Terrorism is only one part of the attack on America. It is being done all around us, in the very structural foundation of our country.

are you calling me a liberal or am I taking that wrong?
better to ask him
I ain't no racist and have never been, I ain't no liberal and I ain't no republican either. Thats the way it is whether any here believes it or not. I do agree with your post, we need to pull together, the 1% ers don't care what happens to the workin man and it's only gonna get harder on the common folk. We need solutions not name calling.
I think I am. Despite reports that the
US Navy is shrinking and it's true. It's still the most powerful military force on the planet. We have 11 carrier battle groups (CBG). One is in routine repair so there are only ten operational. Each CBG has an escort of one Aegis cruser two Aegis destoyers, a frigate and one or two attack submarines. Nobody knows where the boomers are. Or where the other crusers and destroyers and subs are. There are 22 Aegis crusers and 62 DDG's and counting. There are 50 plus attack subs. All the Aegis ships are being modified to shoot down ICBM's durning there routine overhauls. I'm confident unless Obama is re-elected. IMO.

Obama the Great
Obama has moved swiftly to concentrate power in the White House, bypassing the review of our elected representatives in Congress in most of the posts listed above. Even though cabinet positions are part of the executive branch, the cabinet secretaries must be approved by Congress, they are funded by Congress, and they can be called before Congress to testify. Most of these czars, on the other hand, are appointed by Obama at his sole discretion, and are answerable only to him. If subpoenaed by Congress, they can claim executive privilege.
Right after the election last November, Lowell Ponte of NewsMax published a tongue-in-cheek article that purported to be written eight years in the future, looking back on the Obama administration. Given the administration's current initiatives, the ominous prognostication seems frighteningly likely:
Looking back from 2016 on eight strange years of President Barack Obama's administration, we see that it has been nothing like what idealists believed they were electing in 2008.
The Obama years will be remembered in the Ministry of Truth's official history as the era of 1,000 czars, the elitist commissars he gave the power to rule by fiat in every sector of America's government, economy, and society.... And through their partisan power, Barack Obama became America's permanent caesar.

Surplus Never Existed
Why Bush Isn’t Responsible for Today’s Debt Crisis
Mike Brownfield
April 17, 2012
We get it, the last thing President Obama wants is to be blamed for is the nation’s growing debt—or anything else, actually. But the statute of limitations on blaming President George W. Bush for everything—anything—must have run out by now. On the debt in particular, it’s sort of a hard thing to avoid considering President Obama is the first president in history to preside over four years of deficits in excess of $1 trillion.
But in the time honored tradition of the Obama Administration, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner took to the Sunday talk shows to wrongly lay the blame for the country’s massive debt squarely at the feet of President Bush. Geithner, however, overlooks the truth and ignores just how much deeper in debt President Obama’s failed leadership will leave America in the future.
Speaking on Meet the Press, Geithner claimed that “The vast bulk of the increase in debt is a result of the policy choices made by [Obama's] predecessor to finance very expensive tax cuts by borrowing, to finance two wars by borrowing, finance a big expansion of Medicare by borrowing, not cutting other spending or raising taxes. That’s the bulk of the contribution.” And of course, Geithner says that Obama is blameless, arguing that his policies “caused only about 12%, a very small fraction of the increase in debt you’ve seen over this period of time.”
First thing’s first: Are President Bush’s policies to blame for today’s debt? Quite simply, no.
Tax cuts of 2001 and 2003:
The left has blamed the Bush tax cuts for wiping out a $5.6 trillion surplus, leaving America with “deficits as far as the eye can see.” That surplus, though, never existed.
According to Heritage research, the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) projected that surplus in January 2001 based on the assumption that the economy would keep growing at the late 1990s rate, that the stock market bubble would continue and generate record revenues, and that there would be no recessions, terrorist attacks or natural disasters, and that all discretionary spending would fall to 1930s levels.
Those assumptions, as we now know, were miles off target, and the anticipated surplus never materialized. From the years 2002 to 2011, the United States ran a deficit of about $6.1 trillion — an $11.7 trillion swing from what CBO projected. At a cost of $1.7 trillion, the Bush tax cuts only account for 14% of that amount. Blaming those tax cuts for today’s debt just doesn’t add up.
The Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the Medicare Prescription Drug Program:
How about the war spending and the prescription drug costs that Geithner also cites as the root cause of the debt? Again, he’s wrong. And here’s why.
Those policies were implemented in the early 2000s, and through 2008, annual deficits ranged from $160 billion to $458 billion annually. But in 2009, after President Obama took office, that number shot up to $1.4 trillion. How could existing policies with stable costs suddenly triple the annual deficit? They couldn’t — the cause was collapsing revenues from the recession along with Obama’s stimulus spending.
The Future:
While Geithner and the president are turning their heads to stare down the past, they’re refusing to do anything about the future. And they’re making matters worse. Under the president’s budget, mandatory spending increases by $1.16 trillion through 2022 while producing cumulative deficits of $6.4 trillion. Meanwhile, the president does nothing to reform the tax code or to tackle the entitlement spending crisis, leaving the future even worse than the present.

