MORE 180 DAYS (is more than sufficient)
As i believed and told before in another forum, Shiner Inc was granting an additional 180-day period. This is first step to an "upside point".
Link to PR
http://finance.yahoo.com/news/shiner-international-receives-nasdaq-notice-113000530.html
Why I`m BEST believer
In this game I look for small caps placed on a business with great growth potential in mass. And in these analyzes, I select companies with good management and will use the money from shareholders to grow business and generate revenue.
But I see that few people realized that the management of Shiner are doing just that, grow for profit, and in a sustained manner.
The value of BEST stock followed the general decline of markets, Chinese stocks were the most severely due to the uncertainty and mistrust.
If the company wanted to speculate, they would have had many opportunities to do so, and did not.
Shiner proved not only their presence but also showed that is growing.
In China they continue their expansion. The hardest challenge was to get global distribution channels.
“Shiner Signs Global Partnership With Treofan and Alliance, Setting Stage for Strong Growth” 10/24/2011
http://www.worldpressonline.com/PressRelease/treofan-signs-global-partnership-with-shiner-and-alliance-setting-stage-for-strong-growth-31407.html
http://www.treofan.com/about-us/news-a-press/press-releases
http://www.alliancepackaging.net/
“Under the terms of the agreement, sales and research teams from the partner companies will collaborate. Treofan will have exclusive responsibility for marketing and sales of coated films and tobacco films for Shiner in Europe and the Americas (Canada excluded); Shiner will gain access to Treofan’s advanced technologies for tobacco films and packaging for sale in the Chinese market; and Alliance will have the primary responsibility for sales and marketing for all packaging films from Treofan and Shiner in the Asia-Pacific market. The partnership will provide the partners' customers with a much broader range of high-end global packaging film and related services. “ Treofan CEO Giovanni Canetta
The challenge was overcome.
This partnership, which had an immediate effect on PR, allows the Shiner open the doors to the world and become a global company.
For this jump Shiner had to prepare. They built Hainan facility and subsequently acquired his new Brueckner BOPP film line.
http://www.brueckner.com/news-room/excellent-tobacco-films-on-shiners-new-brueckner-line-750/
http://www.brueckner.com
http://www.shinerinc.com/news_read.asp?id=368
The line is already in operation and double production capacity to 20,500 ton BOPP film /year (Represent 46% of total revenue in 2011 first 9 months). This investment was completed in December 2011 and had a cost of $25 million USA dollars.
There are other good points:
- On May 2, 2011, Shiner acquired 100% of the stock of Shimmer Sun Ltd for $3.2 million
- Shiner has been appointed a “Standards Creator” in Coated Film by the Standardization Administration of the PRC
- They have many benefits tax`s from PRC government
- The Company's flexible packaging meets the approval of U.S. FDA requirements, as well as those required for food packaging sold in the European Union, and its product manufacturing process is certified under ISO 9001:2000. They exceed government requirements in China.
- Many of Shiner customers are PRC`S Top 500 enterprises
- In 2011 they have 9% of BOPP tobacco film market share in China, and they expect reach 15% in 2012. ( “ China's Tobacco Industry Registers Sharp growth in Taxes, Profits.” (22.5 percent year-on-year) – TobaccoChina Online 01/30/2012 )
- Highlight the company R & D, wich I believe is "on top":
In addition to its research offices (includes 21 engineers and technicians), the company has agreements with university laboratories ensuring for himself all the results of investigations and helping the community education
“In addition to in-house R&D, we have sponsored several projects with research institutions and universities in China to which we retain all proprietary rights for the research funded by us. We also have a formal agreement with China’s Science & Technology University through 2015 for which we have proprietary rights to all findings based upon dedicated research conducted on our behalf. We also have informal alliances with Fudan University in Shanghai, Sun Yat Sen University (Zhong Shan) in Guangzhou and Tsinghua University in Beijing.”
- The company is a leader in the production processes of high technology. They have 16 patents and 10 pending for approval.
