Got some HOURS to kill on bad banking software? Here Hindenburg Research eviscerates a Swiss publicly traded software firm and its shares. .
"On Temonos banking software: Honestly, an Excel sheet would work better than Temenos, and that’s being gentle. It is horrendous."
Naturally Hindenburg is short the stock.

Wow, amen to that ! I have never had that stuff…. Evidently many millions have!
Good race later today at Fair Grounds (14th). If access, watch it as several KD points in play. I like Honor Marie.

Too late to chase but instead of picking the driver in Nascar should have been buying the stock. lol.
UNC lost to Syracuse on Tuesday. They are ranked 7th and Duke 9th. But the rankings were as of the 12th.
If the Lions ever win the SB watch the parade on TV.
Here in NC they got rid of applying for a handgun permit from the local sheriff. Brilliant!
In this insane world we live in today one becomes more and more of situational awareness.
Speaking of NC ~~~~ I'm guessing there might be a little smirking going on from POWDER BLUE fan !?!?!?
UNC looks like a real challenge come March. I liked UCONN early in season and I like them even more now.
But, don't overlook Marquette come March either. Purdue no doubt a 1-seed, but a good coach will find a way
to shut down Eady. As for IU >>>>> Pfftttttt !
In closing, such a VERY SAD NOTE to hear of the KC shootings at the celebration parade. How pathetic that
a handful of F..idiots can ruin it for millions. Fortunately, NONE of our family members attended. TG !!!
Pete, WTF is wrong with society..... it just gets worse and worse and WORSE !
Bet with your wallet and not your heart!
I had both the Chiefs and the 49ers in the SB!
BTW NC is finally allowing on line betting starting in March. Just in time for the Derby!
LOL ~~~ U da’ man !!!
Congrats!!!
Hail to the Chiefs !!!
You are not that much older than me and I do remember Joe Willie winning the SB.
I don't care for the Chiefs and Mahomes or Travis Kelce / Taylor Swift hype though I do like her music. Congrats he married a trophy wife who is the SI swimsuit rookie of the year.
How come CBS never cut to Taylor after Mahomes got intercepted or sacked for a loss?
And if you watched the game SF lost due to a missed PAT.
Kelce after the game was obnoxious and confronting his coach was bad form. Sorry kid sit the next set of downs out.
Purdy and McCaffery played with class and imo that's what counts.
Ah, that’s right…. Forgot you young pups don’t remember Len Dawson, Hank Stram and the first ever SB champs !
Couple trivia twists:
White uniforms have won 16 of last 19 SB’s ! ( Niners in white )
P. Mahomes ( as odds underdog ) 9-3. Highest rating in modern era !
Pick your poison !!!
Go 49ers! I remember the Joe Montana, Steve Young and Jerry Rice days.
Ford — Stock in the legacy automaker climbed about 7% after Ford beat Wall Street estimates in the fourth quarter and issued stronger-than-expected full-year guidance. The company also announced plans to issue a special dividend of 18 cents per share.

UPS fell short of Wall Street revenue estimates Tuesday, reporting drops in shipping volume, both internationally and domestically.
The company also announced 12,000 layoffs as part of an effort to align resources in 2024.
UPS’s 2024 outlook expects revenue to range from $92 billion to $94.5 billion,

