It also owned and operated 188 telecommunication facilities in approximately 250 cities that enable its customers to connect to the Internet through a local telephone call. The company serves information technology enabled services, banking financial services and insurance, publishing, retail, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing industries.
It has a strategic partnership with the Power Grid Corporation of India. The company was founded in 1995. It was formerly known as Satyam Infoway Limited and changed its name to Sify Limited in 2003. Further, the company changed its name to Sify Technologies Limited in October 2007. Sify Technologies is headquartered in Chennai, India.