- They are principal drafter of three national (PRC) standards, which become effective on December 1, 2011
“Shiner International, Inc. as Principal Drafter of National Food Safety Packaging Standards“ 22-11-2011
http://www.finanznachrichten.de/nachrichten-2011-11/22009079-shiner-international-inc-as-principal-drafter-of-national-food-safety-packaging-standards-008.htm
The Shiner has been keen on investments and have proven they know to take advantage of market opportunities.
"I, together with our Board and management, remain optimistic about the future of Shiner, and we will proceed to seek to create value for our shareholders. In order to Maintain our competitiveness, we will to continue to strengthen our R & D capabilities through staff training, equipment upgrades and collaborative programs with partners, including leading universities. Our growing R & D Efforts are Focused on Developing Technologies That will help us Improve production efficiency and product quality, while Lowering production costs and simultaneously expanding our product portfolio. "Yuet Ying - Chairman of the Board of Directors
"The financing is Intended to help us Maintain the Greater amount of working capital and allow us to further Top Strategic our growth initiative of seeking acquisitions in October That Enhance Shiner's leadership position in the food safety packaging industry. We are looking for acquisition opportunities That give us the Ability to use or own advanced technologies, to control key raw materials, or access to large customers. "Qingtao Xing, the Chief Executive Officer of Shiner
The company has already secured profit and growth to 2012 with:
Production contracts acquired in 2012; Retrenchment; Increase in production capacity; Partnerships established.
The action is undervalued by miles and isn`t easy to find companies that are close to an "upside point" so obvious. And with this globalization of market operation sure we will hear more news of BEST.
Invest a little of your time to analyze this company.
Listen last conference call made by Qingtao Xing, the Chief Executive Officer of Shiner, http://www.shinerinc.com/news_read.asp?id=369 and take your conclusions.
I think Besties is gonna get kicked off the NASDAQ for such a low stock price, I got a "shiner" from Shiner. I've done nothing but lose money on this one.
Guys, I sold my position today to move on to other stocks that appear more promising at this time. I still think this is a great long-term investment, but it's hung up the the china storm at this time. With this said, I will be resigning as moderator. GLTYA!!!!

HAIKOU, China, May 02, 2011 (PR Newswire Europe via COMTEX) -- Shiner
International, Inc. ("Shiner" or the "Company"), an emerging global supplier of
packaging solutions for food, tobacco, and consumer products, today announced
that it has acquired 100% of the stock of Shimmer Sun Ltd. ("Shimmer") for $3.2
million in cash. The acquisition gives Shiner a 65% controlling interest in
Shimmer's subsidiary company, Ningbo Neisuoer Latex Co., Ltd. ("Ningbo

Alot of companies out there trading are losing money yet trading higher then $1.12.
this is just MM playing games with a low float stock.
I love a company that's making money cause sooner or later other's will too.
I think I see something though in their 2011 projected earnings. They have lowered them from 27¢ to 17¢, I think that is what has people bailing on their stock. I like a stock better when it is projecting 40% growth and not break even growth. Although, they could beat those numbers for a pleasant surprise or people could focus on the 2012 projection, which is 29¢ a share, so even with a P.E. of 7 (average for rubber and plastic is about 10), it is conservatively a $2 dollar stock in 2012.
Very Very Good Earnings. Stock price should imho catch up to what the earnings were.
love the iconese, I speak redneck, not real sure I can post a symbol for that one, lol!!!
BEST is coming back pretty strong today, I feel real positive about the stock, think we will like how it performs this year!
I think I have, but it won't let me post :(
I think I need a suped up account or something and I don't really have the money for an upgrade ;-;
(That's a little face crying for those that do not speak iconese) >u<
(and that is a little face with scrunched eyes and a smile)
I better post something about BEST though... so, I think they should release a PR statement, anything at all that puts them in the news. I think this company is a very good investment, but it is so far off everyones radar that the volume is so low that the people that are in it are bored with it and selling it just to get into something that is moving and more exciting. =O (Oh nooooooo)
Taking advice from me is like Chinese Accounting, you will need all the luck you can muster, lol....If you like china plays stop by Progressive China Stocks board, we would love to have you check in!
