on its first plant on property donated by one of its key partners in the Dominican Republic. This project will be financed entirely through SSTP's Dominican partners, with the precise acreage and amount of financing to be announced upon completion of accounting and definitive final documentation.
Sustainable Power Corp. holds 35% of the equity interest in Rhino Evergreen with key Dominican finance partners holding the balance. SSTP will have no obligation to fund this entity which will finance 100% of its planned operations through other partners.
"Our partners in the Dominican Republic completely understand the value of our technology and stand ready not only to immediately commence operations, but to provide 100% financing for everything we will do there," said M. Richard Cutler, CEO of SSTP. "They have already pushed us to move forward with our first project which we have commenced. When the government gets behind a project, and affirmatively pushes key private sector partners, things happen very fast. We anticipate significant cash flow and profitability to SSTP from these projects in the very near term."
Excellent points.
More funny stories about the magic catalyst
Rivera case starts
By Adam Koob (Contact) | The Natchez Democrat

NATCHEZ — It all started in Toronto in the winter of 2004.
That’s when Mark Trevisiol met John Rivera for the first time.
The events that transpired ultimately landed the two men in the Adams County Chancery Court on Monday morning.
Trevisiol is suing Rivera for money he says he’s owed for helping Rivera’s business stay afloat.
The suit was originally filed in July 2007, and Monday was the first day of the trial.
Trevisiol was questioned by his attorney, Rick Bass, and cross-examined by one of Rivera’s attorneys, Scott Pintard, for the entire first day.
Rivera was vocal with his attorneys during the proceedings and appeared to be checking his blood sugar levels and giving himself injections during the hearings.
While on the stand Trevisiol told the story of how he first became involved with Rivera.
Trevisiol said it was early 2004 when his friend, Nick Dellece, approached him to examine plans for Rivera’s plant.
At the time Rivera was operating a facility in Port Gibson that was said to be producing oil, fuel and carbon byproducts from shredded tires and chicken feathers.
Trevisiol said Dellece brought him the plans to evaluate because of Trevisiol’s years of experience as a mechanical engineer.
And upon initial inspection Trevisiol thought the plans had merit.
In fact, Trevisiol began preliminary planning to develop a facility using the Rivera process in Ontario, Canada, where he lives.
In the early part of 2004, Trevisiol continued to study the plans and met with Rivera in December in Toronto at a hotel near the airport.
While Rivera was in Toronto on other business, Trevisiol said he and Dellece made the trip from Ontario just to meet him.
The duo made the trip to discuss the facility but Trevisiol said Rivera had another idea — he asked for money almost immediately.
“We wanted to talk about a potential venture moving forward in Canada,” he said.
Instead, Rivera told Trevisiol his Port Gibson facility was in a dire financial situation and would need $400,000 in financing to keep the business from going under.
“We were quite surprised,” Trevisiol said of Rivera’s need for money.
Trevisiol said he believed so strongly in the process that he wanted to fund Rivera.
Compounding Trevisiol’s desire to help Rivera, he testified Rivera said if the facility were lost, the process could also possibly be lost as well.
Trevisiol testified that Rivera named Waste Management as a possible buyer and said the group could purchase the facility for as much as $100 million.
Close to Christmas that year is when Trevisiol began sending Rivera money.
By February Trevisiol formed his own company, Noront Recycling, and purchased the Port Gibson facility that Rivera had been renting.
At the time of purchase Rivera was operating the facility under the name Thremolysis Recovery America.
Trevisiol, using Rivera and another woman believed to be his girlfriend as co-signers, purchased the warehouse for $140,000 and provided Rivera $25,000 to keep the facility running.
Trevisiol said he gave Rivera approximately $200,000.
For his assistance Rivera and Trevisiol made a deal — but the money changed hands before the deal was signed.
“I trusted in John,” he said.
Rivera was supposed to have paid the taxes on the property, paid for the necessary insurance and paid $495 in rent per month to Trevisiol threemonths after the closing date.
Trevisiol said none of those things ever happened.
And that was the small end of the bargain.
Trevisiol said the agreement between the two men was supposed to also have given him rights to develop the Rivera process in Canada, a percent of the sales coming from the Port Gibson facility and, if the process were to be sold, a percentage of the sale price that amounted to 8 percent after one year of closing on the Port Gibson facility.
The memorandum of agreement with the three-pronged term condition was not signed until April 2005.
And since Rivera later transferred the process, of which he is the inventor, to U.S. Sustainable Energy Corp., a company of which he is the primary shareholder, Trevisiol said he is entitled to 8 percent of the sale price.
