I bought 2 pot stocks last week.

AREV trades on the CSE and NRTH that also trades on a Canadian market.

AREV bought 100k @.23

NRTH bought 20k @ .83

Both were being talked up by my investment buddies.

Both have signed contracts with governments for supply.

Will look again at UNVC tomorrow. Not overly impressed with it at this point, and may either pass on it or wait for the party to start. It is on my watch list.

Pot stocks can be great if you get in at the right time.

I got into Canopy Growth when it went public. It was around 2 bucks a share Canadian. I really think it's over valued at this time. Market cap of 20 billion and sales of 100m in 2019

Pot stocks are a fad. A few will do well, but as the product becomes legal, more people will do this.....

The CEO is a great guy who is well respected and has been working for years to bring together one hell of a lot of things at once into the company. You can find out a lot by just browsing the sticky notes.

Not advising either way. But I jumped in for a few thousand and I expect to get a big return. Already up a double.

He is speaking at a big conference starting Wednesday and he has stated several times that all will be revealed by the time the conf starts.

Seems to me there are 2 good reasons to have to personally pay taxes on that.

1) If you are personally paying, you're still alive and that's always good. After my surgery that is my default feeling about just about all situations.
2) If you're paying a lot of tax you must have made a lot of money. Another good thing.

And there is always 3) you get to brag to me about AAPL when I hate apple products. lol

I have received more each year in dividends post 2012 than that original investment.

If I had of held all of my investment from day 1, it would be worth in excess of 6 million bucks.

Almost 1200 trades and only a hair over 500k shares trades. Average trade is 250 shares or about 100 bucks.

Well, you're getting close to your "30%" and I think you'll get there this week.

I'm still miffed over the size of the trades. 2946 trades today and the average trade was less than 500 shares. Most were around 100

It's a 40-50 cent per share stock. I'd place orders in the tens of thousands of shares if I was aggressively buying.

No. I only bought 5k shares and anything less than a double is hardly worth the effort. I use to do the sell enough to recoup my investment capitol and ride free route, but this is a small amount.

I'll put a stop loss on it later in the high 30's. That's a good way to protect the funds when I'm not watching too closely.