China small caps have been hit hard lately. Well, I think I am going to take your advice, scrape up some "powder", buy more, shut my eyes and go long >u<
Paige,
The financials have recovered very nicely since the financial crisis, and 2010 was a much better year. The dip in price, IMO is more tied to the overall issues placing the China Small-Cap space at this time. To date, there has been no reason to assume that BEST is involved in any mis-doings, and no "hit piece" exists to my knowledge. I am a buyer, have held long-term and would be a buyer at these levels, if only I had powder, all IMO of course!
The financials seem ok and they are projected to keep doing better, why has there been such a dip in their stock price over the past few weeks? Is there something wrong with their books? Did someone do a hit piece on them that I missed? The price to book and p/e ratio make it look like a buy to me... what am I missing?

News for 'BEST' - (Shiner International Announces Fourth Quarter and Fiscal 2010 Financial Results Revenues Up 68.5% from 2009, Net Income Up to $4.2 Million)
HAIKOU, China, Mar 22, 2011 (PR Newswire Europe via COMTEX) -- Shiner
International, Inc. ("Shiner" or the "Company"), an emerging global supplier of
packaging solutions for food, tobacco, and consumer products, today announced
its financial results for the fourth quarter and fiscal year ended December 31,
2010.
Fiscal 2010 Financial Highlights
Fourth Quarter Financial Highlights
Fiscal 2010 Revenue and Earnings
Shiner's revenue for the year ended December 31, 2010 increased 68.5% to $58.2
million when compared to 2009. The year-over-year increase in revenue was
primarily due to changes in the product mix, which includes an increase in sales
of higher-margin products; and the global economic recovery, which positively
impacted the packaging industry. Sales of flexible packaging materials, which
include BOPP tobacco films, coated films and color printing products and
services, increased by 64.7% to $44.0 million, up from $26.7 million in 2009.
Sales of advanced films, which include anti-counterfeit films, increased 81.62%
to $14.2 million, up from $7.8 million in 2009.
International sales for the year ended December 31, 2010 accounted for 19.0% of
Shiner's total revenues and totaled $11 million, up from $10.4 million in 2009.
International sales were marked by an increase in flexible packaging material
sales of 27.7% year-over-year, from $4.6 million in 2009 to $5.9 million in
2010, which was offset by a 12.1% decrease in advanced film sales from $5.8
million in 2009 to $5.1 million in 2010.
Shiner's gross profit for the year ended December 31, 2010 was $9.8 million,
which represented a gross margin of 16.9% and an increase of 3.6 percentage
points from a gross margin of 13.3% for the year ended December 31, 2009. The
increase in gross margin was a direct consequence of a decrease in overhead unit
rates as a result of increased production volume, changes in the product mix,
and improved production efficiency.
Income from operations was $4.6 million for the year, compared to an operating
loss of $0.2 million in 2009. Selling, general and administrative ("SG&A")
expenses increased slightly to $5.2 million, an increase of 8.2%, or $0.4
million, from $4.8 million in 2009.
Shiner reported net income of $4.2 million for fiscal 2010, compared to a net
loss of $99,801 in the previous year. Earnings per share for the year were
$0.17, compared to earnings of $0.00 per share for 2009. The improvement was
largely attributable to higher sales volume, lower overhead rates from higher
capacity utilization, and a decrease in SG&A expenses as a percentage of sales.
As of December 31, 2010, Shiner had $8.6 million in cash and cash equivalents on
hand. On December 31, 2010, the Company had six short-term loans outstanding,
totaling $6.8 million, and working capital of $12.8 million, an increase of
$11.5 million from December 31, 2009.
Fourth Quarter Revenue and Earnings
Shiner's revenue for the three months ended December 31, 2010 increased 65.5% to
$17.8 million, up from $10.8 million from the same period in 2009. The
year-over-year increase in revenue was attributable to higher sales volume in
the Chinese market and more favorable sales prices. Sales of flexible packaging
materials increased by 61.1%, from $8.3 million in 2009 to $13.3 million in
2010. Advanced film sales increased 80.1% to $4.5 million, up from $2.5 million
in 2009.
International sales for the quarter ended December 31, 2010 accounted for 17.1%
of Shiner's total revenues and totaled $3.0 million, up from $2.8 million for
the same period in 2009. International sales were marked by a 30.0%
year-over-year increase in flexible packaging material sales, from $1.3 million
to approximately $1.7 million, which was offset by a 12.7% decrease in advanced
film sales from $1.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2009 to $1.4 million for
the corresponding period in 2010.
