APDR: closed .15 on friday. i picked it 10 trading days ago with a rough target of .16. now the 200 has come down to .15, which is where we are, so....looks like a good pick in the end.

SPCK came up on "Break Over Top Bolli" scan (my fav scan).. and also separately came up on "The Other Sar Buy " scan (where psar is .01, .02 instead of traditional .02, .20 - the green dots on my charts - try that one - I like it:)

Anyway, came up on both scans same day and if it starts trading strong in the .20's then high .30's likely imo

top bollie last week? or bottom? and sar separately? or do you do them together to get a tighter field? i would imagine that not too many top bollie's are getting psar buy signals.

i guess i missed it. do you have a target for SPCK?

USFI update: closed .86, high of .89.

short term macd crossed over to the downside. everything else looks good to go still. adx/dmi looks strong still. stoch's are topping out but not quite turning south yet.

the short-term macd may be my forewarning indicator.

weekly is still cruising right along but i guess i can see a correction coming, i dunno

How did I not find this before? look how much of the run i missed out on already. i'm finding that i may have to adjust my scans some. but not sure how.

All the indicators look great. DMI/ADX look great. the Macd's look great. accum, the aroon's, rsi's, stochs, everything.

not quite as good as daily, but still very good. weekly 200ma is at .40, so this may have yet another double in it. ??? will be watching.

Lately I've been experimenting with a new set-up ...

Stock is in an uptrend ... pps dips below 5 and 10 ma's yet the 21ema still trends strong over the 50ma ... when the pps comes back up over the 5ma - buy op.

We'll see ...

weekly: the weekly looks pretty amazing. 21ema crossing 200sma. indicators look like they are still screaming. this could go for a few more weeks looking at the weekly.

If it engulfs the wick then all the better, but not entirely neccessary.

I highly reccomend getting a book on candlesticks .. very helpful for referencing.

Steve Nisson is one of the best teachers in the field imo.

well, i'd check out the fib retrace numbers to see where they fall.
and i'd also look at a natural support around .04. interestingly (for me at least), that's right where i picked it.

quite a move, but still only (if one can say "only") a double from where i picked it.

so, didn't do any of the fundy's DD, but sounds like there's a story there which is cool. so it's got that going for it.... which is nice.

Yup.

The candle should completely 'engulf' the previous days candle (which should be quite small)

Note on that DPDW chart that it was a bullish engulfing candle at the bottom that kicked off the run in the first place:)

Last Engulfing Candles: Observations of a Chartist

I've mentioned these before .. and now that I'm looking at two live one's I thought I'd mention it again.

Engulfing candles are candlestick patterns that occur at either end of a trend. If at the bottom, then bullish. If at the top, then bearish. It doesn't matter what color they are.

If the bullish engulfing candle is red, then it is referred to as a 'Last Engulfing Candle' ... same for a white bearish engulfer at the top.

They're tricky ...

Note: I like DPDW here .. but it did lose nearly half it's value after this bearish last engulfing candle - I also like ERFW for more, but it is dipping after the candle formation :(

i just made a new scan that would identify stocks whose 21ema is crossing the 50dma. found one last night that looks ok. gonna check it now

i'm very skeptical of squeeze plays. regardless of DD, i'm skeptical of them. the mm's will wriggle out of it in many cases.

definitely rewarding....i'm trying to remember why it looked so good at the time. i picked it at .04 which was the day it closed above the 200 with strong volume.
that may be a key. get it on that day or the day after for top-notch gains.