Since Rivera is believed to own 482 million shares of USSEC, Trevisiol’s said he’s owed approximately $13.5 million.
But Rivera, and his attorneys, said Trevisiol is not entitled to the money because the process which Rivera transferred to USSEC is not the same process that was being used at the Port Gibson facility.
And much of Pintard’s cross-examination was hinged on the process of converting feedstock, like shredded tires and chicken feathers, into oil or fuel.
Trevisiol said the catalyst that Rivera used was referred to as a “magic catalyst,” by Rivera.
Pintard argued that catalyst altered the process and because of that the process used in Port Gibson was not the same used at the USSEC plant in Natchez.
The main feedstock at the Port Gibson plant was supposed to have been shredded tires.
After Monday’s proceedings Rivera said there is no way tires could have been used at the USSEC plant.
“You’d blow up,” he said.
However Rivera would not say what separated the processes.
The case is expected to end today.
Neither Bass nor Pintard could say with certainty if Rivera would take the stand today.
Trevisiol said he was simply glad to have an opportunity to tell his story.
Rivera was less cathartic when the day wrapped.
“He wants a part of me till the day I die,” he said of Trevisiol.
The case resumes at 9 a.m. today.

Told you he wouldn't answer the Q! :)
He's only a puppet who loves the feeling of his master's hand :)
Think your good....
Just one of thousands of victims of this scam who was left with worthless stock. Attempts to pump this POS will be countered with facts.
It will be more unbelievable how wrong you'll be in the future when this process has international recognition and celebration!! :)
Unbelievable
yes, amazing in hindsight how wrong he was about Rivera, about the process, and about all the items he said would be done by now but aren't.
It sounds like you disagree with me?
LOL - Unbelievable
I also believe that MG is a man of great integrity
I'll assume you are referring to Michael Garjian? A man of great integrity who swears to Rivera's honesty?
A man who stated 7 years ago that all of the below would be done in 18 months?
With the caveat that these are forward looking statements, yada, yada, yada, Vee-Go’s short to term goals (2 weeks to 18 months) are to:
1. Formalize the Mass MOU and appoint the USSEC/SPC/Vee-Go/E2M entity formed per the MOU as the exclusive source of USSEC/SPC products in Massachusetts.
2. Determine the viability of the catalyst activated carbon in USSEC soyash as a potential detoxifying agent for several mycotoxins including vomatoxin, aflatoxin, deoxynivalenol (DON), T-2 and others. Tests are now being conducted by a Virginia agricultural laboratory associated with CCC Feeds.
3. Test the viability of USSEC soyash as a coal replacement by determining combustion characteristics and the effect of phosphates on the catalyst now used in powerplant SCR scrubbers to mitigate sulfur and NOx emissions. Tests are now being conducted by a privately owned power plant in the northeast USA.
4. Establish the viability of USSEC soyash as a fertilizer for northeastern regional crops, including, but not limited to corn and tobacco. Tests soon to be conducted by local farmers and CCC Feeds.
5. Sign long term “pay or take” agreements with utility customers and attain a cash flow from the Massachusetts sale of Rivera green electricity, fertilizer, biofuel REC’s, and fertilizer REC’s in 2007.
6. Establish a biofuel plant in either Holyoke, Springfield or Westfield, MA producing at least 800 tons a day of fertilizer for sale at $.125 to $.150 per pound including REC’s and 400,000 to 550,000 gallons a day of Rivera biofuel at 10% below a mutually acceptable fossil fuel benchmark price such as the current NY diesel #2 barge price as listed on www.joc.com, plus associated REC income of $50 per megawatt hour.
7. Utilize the entire output of the above biofuel facility to supply several potential customers with whom I am in various stages of discussion and due diligence.
8. To import Rivera biofuel by RR tanker or preferably by barge to New Haven, CT to be delivered by existing jet fuel pipelines to Western Mass until our biofuel plant is up and running.
9. To continue in collaboration with Central Connecticut Cooperative Farmer’s Association, other farmer coops in the eastern US, a farmer owned corporation in Canada, and hopefully state and federal agricultural authorities to establish a family farmer initiative to grow biofuel feedstocks in the Northeast and eastern seaboard states. Initial feedstocks could include soybeans, corn, and canola. Purchase to be direct from farmer’s silos, price to be cost plus guaranteed profits for 20 years to purchase 80% of harvest, 20% of harvest to be retained by farmers for market rate sales if they desire, fuel to be supplied to them at $.99 per gallon adjustable for inflation over 20 years, electricity if under our control to be deep discounted, and discounted fertilizer to be provided by us.