If Iran gets a nuke, all of the enemies of America, Democracy and True Freedom will get the nuke; all of the Infidels will be in danger!

Yaalon: Iran World's Number One Threat
Minister of Strategic Affairs Moshe Yaalon criticized Western 'hesitancy' in dealing with Iran saying the military option must be credible
By Gabe Kahn
3/23/2012
Vice Premier and Minister of Strategic Affairs Moshe Yaalon said Thursday that Iran's nuclear program is the leading global security threat.
"The main threat to regional and world stability comes from Tehran and the Iranian regime." Yaalon stressed during the visit referred to in high school in Kiryat Haim.
"Imagine what it would do upon achieving such capability," Yaalon said, adding "The nuclear umbrella will not just open against us, but against the United States."
"What if they put a dirty bomb in Manhattan, Los Angeles, or the Port of Haifa? This could come to pass if Iran obtains military nuclear capability. The whole world understands this today - and in recent months it has risen to the top of the global agnda.
"Given that everyone agrees we should stop [Iran's] nuclear program, we must convey our determination to impose sanctions backed up by a strong and credible military threat. If Iran feels the genuine pressure of a threat, it will act rationally. When you threaten their survival, they become irrational," Yaalon said.
However, Yaalon was highly critical of what he described as the West's "hesitancy" in dealing with Tehran.
"On the one hand the West has levied sanctions, which is good," Yaalon said. "But, on the other hand, the West hesitates because they worry over rising oil prices. Iranians call this fear and manipulate them, threatening a crisis in the Straits of Hormuz - threatening a sharp rise in prices fuel."
As a result the West just "wants to intensify sanctions rather than strike and see gas prices rise. It is better to pay more for gasoline now than when Iran becomes a nuclear power and can directly control oil prices," he said.
As for the military option, Yaalon said "the West wants to avoid a confrontation and we must confront them about it. The military option is a last resort, but we must make it clear the threat is serious. If no one else will act, we have no choice but to do it ourselves."
"It does not matter whether we attack or coalition forces led by the US attack, there is no doubt that the Iranians will strike at Israel either way," he added.

