I can't find any legitimate valuation estimates tonight. All trusted sources have to crunch the numbers and figure out what the acquisition means. Nobodies on other message boards are saying $26, but I see no support for such wild speculation. It appears the company they acquired was more valueable than SR. The tiny float is causing the wild swings - the short interest was small. This comany had a PPS of $16 as early as 2011. Basically, looks like we have an USU situation here, which means we may have more fun for a period of time.

Ticker is obviously very high-risk so trade with care.

Document management company Standard Register (SR_) said Thursday, Aug. 1, it would acquire crosstown rival WorkflowOne in a deal valued at $218 million in equity and assumed debt.

Terms of the deal call for Standard Register to assume $210 million of long-term debt and issue warrants with an estimated value of $8 million for WorkflowOne, which like the buyer, is based in Dayton, Ohio. Standard said that post-deal it would have $1 billion in annual sales and more than 4,000 workers, while having a more complete portfolio of printing, document management and business workflow products.

Standard Register currently offers marketing communications products, printing and office management software for health care companies and other businesses.

"The acquisition of WorkflowOne increases our customer base and incremental growth opportunities," Standard Register CEO Joseph Morgan Jr. said in a statement. "It also provides new markets and capabilities in retail and promotional products and cross-selling opportunities. And, importantly, we are acquiring a significant pool of talented people with expertise in our industry and markets."

The deal is a substantial one for Standard Register, which had just $1 million in cash on its balance sheet as of March 31 and is valued by the market at $60 million. But investors on Thursday cheered the announcement, sending Standard Register's thinly-traded shares up 286%, or $8.56, at midday Thursday to $11.56. More than 4 million shares had traded hands by 1:30 p.m., compared to the company's average 3-month daily volume of 7,578 shares.

Standard Register said that in conjunction with the deal, it has completed an early renewal and expansion of its credit facility, entering into a five year, $125 million senior-secured asset-based facility arranged by Bank of America NA. The company has also engaged AlixPartners LLP to assist in integration planning.

Just got home from the kids soccer game. Love that $14.50 after hours close. This ticker could move big again tomorrow - every trader will be looking at this one tonight after checking the NYSE top gainers list. Fundamentally, traders (including me) have no idea what this company is worth, but that didn't stop a 360% rise today. If the uptrend recommences, I am going to let it ride. Pre-market tomorrow will be interesting; hopefully their aren't too many articles bashing the value of the company until the weekend and we get one more day of volatile trading.

I picked some up EOD - decided to take the risk. Many did not want to hold over night and dumped 15 minutes before close sending the price far down. I think tomorrow we will at least hit the old hit of $16.40 - from $13.50, that would be a nice win. After hours trended up nice.

Look at Sept. 2009 and the crazy run to $40 - how is that for a high target? USU went this wild, and we have another low floater here. Obviously, I don't expect that, but who knows. Anyone would have said your nuts if you predicted the close at 10AM today. The chart moved up nice and steady which is great - traders have a nice ACB in this now.

Shorts got screwed. Share structure is tight - plus insiders/institutions hold the majority of shares - So be careful while trying to short IMO - These things breakout with volume - HFT firms in action IMO.

I found it in the AM - Posted on the ATS board shortly after that - Waited for the 1st wave to get over - Wanted to play the bounce - But she broke out from 7.20 instead of correcting - I have seen this kinda movement before (Played US*) - Then I played the breakout and some further dips/rips - 1st buy was at 7.25 (NOT 17.25 as in that earlier post, lolzzz) - Last sell was at 14.98 - This kinda play is very risky IMO - Must have a no restriction broker - Good for flips only IMO - Not for swing trading.
