2 UFOs crash land in Kazakhstan - report
14 May, 01:47 PM
Two luminous balls have fallen from the sky into a field near a village in Kazakhstan. The Local Emergency Ministry is studying the objects, believed to be UFOs.
Residents of Razdolnoye village in Western Kazakhstan saw the UFOs at night.
“This was around three o’clock in the morning,” eyewitness Vladimir Bychkov told Interfax news agency Thursday.
“I was near my tractor, and heard guys shouting: ‘look, there are flying balls!’ They were big balls, and they had sparks falling off them – yellow, red, and green,” Bychkov said.
The balls were reported to have fallen on agricultural lands.
“We were afraid to approach them at first, but after they fell and cooled down, we came up to them and tried kicking them,” another eyewitness, Viktor Dyakov, said.
He said the balls were made from a "weird" material.
“We tried beating them with a chisel, but they didn’t give in, didn’t crease, only gave off sparks.”
According to Dyakov, the balls are silvery in color and around 60 cm in diameter. They also have a small hole on one side.
Emergency Ministry experts did not immediately give any comments.

Great - more NASA research balloons probing our PWT's anally!
FYI..Arizonans see UFO, NASA says it's research balloon
AP
Tue May 19, 7:07 am ET
PHOENIX – NASA officials say it wasn't an alien spacecraft people in Arizona and New Mexico spotted floating far above them in the clear blue sky, just a giant research balloon.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Ian Gregor says he got calls about the object all afternoon Monday.
Bill Stepp of NASA's Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Palestine, Texas, says the mysterious flying orb was a 4,000-pound NASA research balloon used to measure gamma ray emissions.
Stepp says the balloon usually floats at 130,000 feet and can be seen for about 170 miles on a clear day.
Jennifer McCoy, who runs a UFO-themed Store in Sedona with her husband, says it "looked like the gigantic bubble from the Wizard of Oz."

Former Head of Pension Agency Takes Fifth Amendment at Senate Hearing
The former director of the government's pension agency took the Fifth Amendment at a Senate hearing where lawmakers quizzed him about allegations that he had inappropriate contacts with three Wall Street firms.
AP
Wednesday, May 20, 2009
WASHINGTON -- The former director of the government's pension agency took the Fifth Amendment Wednesday when senators asked about allegations that he had inappropriate contacts with Wall Street firms while running the operation, which insures the pensions of 44 million Americans.
Charles E.F. Millard denies that he had improper communications with the firms that recently won multimillion-dollar contracts to advise the agency on a new strategy to invest its assets more heavily in stocks, real estate and private equity rather than more conservative fixed-income treasury securities.
In a statement issued before the hearing, Millard's attorney Stanley Brand questioned the Senate Special Committee on Aging's jurisdiction in the matter. He said he advised Millard to assert his constitutional rights because he believes certain members of Congress appear to have already reached negative conclusions about his client's actions.
"I decline to answer any and all questions," Millard said.
The allegations were contained in a PBGC inspector general's report last week that said Millard's office had hundreds of phone conversations and e-mails with the Wall Street firms bidding for the work in 2007 and 2008 at the same time he was actively evaluating their proposals.
"The draft report was published on a committee Web site and senators were calling for further investigations before the report was even final," Brand said. "The Fifth Amendment protects innocent people against hostile environments. And Congress's recent actions and statements have created a biased and hostile environment toward Mr. Millard."
The hearing was held at a time when the rapidly deteriorating financial health of the PBGC is raising alarms in Congress. Key lawmakers are demanding tougher rules to ensure vigilant oversight of its multibillion-dollar investment portfolio.
The recession is forcing into bankruptcy an increasing number of companies with underfunded pension plans, leaving the PBGC with billions of dollars more to pay out in pension checks to retirees in the future. Its long-term deficit tripled in the past six months to a startling $33.5 billion.

UPDATE: Bank of America Shares Sink On Common Stock OfferingLast update: 5/19/2009 7:44:58 PM(Updates status of deal and pricing.)
By Joe Bel Bruno and Lynn Cowan
Of DOW JONES NEWSWIRES
NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--Bank of America Corp. (BAC) shares sank in after-hours trading Tuesday after the banking giant sold more than 800 million common shares, according to a person familiar with the situation. Shares of the Charlotte-based bank fell 3.4% to $10.88 after the closing bell, adding to a 4.1% drop during the regular session. Bank of America sold 825 million shares at $10 apiece, according to the person familiar with the deal. It was unclear what type of structure the deal took and whether it included a conversion of any of the bank's privately held preferred shares. Bank of America declined to comment. The deal was first reported by business news network CNBC. Earlier this month, the bank was asked to raise its Tier 1 common equity level by $34 billion as a result of a government stress test of the country's largest banks. In a presentation to investors after the stress test on May 7, Bank of America said it would raise $17 billion in common equity through a combination of an at-the-market issuance program and exchanges of preferred shares to common stock for institutional investors. It plans to raise the remainder of its Tier 1 requirement through asset sales and other actions. -By Joe Bel Bruno and Lynn Cowan, Dow Jones Newswires; 201-938-4047; joe.belbruno@dowjones.com (END) Dow Jones NewswiresMay 19, 2009 19:44 ET (23:44 GMT)
BAC at 11.35 again now nice buy :)
Not much...Only things I'm doing different now
#1 Not fighting trends=trying to catch/stop falling knives
#2 Not holding volatile stocks over the weekend
#3 Either selling quicker if down or if holding waiting until a real bottom and reversal to average down.
#4 Avoiding small companies unless it is a daytrade and I can't watch it tick by tick.
Since doing these things and being back in the game about 2 weeks I'm doing much better :) (Of course I lost my azz when the market went from 10k to 6500 because I was trying to fight the trend/catch the bottom...LOL)
yeah that works
on the mark too
whatever, I agree
BAC is setting up for a nice run
all in
but room to buy more
as solid as it gets, you've said that from day one and I appreciate it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
You've not changed at all!

Lost the profit on FAZ - bac is fun to watch right now
I bought GM at 1.00 and sold same day at 1.35 - don't want to be part of the 100 to 1 reverse split - but will buy on the dump right after
Your probobly right...do you still have any GM? It's 1.27 nice rise from 1.00 :)
BAC will be $30.00 in short order
BAC back below 11$ after being 11.30 afterhours, FAZ back to 5.10 after dropping to 5.05 people don't know how or what the hell they are trading LOL!