The Mortal Threat From Iran
Iran can sea-launch from off our coasts. Germany planned this in World War II. If cocaine can be smuggled into the U.S. without interdiction, we cannot dismiss the possibility of an Iranian nuke ending up in Manhattan.
By Mark Helprin
January 18, 2012
To assume that Iran will not close the Strait of Hormuz is to assume that primitive religious fanatics will perform cost-benefit analyses the way they are done at Wharton. They won't, especially if the oil that is their life's blood is threatened. If Iran does close the strait, we will fight an air and naval war derivative of and yet peripheral to the Iranian nuclear program, a mortal threat the president of the United States has inadequately addressed.
A mortal threat when Iran is not yet in possession of a nuclear arsenal? Yes, because immediately upon possession all remedies are severely restricted. Without doubt, Iran has long wanted nuclear weapons—to deter American intervention in its and neighboring territories; to threaten Europe and thereby cleave it from American interests in the Middle East; to respond to the former Iraqi nuclear effort; to counter the contiguous nuclear presences in Pakistan, Russia and the U.S. in the Gulf; to neutralize Israel's nuclear deterrent so as to limit it to the attrition of conventional battle, or to destroy it with one lucky shot; to lead the Islamic world; to correct the security imbalance with Saudi Arabia, which aided by geography and American arms now outclasses it; and to threaten the U.S. directly.
In the absence of measures beyond pinpoint sanctions and unenforceable resolutions, Iran will get nuclear weapons, which in its eyes are an existential necessity. We have long known and done nothing about this, preferring to dance with the absurd Iranian claim that it is seeking electricity. With rampant inflation and unemployment, a housing crisis, and gasoline rationing, why spend $1,000-$2,000 per kilowatt to build nuclear plants instead of $400-$800 for gas, when you possess the second largest gas reserves in the world? In 2005, Iran consumed 3.6 trillion cubic feet of its 974 trillion cubic feet of proven reserves, which are enough to last 270 years. We know that in 2006—generation exceeding consumption by 10%—Iran exported electricity and planned a high-tension line to Russia to export more.
Accommodationists argue that a rational Iran can be contained. Not the Iran with a revered tradition of deception; that during its war with Iraq pushed 100,000 young children to their deaths clearing minefields; that counts 15% of its population as "Volunteer Martyrs"; that chants "Death to America" at each session of parliament; and whose president states that no art "is more beautiful . . . than the art of the martyr's death." Not the Iran in thrall to medieval norms and suffering continual tension and crises.
Its conceptions of nuclear strategy are very likely to be looser, and its thresholds lower, than those of Russia and China, which are in turn famously looser and lower than our own. And yet Eisenhower and Churchill weighed a nuclear option in Korea, Kennedy a first strike upon the U.S.S.R., and Westmoreland upon North Vietnam. How then can we be certain that Iran is rational and containable?
Inexpert experts will state that Iran cannot strike with nuclear weapons. But let us count the ways. It has the aerial tankerage to sustain one or two planes that might slip past air defenses between it and Israel, Europe, or the U.S., combining radar signatures with those of cleared commercial flights. As Iran increases its ballistic missile ranges and we strangle our missile defenses, America will face a potential launch from Iranian territory.
Iran can sea-launch from off our coasts. Germany planned this in World War II. Subsequently, the U.S. completed 67 water-supported launches, ending as recently as 1980; the U.S.S.R. had two similar programs; and Iran itself has sea-launched from a barge in the Caspian. And if in 2007, for example, 1,100 metric tons of cocaine were smuggled from South America without interdiction, we cannot dismiss the possibility of Iranian nuclear charges of 500 pounds or less ending up in Manhattan or on Pennsylvania Avenue.
The probabilities of the above are subject to the grave multiplication of nuclear weapons. Of all things in respect to the Iranian nuclear question, this is the most overlooked. A 1-in-20 chance of breaking a leg is substantially different from a 1-in-20 chance of dying, itself different from a 1-in-20 chance of half a million people dying. Cost drastically changes the nature of risk, although we persist in ignoring this. Assuming that we are a people worthy of defending ourselves, what can be done?
Much easier before Iran recently began to burrow into bedrock, it is still possible for the U.S., and even Israel at greater peril, to halt the Iranian nuclear program for years to come. Massive ordnance penetrators; lesser but precision-guided penetrators "drilling" one after another; fuel-air detonations with almost the force of nuclear weapons; high-power microwave attack; the destruction of laboratories, unhardened targets, and the Iranian electrical grid; and other means, can be combined to great effect.
Unlike North Korea, Iran does not yet possess nuclear weapons, does not have the potential of overwhelming an American ally, and is not of sufficient concern to Russia and China, its lukewarm patrons, for them to war on its behalf. It is incapable of withholding its oil without damaging itself irreparably, and even were it to cease production entirely, the Saudis—in whose interest the elimination of Iranian nuclear potential is paramount—could easily make up the shortfall. Though Iran might attack Saudi oil facilities, it could not damage them fatally. The Gulf would be closed until Iranian air, naval, and missile forces there were scrubbed out of existence by the U.S., probably France and Britain, and the Saudis themselves, in a few weeks.
It is true that Iranian proxies would attempt to exact a price in terror world-wide, but this is not new, we would brace for the reprisals, and although they would peak, they would then subside. The cost would be far less than that of permitting the power of nuclear destruction to a vengeful, martyrdom-obsessed state in the midst of a never-subsiding fury against the West.
Any president of the United States fit for the office should someday, soon, say to the American people that in his judgment Iran—because of its longstanding and implacable push for nuclear weapons, its express hostility to the U.S., Israel and the West, and its record of barbarity and terror—must be deprived of the capacity to wound this country and its allies such as they have never been wounded before.
Relying solely upon his oath, holding in abeyance any consideration of politics or transient opinion, and eager to defend his decision in exquisite detail, he should order the armed forces of the United States to attack and destroy the Iranian nuclear weapons complex. When they have complied, and our pilots are in the air on their way home, they will have protected our children in their beds—and our children's children, many years from now, in theirs. May this country always have clear enough sight and strong enough will to stand for itself in the face of mortal threat, and in time.