10. To continue to work closely with Massachusetts elected state officials at all levels to create an alternative energy initiative that will shine as a beacon for other regions as it utilizes resources to be made available by the proposed and hopefully soon to be enacted Massachusetts Green Communities Act of 2007 at http://www.mass.gov/legis/HD4254.pdf
11. To inject $1,000 to $10,000 a day into the E2M Regional Economic Council to introduce E2M’s community conscious capitalism and create the community wealth that will establish, as a pilot region, the sustainable E2M economic model in Western Mass, http://www.e2m.org. This will result in the formation of inner city youth entrepreneurial programs, low interest loan programs, entrepreneur friendly venture capital investment funds, the launch of 500 or more new small businesses, the funding of social initiatives to create affordable housing, provide jobs and social support to returning veterans, break the cycle of poverty, address violence in the family, reduce hopelessness among the young, and help to revitalize American democracy as our Founder’s originally created it here in Massachusetts, the birthplace of American democracy.
Vee-Go’s medium term goal (two to five years) is to:
1. See the above duplicated in at least five regions in the Northeast US and Saskatchewan, Canada.
2. Fund programs enabling the University of Massachusetts-Amherst an agricultural land grant institution to conduct R&D on additional biofuel feedstocks such as crambe, flax, algae, chicken and horse manure, organic wastes, and other experimental organic materials.
3. Establish a small municipal electric utility next to a municipal wastewater treatment plant to research the cultivation of algae based organisms in municipal wastewater streams energized by CO2 emissions from electrical generation.
4. Fund current embryonic initiatives to augment traditional agrarian style crop production techniques with new technical agricultural growing techniques whereby life sustaining foodcrops are grown much more efficiently, organically, and year round in greenhouses with rigidly controlled atmospheres devoid of harmful insects and pathogens. By using USSEC biofuels to generate electricity for efficient, crop enhancing, full spectrum, lighting; greenhouse heating; crop fertilization; and by redirecting the CO2 from heater exhausts into greenhouses to increase plant growth rates, important foodcrop yields may exceed, by multiples, traditional techniques as crops flourish year round, 24/7, under glass while outside lands produce additional food crops as well as biofuel feedstocks.
I believe each of these goals is not only possible, but probable and I hope to exceed the indicated timelines.

That can change anytime - you can still buy or sell it :)
Is Zeon the flip from USSE? As a result of a reverse split of 5000(+/-) to 1; WOW! I've got...1.5 shares...!
It looks like some people decided it was a good idea to buy some ZEON
What could be going on here?

I guess we'll learn what it's called in due time (if that is the case)...
Until that day we have no vocabulary to describe what we're talking about, so for the sake of simplicity we've been calling the process, the "sstp process."
I believe it still has a lot to do with SSTP (given the fact that SSTP is the foundation for what we have as shareholders at this time), and I also believe that MG is a man of great integrity who will not forget the loyalty and patience of SSTP longtime shareholders!
I'm all for a new name, a new company, a new identity if that's what is coming to the SSTP shareholders.
I'm thankful to be a part of this and my shares speak for themselves in terms of my level of faith and commitment! :)
Perhaps there is a new and improved catalyst, or even a new and improved entire process!? (let's hope so!)
if so, then this would in no way be "the SSTP Process", by definition, would it????
maybe a better name is needed for this new wonder process, which has nothing to do with SSTP, a "Co" that basically does not have any operations, assets, employees, or officers.....
http://nvsos.gov/sosentitysearch/CorpDetails.aspx?lx8nvq=4FyLlI%252b8E55%252b%252fSK%252bBLO3UQ%253d%253d
No doubt, whatever process we refer to is very much contingent upon the catalyst involved! ...
Obviously, there appears to be much more than "junk" going on today -- otherwise, how do you explain the "few recent years" of Borneo involvement/study with Frontier and Vertrolysis?
Perhaps there is a new and improved catalyst, or even a new and improved entire process!? (let's hope so!)
What other logical explanation is there for Borneo to detail that in their 2014 report?
I think you and I both know in our gut that something very good is on the horizon :)
You could probably detail that better than I could :)
OK, here it goes:
Rivera and his followers always said what made the Rivera Process unique (which was always the same as the SSTP process on this board, until recently, it appears!!) was his secret catalyst, not the actual machines.....this was stated over and over, as anyone not a newbie knows.....he even claimed it involved some amazing and hazy nano-tech in the catalyst!!!......
the machines and its iterations have wandered over the years, from Co to Co, and location to location: Florida, Alabama, Mississippi (several MS locations), Texas.....and now apparently raised like a Zombie machine from the dead of a scrap heap, to land in Massachusetts, with some new paint....
in short, the Rivera process was never NEVER claimed to be anything special by its namesake, except for the catalyst, this is fact.....
