Junk. Look at the long term chart. EDF seems to always fall. Did poorly during the Great Recession in 2008 when it fell from $26 to $10. Also see:

I just bought 1000 units before the drop so I wasn't getting the warm and fuzzes to say the least!


It is back to where I made my purchase but still not comfortable yet! It has payed a steady dividend for a long time so will collect the monthly and see what happens!

No Xdate was a couple of days ago it seems to be something much worse based on todays drop because we were sitting on the 52 week low. This does not look good at all!

Stone Harbor Emerging Markets Income Fund (“the Fund”), which is traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol “EDF”, announced the declaration of monthly distributions of $0.18 per common share, payable on the dates noted below. Based of the Fund’s current share price of $24.78 and net asset value per share of $24.62 (as of close on April 27, 2011), the distributions represents an annualized yield of 8.71% and 8.77% respectively.

The following dates apply to the distributions declared:
Ex-Distribution Date: May 12, 2011
Record Date: May 16, 2011
Payable Date: May 26, 2011

Ex-Distribution Date: June 16, 2011
Record Date: June 20, 2011
Payable Date: June 30, 2011

Ex-Distribution Date: July 14, 2011