Why the US Must Attack Iran
Written by Peter Paton
on September 22, 2011
With the American pull out of Iraq now complete, we are already seeing the first effects of Iran colonizing the Iraqi country as a Shia satellite of the Iranian Regime. With Shia/Sunni internecine religious war already breaking out in the wake of the American withdrawal, suicide bombings devastating the populace, and the Iranian backed extremist Sadr and his huge following coming back to the political forefront, there may well be a very compelling and enhanced case for an American led invasion of Iran to stop the spread of Iranian Expansionism and stymie their nuclear aspirations.
There is a very compelling argument for President Barack Obama to initiate an American attack on Iran for a myriad of important reasons. First and foremost is the Shoah threat a nuclear empowered Iran would pose to our greatest ally in the Middle East, Israel. Iran’s Supreme Spiritual Leader Ayatollah Khameni and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad are avowed enemies of the Zionists, and have pledged to destroy the Land of Israel. A nuclear equipped Shia Iran would be a perilous threat to American and Nato forces and assets in the strategic Middle East, and Iran would be able to blackmail other Arab states to toe its autocratic line, and seriously threaten neighboring Sunni states like Saudi Arabia, in sum total, a nuclear Iran would become the dominant hostile Arab force in the Middle East, and be in a strategic position to imperil European states like Great Britain with Intercontinental nuclear tipped missiles.
If President Obama were to launch an all out American first strike on Iran, and most intelligence experts concur that only the Americans have the military might and capabilities to do the job, as it would require continuous air and cruise missile bombardment over several days to totally eliminate the Iranian underground nuclear facilities, then the rewards and fruits of his labors could be enormous for President Obama.Taking out Iran’s nuclear aspirations would liberate the oppressed Iranian people, free Israel, America and the Free World from the number one threat to their existence, and would also create the fertile and imaginative soil for a genuine and flourishing New Middle East Order, with Israel able to reach a peace accord with its Arab neighbors, a two nation-state solution. In detail: a demilitarized Palestine alongside a Jewish Israel, all of this would undoubtedly be the catalyst for a triumphant and victorious President Obama to be re-elected for four more years of office in November 2012.
