Yes, crude by rail is more expensive than transporting crude oil by pipeline and considered more dangerous. And can cost a company about $3 or $4, on average, per barrel.

Totally agree, have to be a combination of both. (technology plus oil prices).Patience will be rewarded.
Oil Prices Finally Break $60
https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Oil-Prices-Finally-Break-60.html
I would say when oil prices stabilize above $65 a barrel or technology reduces cost or a combination of both change the picture +$10.00 from where they currently are SOIGF will be worth a fortune. Patience. It will happen.

That is greenie tree hugger nonsense. Without competition for Canadian oil it will continue to sell at a discount, while without pipelines the cost of transportation is increased. Canadian oil is taking it in both ends right now and has a harder time making projects economic. A couple of dollars less on the discount and a couple of dollars saved in transport and production is a lot more feasible. And by the way, pipelines are a lot safer environmentally than trucking or rail.
That is greenie trehugger

Some can pay at less than $50 now. I know of a couple that can produce for about 18.00. If not in production already I doubt they will start up at under $60 though.

Thanks for responding, really want to invest in this one just don't want them dilute to half the share price
about 142M outstanding, and the balance sheet is poor, just like most in the sector. If one believe oil will stay low they need to stay away from these type companies. I however do not expect oil to stay low a whole lot longer.
What is share structure and balance sheet?