Shiner's gross profit for the three months ended December 31, 2010 was $2.2
million, which represented a gross margin of 12.6%, down slightly from a margin
of 14.1% for the three months ended December 31, 2009. The decrease in gross
margin resulted from an increase in raw material costs due to petroleum price
fluctuations.
Income from operations was $1.0 million for the fourth quarter, compared to
$79,766 for the same period in 2009. SG&A expenses decreased by about 11%, or
$0.16 million, to $1.3 million for the three months ended December 31, 2010,
down from $1.4 million for the comparable period in 2009.
For the fourth quarter of fiscal 2010, Shiner reported net income of $1.0
million, an increase of 540% compared to net income of $0.15 million in the same
period last year. Earnings per share for the quarter were $0.04, compared to
earnings of $0.01 per share for the fourth quarter of 2009. The improvement was
largely attributable to higher sales volume in the Chinese market and lower
overhead rates from higher capacity utilization, as well as a decrease in SG&A
expenses.
Business Highlights
Mr. Qingtao Xing, Shiner's President and CEO, stated: "We are very pleased with
the strong top- and bottom-line growth we achieved in 2010. For the fiscal year,
we exceeded our revenue guidance by approximately $5 million. Sales revenue for
flexible packaging materials was $43.5 million, and sales revenue for advanced
films totaled $14.2 million. We feel confident that in 2011 we will continue to
increase our revenues and improve margins."
Mr. Xing continued, "Our efforts to strengthen our infrastructure and
distribution network over the past 12 months have enabled us to benefit from
major market trends, including the rising consumption of packaged goods among
Chinese consumers. China's new food safety law continues to drive growth in the
country's flexible packaging market, and we are fielding an increased number of
inquiries from domestic food producers seeking to comply with the new
regulations. Internationally, demand for advanced packaging solutions is rising
in connection with the global economic recovery. We enter 2011 with strong
momentum across all areas of our business."
Operations Outlook
Mr. Xing stated, "Our primary focus for 2011 will be to expand our market share
both in China and abroad. We plan to open six new sales offices in China and
eight overseas in 2011 to attract new customers in our target markets. To meet
the anticipated demand for our products, we also plan to add a 10,000-ton
tobacco film production line in the second quarter of 2011. The new line will be
operational in the middle of 2011, enabling us to better serve large customers.
"We are also exploring potential acquisitions and joint ventures with the goal
of enhancing our product portfolio and gaining access to new markets. The $3.13
million private placement we completed in December provides us with additional
capital to fund potential acquisitions."
He continued, "By investing in the foundation of our business, we are
positioning Shiner for sustained sales growth and profitability. Our ability to
deliver customized, cost-efficient packaging solutions gives us a considerable
market advantage both domestically and internationally. We are confident of our
financial outlook for 2011."
Reclassifications and Segment Reorganization
Shiner has made certain reclassifications to its business segment information
for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2010 in order to more closely align its
financial reporting with its business structure. These reclassifications reflect
primarily revenue and expenses among business segments. None of the changes
impacts Shiner's previously reported consolidated net revenue, earnings from
operations, net earnings or net earnings per share.
Shiner has revised the presentation of its Consolidated Statements of Earnings
and Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows for the fiscal years ended December
31, 2010 and 2009 to provide improved visibility and comparability with the
current year presentation. This change does not affect previously reported
results of operations for any period presented, or previously reported subtotals
within the Consolidated Statements of Cash Flows.
The Packaging Film and Color Printing segments have been reclassified as
Flexible Packaging Materials and Advanced Films. Flexible Packaging Materials
includes the following product categories: BOPP tobacco films, coated films and
color printing products, while the Advanced Films segment includes only
anti-counterfeiting films at present.

Paige, earnings should be out March 30th according to Yahoo earnings calendar. Usually if they have any info at all regarding release dates it is fairly accurate. However, you cannot count out a filing for a late extension with any of these China small caps, but so far BEST has been very good about not filing late.