(BTW, this is an old and very well-worn story for penny stock pyrolysis schemes, that they always have some "magic" and unique catalyst.....samo, samo)
if someone thought the Rivera process was special, and took Rivera at his word, the Rivera Process minus Rivera Catalyst (which seems to now equal the "SSTP process") is less than special......no matter how spiffy the new paint job might make it look, junk is junk.....
so I conclude that the SSTP process is the Rivera Process machine without the Rivera catalyst......big deal.....even the scamster Rivera admitted that the machine itself was not the big deal, in any way.....
RIP RIVERA, AMEN TO THE ONE TRUTH YOU TOLD!!!!!
You could probably detail that better than I could :)
Plus, I don't want to research for hours looking for everything linked to the "Rivera Process" ...
As far as I'm concerned, the JR days are long gone, and we are living in a new day revolving around "Vertrolysis, Frontier Bio., etc"
Are you not excited by the possibilities of what may be happening with Borneo!?
Plus, if Borneo is back in the picture, how many other entities could be involved with present-day discussions from back in the day!?
I'm VERY glad I sowed some seed in SSTP ... I believe the harvest is coming soon!
what's the difference, exactly????
be specific, please.....
do you consider "the SSTP process" to be the same as "the Rivera process"????
I will give you $100 if you can post a link to ANY credible, authoritative ruling of the SSTP process being ruled a fraud.
Thanks for the challenge will have to redo my research from a while back
CottonTwister
Are you sure you have your facts straight on that?
Please post a link that validates your post so we can examine the details and the issuing entity who determines where and what is permitted.
I have "heard" of what you posted, but haven't seen the details of it in writing.
Thanks CT
Agreed. There is a limit, but that limit always has room for improvement ... and to me improvement = more efficiency, which = more profit on the bottom line!
The way technology and knowledge is increasing in today's day and age, the potential of this process is nothing less than a complete global energy revolution!
I think we're in a good place :)
Re SSTP in Malaysia SSTP was only licensed for the "use" of the process and that license was granted for the USA only not international.
How does your comment re 5gls stand beside TAMU 4.44gls I agree it ain't 5gls but pretty close wouldn't you say?
BH
Best guess is that no matter how sophisticated a process would be there is bound to be a limit to the gas and oil that can be extracted from any feed stock. Each feed stock will have their own balance of
gas and oil
Let's hope so :)
Is it possible that there have been improvements since 2009 (that was 5 years ago) ? :)
For those interested in SSTP results from Texas A&M university report October 7th 2009
total oil from using soy bean feedstock is 54.4% by weight.
do your maths a bushel (60lbs) and you get 4.44gls of oil per bushel.
Not quite 5gls got pretty close though and the figures above came from the TAMU report and they ran the tests with SSTP.
OK KO,
After reading all your posts, it looks like the same broken record is still playing - everything you posted refers to claims against JR and/or his embellishments, NOT the actual process!
Allow me to remind everyone of this VERY IMPORTANT piece of info from a few years ago:
"With the involvement of the independent third party Texas A&M, additional corporate leadership, and a review of the facts, both parties sought to re-evaluate the past, extricate themselves from a time consuming and wasteful litigious situation, and look to the future. As a result, both SSTP and Borneo have agreed to drop their lawsuits, SSTP agreed to issue Borneo an agreed upon amount of stock in consideration for all proceeds previously remitted, and both parties agreed to mutual releases from past events while leaving the door open for future interactions with the possibility of extending the SSTP process at some point into Malaysia.
Is the future (or near future according to the Borneo 2014 Financials) about to become the present for SSTP in Malaysia!? ...
Is now the time for "the sweet" to emerge from "the bitter", according to the prophetic word spoken by KC!?
Has seed time passed, and soon its about to be harvest!? :)
Case 5:08-cv-00245-DCB-JMR Document 88
"Experts agree that experiments with pyrolysis hold promise of developing useful and cost effective technologies to extract energy from abundant forms of organic waste like woodchips, palm oil waste or other organic waste, regardless ofwhether accomplished by the “Rivera Process” or otherwise.
1
The Commission asserts that its case is not about whether a pyrolytic process like Rivera’s might someday be successful, but about whether Rivera’s claims that USSE had perfected the “RiveraProcess” in any commercially meaningful way were false. The Commission contends that there is no genuine issue of material fact disputing the falsity of Rivera’s alleged misrepresentations."
