The " Sector Plays " board is here to post and discuss information on hot sectors in the stock market. Natural disasters, wars, economic events and emerging business trends are all things that can and will effect the prices of varying stock sectors. The purpose of this board is to identify those hot or cold market sectors and find stocks within those sectors that may stand to gain or lose the most from any overall sector movement. If you have any thoughts or articles that you feel may cause one sector or the other to experience a greater growth rate than the overall market please share it here for all to read. Conversely there will be some sectors that become out of favor with investors or are hurt by certain events. These would be good to keep an eye on for possible shorting. If you would like to recommend any particular stock, or mutual fund, please state what sector it is in, and why you think it may move in one direction or the other. Blatant spamming of stock picks will deleted.