Oops.
Somehow I picked the 2 teams to play in the SB. As much as I dislike the Chiefs and Mahomes I won't be upset if they win.
I wanted the Lions from my other bracket and I don't know what happened to them in the second half.
And after all these years the helmet catch has been supplanted by the face mask catch. Talk about sh*t luck.
Congrats ~~~~ last man standing & go CHIEFS !!!
Really disappointed in Ravens...just NEVER in the game.
Proud of our LIONS ---- Niners are a very good team and the SB should be fantastic.....if both teams bring their A-Game !
I'm on the CHIEFS....... 'point of difference' Coach Andy Reid (Oh, and two granddaughters in KC)
Good luck and don't forget to cheer for the Ravens. Bel Air is our pit stop at my wife's cousin when we travel to Cape Cod.
GOooooooooo LIONS
When the Giants won the SB against the Pats they played all their games on the road.
Both the Ukraine and Israel are quagmires. Gaza is Israel's problem and NOT ours.
We can't afford to lose the Ukraine.
The Admiral Fund keeps chugging along nicely. Not sure about the Magnificent Seven.I'm getting nervous about them.
As for Tsla it's about time it crashed and burned.
Very nervous as the Niners have a lot of weapons & home field. But, picking our Lions to somehow scrap and claw to victory! Ravens out to prove something… could be last bird crowing!
I only watched first segment as little interest in the bond market & just wanted to hear market/sector forecast. Pretty much par for the course & consistent with your thoughts. A couple of unknown impacts…. Yea or Nay…. Ongoing Ukraine and Israel conflicts & political jockeying for nearly entire year. Seem to still be bullish on the Magnificent?? Seven.
I had it on my calendar then something came up.
Here are my thoughts,
I think the rally still has legs but they are getting tired. I think I can hang on to the Admiral Fund then it gets cashed out when the 401K moves.
I don't see the Fed cutting rates until July at the earliest. We split the risk aversion at 5% but as I explained I don't think a 6-7% annual gain is unreasonable to expect.
Some people continue to think the sky is falling but every morning I look up and it's still there. hahahaha.
What was your take since you listened?
I really like Fidelity. They have a local office 25 minutes from the house and I like the support they provide.
I don't really have any skin in the games this weekend but I want to see the Ravens and the Lions in the SB.
The Lions are way ovwerdue.
Congrats !!! Well earned and deserved!
Fidelity client for eons….with exception of Jones work time. They have always treated me well. By chance did you watch the 4 hour live Fidelity 2024 Outlook presentation yesterday? Anything pop out???
Oh, Go Lions !!!!
The wife has picked a retirement date of 04/01/2024. She'll be 8 months short of full retirement of 66 plus the 8 months and there is no sense in waiting anymore.
We met with Fidelity Tuesday and did the modeling for our retirement years. Her risk aversion from 1-10 was a 4 and mine was a 7. lol. It was like Shark Tank with counter offers. I didn't have the heart to tell her the 401K has been a 10 for 2023 with a 20% gain. Santa was very good and don't tell me you can't time the market when you can see a bull run coming.
Gave up on an annuity since it didn't make any sense and we are taking the entire pension instead of leaving it with Volvo as an annuity with survivor benefits.
I'm starting my RMD a year early this year at 5%
Vanguard won't let me bring over their Admiral Fund to Fidelity and Fidelity can't buy it.
All in all I'm very pleased with Fidelity and they have done a remarkable job in the last year and come 04/01 I can quit my day job and start traveling. I'm keeping my play money account with me to manage and the Kid has his own as well. He knows how to pickem.
Congrats on the Lions. I really wanted to see the Bills win and knock KC off their horse. I have no love for Mahomes and think he is OVER RATED.
Great games over the weekend.... and, the stage is set.... I'm pumped !
Lions / Niners: my BFF from USMC (in Ca.) is a life long Niners fan ! (( big wager ))
LIONS / Chiefs 'super bowl' ~~~~ even bigger wager !!
I'm not going to mention the pick 'em pool.... my heart says LIONS.....my head says not sure between Niners/Ravens ???
Poor Buffalo....just cannot EVER get over the hump (pun intended)
Ok, GOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo LIONS !!!
Oh, and Nikki too
Check out the weather for Topsail on January 25th weekend. Yes that's right in the 70s.
Damn, enough winter…. die Die DIE !!!
Don’t overlook that Boiler crew!
I like the Big East second only to the ACC in Bball. And FYI Saban and the new coach of Alabama have the same agent. When Saban retired AL knew who they were going to hire.

Ford where Quality is Job 1.
The Dearborn-based automaker came up with the "Quality is Job 1" tagline back in 1981,

Perhaps Ford will lend the slogan to Boeing. BA
‘This Has Been Going on for Years.’ Inside Boeing’s Manufacturing Mess.
Outsourcing worried engineers and sparked battles over quality before a door plug blew out on an Alaska Airlines plane midflight

Paywall removed.
At least Boeing makes the wings.
I'm hot on your trail. So just how cold is it in the Great White North?
Go Lions !!!!!
Can congrats on your blowout win in the NFL pickems. The kid was off his game but he does know college football.
Congrats Mr. Sherman.... of the "junior" persuasion !
And, CONGRATS BLUE TEAM !!!

From my view here which is a major hub that supports most of the east coast from SC to WV and PA the ground arm is working 6 days a week running 3 shifts.
They are still reporting full year guidance. Wall Street as usual over reacts.
2024 not sounding so rosy amigo !
FedEx giving an early wake up call…..
As we age….TIME is NOT an ally
About time they played like Lions instead of kitty cats. Now look in your rear view mirror.
OMG ~~~ the field conditions of the Miami (of Ohio) game were some of the worst I’ve seen!
However, RW and the Broncos may dispute that ~~~ . LIONS rock !!!
So is TFC and F. And my VWNAX is now up over 18% YTD.

Today's large cap can quickly become tomorrow's small cap or vice versa. That said all stocks are fair game here except pinks.
What size is "small"? There are many definitions. Some people define a small public company as one with a market cap under $1 billion. Others define small cap as under $2 billion. And there are yet other definitions. Over the last two decades the word "small" has come to mean larger and larger companies! To confuse matters, NASDAQ's small cap market system continues to list truly small public companies, many of which would be classified as nano-cap by the definitions, below. Here are some current definitions from Investopedia and Investor Words.
Market Cap Investopedia Investor Words
Mega-Cap over $200 billion over $250 billion
Large-Cap $10 billion - $200 billion. $5 billion - $250 billion
Mid-Cap $2 billion - $10 billion $1 billion - $5 billion
Small-Cap $300 million - $2 billion $250 million - $1 billion
Micro-Cap $50 million - $300 million under 250 million
Nano-Cap under $50 million --
