Broker-dealers may not give their customers prices inferior to those currently being quoted on inter-dealer quotation systems.
When stocks move, they usually move as groups; there are very few lone guns out there. Many times it is more important to be in the right industry than in the right stock!

FINRA members may not trade for their own account at prices that are equal to or better than the prices of limit orders that they have received from their customers or from another FINRA member firm on behalf of its customers. Protecting customer limit orders encourages the use of such orders by the investing public and results in more capital committed to securities trading in the secondary markets by a source other than securities dealers. The protection of customer limit orders for all OTC securities was implemented in the 4th quarter of 2008.
To forecast future stock prices, fundamental analysis combines economic, industry, and company analysis to derive a stock's current fair value and forecast future value.

Where Is Support Established?
Support levels are usually below the current price, but it is not uncommon for a security to trade at or near support.
Short sellers are subject to price manipulation schemes – or short squeezes. In a short squeeze, traders believing that there are a lot of short sellers begin buying shares to force the price and the short sellers losses higher. These traders hope that the short sellers will be forced to buy pushing the price even higher at which point they can sell their shares at a profit. Short squeezes are easier to execute in illiquid securities.

A resistance breakout signals that demand (bulls) has gained the upper hand and a support break signals that supply (bears) has won the battle.
This trading process example is very basic but it helps to explain how the OTC market efficiently trades in excess of $600 million on a daily basis.

Does it sound too good to be true? Then it probably is. You should never make a decision about investing your money in a particular company solely on the basis of a "hot tip" or someone's advice. It is important that you make an informed decision based on your thorough research which includes the company's annual report, current financial statements and material news.

There is an old Wall Street adage: the value of any asset (stock) is only what someone is willing to pay for it (current price). Just as stock prices fluctuate, so too do growth and multiplier assumptions. Are we to believe Wall Street and the stock price or the analyst and market assumptions?
U.S. OTC market contains the same participants and incentives as other U.S. markets. The same is true for trading in OTC securities.

The fee may be in the form of a commission, regulatory fee or tax, or some other incidental expense. These secondary "advance fee" schemes work very similarly to boiler room operations, the difference being that an advance fee scheme generally targets investors who already purchased underperforming securities, perhaps through an affiliated boiler room, offering to arrange a lucrative sale of those securities, but first requiring the payment of an “advance fee.”
Once the price breaks below a support level, the broken support level can turn into resistance.

The OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB) is an electronic inter-dealer quotation system that displays quotes, last-sale prices, and volume information for many OTC equity securities that are not listed on a national securities exchange. Securities quoted on the OTCBB include domestic, foreign and American depository receipts (ADRs).
The list can seem quite long and intimidating. However, after a while, an investor will learn what works best and develop a set of preferred analysis techniques. There are many different valuation metrics and much depends on the industry and stage of the economic cycle.

There is no central ‘exchange’ in the OTC market; therefore, broker-dealers must communicate and trade directly with other broker-dealers. In order to notify other broker-dealers that they are willing to trade a security at a particular price, broker-dealers post their ‘quotes’ on an Inter-dealer Quotation system such as OTC Link. The aggregation and ranking of these quotes defines the ‘market’ for a security. The highest ‘bid’ (purchase price) and lowest ‘ask or offer’ (sale price) becomes the ‘inside market’ or NBBO – the National Best Bid and Offer.
When the economy expands, most industry groups and companies benefit and grow. When the economy declines, most sectors and companies usually suffer.
The OTC market provides an alternative to stock exchange listing for securities of issuers that either choose not to be listed on a U.S. stock exchange or do not meet the relevant listing requirements. The term ‘OTC security’ is a catch–all phrase for any security that is not listed on a U.S. stock exchange.
