Does it sound too good to be true? Then it probably is. You should never make a decision about investing your money in a particular company solely on the basis of a "hot tip" or someone's advice. It is important that you make an informed decision based on your thorough research which includes the company's annual report, current financial statements and material news.

There is an old Wall Street adage: the value of any asset (stock) is only what someone is willing to pay for it (current price). Just as stock prices fluctuate, so too do growth and multiplier assumptions. Are we to believe Wall Street and the stock price or the analyst and market assumptions?
U.S. OTC market contains the same participants and incentives as other U.S. markets. The same is true for trading in OTC securities.

The other turn of the coin is resistance turning into support. As the price advances above resistance, it signals changes in supply and demand.
The Caveat Emptor symbol is displayed in place of the OTC marketplace identifier on all OTC Markets’ platforms and is distributed on market data feeds. The symbol is displayed wherever OTC Markets’ quote data is available. It is used by investors, broker-dealers, clearing firms and other industry participants when they make trading decisions.

The fee may be in the form of a commission, regulatory fee or tax, or some other incidental expense. These secondary "advance fee" schemes work very similarly to boiler room operations, the difference being that an advance fee scheme generally targets investors who already purchased underperforming securities, perhaps through an affiliated boiler room, offering to arrange a lucrative sale of those securities, but first requiring the payment of an “advance fee.”
Once the price breaks below a support level, the broken support level can turn into resistance.

The OTC Bulletin Board (OTCBB) is an electronic inter-dealer quotation system that displays quotes, last-sale prices, and volume information for many OTC equity securities that are not listed on a national securities exchange. Securities quoted on the OTCBB include domestic, foreign and American depository receipts (ADRs).
The list can seem quite long and intimidating. However, after a while, an investor will learn what works best and develop a set of preferred analysis techniques. There are many different valuation metrics and much depends on the industry and stage of the economic cycle.

There is no central ‘exchange’ in the OTC market; therefore, broker-dealers must communicate and trade directly with other broker-dealers. In order to notify other broker-dealers that they are willing to trade a security at a particular price, broker-dealers post their ‘quotes’ on an Inter-dealer Quotation system such as OTC Link. The aggregation and ranking of these quotes defines the ‘market’ for a security. The highest ‘bid’ (purchase price) and lowest ‘ask or offer’ (sale price) becomes the ‘inside market’ or NBBO – the National Best Bid and Offer.
When the economy expands, most industry groups and companies benefit and grow. When the economy declines, most sectors and companies usually suffer.
The OTC market provides an alternative to stock exchange listing for securities of issuers that either choose not to be listed on a U.S. stock exchange or do not meet the relevant listing requirements. The term ‘OTC security’ is a catch–all phrase for any security that is not listed on a U.S. stock exchange.

Many foreign issuers adhere to the listing requirements of qualified Non-US Stock Exchanges[8] and make their home country disclosure available in English.[9] There are also a significant number of US issuers who are current in their reporting to regulators[10] such as the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) or make available ongoing quarterly and audited annual financial reports through OTC Markets Group.

If fair value is not equal to the current stock price, fundamental analysts believe that the stock is either over or under valued and the market price will ultimately gravitate towards fair value.
While OTC Markets Group’s products and services facilitate the reporting, clearing, and settlement process by transmitting trade data to the broker-dealers, all three functions are the responsibility of the executing broker-dealers.

What Is More Important than Why
If you own stock that has been delisted from an exchange and is now quoted on OTC Link or the OTC Bulletin Board, nothing has changed with the shares themselves. You are still the beneficial owner of the securities and may trade them. You should check with your current broker-dealer to make certain that they provide services in OTC securities. If not, you will need to locate a broker-dealer that does provide services in OTC securities.

The price set by the market reflects the sum knowledge of all participants, and we are not dealing with lightweights here. These participants have considered (discounted) everything under the sun and settled on a price to buy or sell.
The advantages of OTC derivatives over exchange-traded ones are mainly the lower fees and taxes, and greater freedom of negotiation and customization of a transaction, as it involves only a seller and a buyer and no standardization authority.

Short selling is a trading strategy where an investor, believing that a security is over-valued, borrows (from a broker-dealer or institutional investor) and sells a security and then repurchases and returns (to the broker-dealer or institutional investor) the security at a lower price. The difference between the sale price and the purchase price is the investor’s profit.

Priced quotations in the OTC Link or the OTCBB inter-dealer quotation systems are firm for certain minimum sizes. Minimum quote sizes are based upon quote price. As the price of a quote decreases, the size associated with a price increases. Mandatory sizes assure a minimum amount of liquidity in the market and add weight to a member’s firm quote obligation.
Faulty analysis is rarely caused by the chart. Before blaming your charting method for missing a signal, first look at your analysis.
