Mr. Donald Simon reports
SNR ACQUIRES ROSEBUD PROPERTY
Senator Minerals Inc., through staking and an agreement with the former owner, has acquired a 100-per-cent interest, net of a 1-per-cent net smelter return, in the Rosebud property near Kingman, Ariz.
The Rosebud property consists of 20 unpatented lode-mining claims totalling approximately 400 acres (162 hectares) in one contiguous claim block located 29 miles north-northeast of Kingman, Ariz. The property is easily accessible from Kingman via Highway 66 and an all-weather gravel road that skirts the southwestern edge of the property.
Kingman is a regional centre, and is the closest location for exploration and mining supplies as well as personnel. A power line is located approximately two miles to the south.
The Rosebud property is considered to have the potential to host an economic gold/silver deposit and/or porphyry-style copper-molybdenum-gold mineralization for the following reasons:
Limited previous mining on the property has identified both gold and silver mineralization associated with shearing.
Historical and contemporary surface and underground sampling has indicated potentially economic gold and silver grades.
Several zones known to host gold and silver mineralization have been identified.
Underground sampling has returned significant gold and silver values, and showed that the main production shaft and underground workings on the 100-foot level are accessible and generally in good condition.
An induced polarization/resistivity survey has indicated that zones of mineralization may extend along strike beneath alluvial cover and may be present at depth.
A suite of elements commonly accompanying porphyry-style mineralization has been identified by rock sampling.
