Of course things can change.. but in my 'sit back and watch' ways, over the last 4 years or so, I've seen him go after pumpers alot heavier than bashers. In fact I've never seen him go after a basher unless it was just a noise post with the person saying the same nonsense over and over again. And by 'go after', I mean delete a post and give them a private warning first.
Another thing.. people saying that he will only allow a pro-particular stock person to take over an orphan board. That he has to check a person's post history, etc..
Well yeah...... Obviously if a person never posted on that board, they probably won't get the head Mod spot. I think the general rules are 3 posts before they will be thought about for the board. I know because I've tried. Also, if the person has a history of being in Ihub jail, attacking posters, off topic, they probably won't become a head mod on an orphan board.. But some don't want to give the whole story over on the hang-em board.
But do things change in 4-6 years?
I think Matt may have changed. Indictments have a way of changing some folks opinion of other folks actions.
Always half the story on that hang-em high board.. Too freakin typical of some:

Just a few short posts later, he could have shown a much better post, but I guess it didn't fit into the agenda:

Crook,
Let's say such a situation did happen to exist.
Why would YOu want to hang around this thread, if you knew the condition existed? What would be your motive now that the stock has dropped, when you clearly had no problem with this when the stock was up...
Seems your opinion might change with the changing stock price, just as everybody else would....
I persoanlly don't want to go and read a thread with everybody's feelings, gripes....I want to go and read about research, fact-based opinions on the company...no complaints, personal attacks...
Anyways, now I know your opinion of the current situation...so what is your suggestion? How do we correct this problem?
Here is what I want:
1) No personal attacks
2) No Spam
3) no factless bashing or pumping
4) civil thread where people discuss, not going after one another...
So you tell me what you think should be done...and i'll figure out how we are going to implement it.
Fair?

who put a quarter in you this morning? LOL You're on a roll!
Goodmorning almost afternoon, have fun today Bee you deserve it. I took my blood pressure meds so I'm okay..LOL j/k.
graduations are a lot of fun~
on the other board, its tough to sit and read all the posts, don't get most of it anyway but wish all the best for Matt even though I'm sad about it. I was pissed....really pissed off at first but I'm not taking it personally and have calmed down somewhat. He really needs to understand how people viewed him in order to gain understanding of how everyone is reacting. Most of us like that kid, think this hub is a lot of fun and a great place dispite all the pump and dump.
As far as PAPA, I followed it for awhile but it was so obvious to me what it was, there was not a chance in hell I would have ever bought any of their stock. Plus I would need to at least see their pizza in walmart and its not in any I have been to. But hey, I eat pizza at real pizza restaurants and its hard enough to find desent pizza on the west coast, usually one must go to the city to find one. East coast pizza is different all together and the best imo.
Good morning HS#5
This is the crappola that really ticks me off from the hang-em high board. I probably read 5-10 posts, get disgusted.. miss 200-300 posts, and back to 5-10..
This post:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=38256456
The sentence that stood out:
( i PM'd good old Matty on that particular board, telling him of how they were all running the PAPA and BRZM pump, but naturally , he ignored my warning
And Matt's posts on the PAPA board:
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/MemberPostsToBoard.aspx?userid=2744&boardid=8881
People post crap and either don't know that someone's posts can be found or think we're too stupid or lazy to look?? Heckifiknow, but it's ridiculous.
Then you have two or three there who rant on and on like some crazy people on uppers or fire water..
HA!~ And for those who think he deletes or lets us Mods delete bashes and thinks they don't get restored? They're in dreamland! Only fooling themselves and others who don't know better..
Ok.. have to get ready for a friends daughter's graduation very shortly.. but grrrr.. her last name starts with a "W".. LOL Long time to sit there and wait for everyone else to walk by!
Damn...someone beat me to it!!

Very true..
The 2 rules of trading:
1. Don't be greedy
2. Be patient
z
That was a part of my lessons.. and also learned the hard way.
And again, no-one's fault but my own! Those are the best lessons though. School of hard knocks is an excellent learning tool! One will remember the lessons that hit them in the pocket :)
I'd never throw huge money at an OTC stock....It's like betting in Vegas...Throw a little, and either make it big, or lose a little.......z
losing money is a part of that process. I consider it an education
Please call me Dr. Bee from now on, because I think I've earned my PhD in pennyland.. LOL
Who do I blame?? Me and no-one else but me. I was fine with the big board stocks for many years, since I worked at a brokerage firm..... but then discovered the pennies. I was one of those penny newbies who believed the pumpers, and of course jumped in as everyone else was leaving..typical eh? LOL
It's ignorant to blame others when one should be doing their own DD on a specific stock...and it sickens me to see some putting the blame on anyone else but themselves..
goodmorning Bee.
Agreed
That's right. Lots of stocks run in this Casino...but you gotta learn how to play em.....losing money is a part of that process. I consider it an education. If you can't afford to play by those rules, or LACK of rules, then OTC stock trading isn't for you.......z
lazyeye , go to sec.gov and click on careers, i think u would enjoy being a micro cap compliance officer lol
Hoofrigginray, ditto and right on. How about this, lol? No moderators are allowed to post on the stock they moderate, PERIOD! Kick back a membership fee % as payment for your election by Ihub to moderate. Something small like 1% or 2%. Moderators are chosen after being asked based on history, little deletions etc...
"Part of the problem with this site is an inconsistency by moderators with some moderators doing whatever they want. This is a HUGE problem on Ihub and when they find unwarranted suspensions of posts the moderators involved should either be removed or they themselves made unable to post and have moderator duties for a week. Do this just ONCE with a moderator and the problem would be solved. Let them know the next time they will be booted as a moderator and if questionable actions need to be taken involve the Ihub Admin."
Great post...people must get better at the game. If one takes the time to look at a company's historical price, look at the message board flow and number of total posts and number of recent posts and who the posters are, get the real, t/a verified o/s vs. a/s amounts, one can make a lot of money in these pinks and BB's.
Is Matt guilty? Maybe. Maybe not. That's for the courts to decide. If he IS guilty, how many people here, really, would be surprised? I would only in that he has/had a successful business and I wouldn't think greed would cloud his mind. But who knows? Maybe he was being threatened by that group if he didn't comply. Maybe he is innocent and those dolts like Panetta et al just threw him under the bus for whatever reason.
No matter what, it's just another in a long line of pinky fraud, and it won't be the first bust and it certainly won't be the last. I feel for people who lost money in the transactions of those companies listed. But hey, you wanna dance you gotta pay for the music. My guess is that greed took the investors over too. Been there done that.
I do however question the sanity of those guys charged. Tsk, tsk...Greed is a terrible thing...
LMAO! Handily challenged? Too funny
I guess people don't know that yoube handily challenged. Sad people would try to make fun of that. Can I give you a hand....ha ha..
Always nice to affirm friends and stand by them with whatever hand is needed.
Sorry pal, but I was not talking about the WAMU investors in a left hand or right hand or both hand way.. In fact I'm pretty darn sure I mentioned what stock I was talking about.
SUPER that post is not nice. Talking about share prices months after the fact, high''em high board. Youse are referring to the WAMU investors in a left hand way, and making fun, gots friends there. Indian
Little weak on that thought. Would bet with his temperment and personality, he is the one covering his own ASS. Squealer all the way, he is not mentally tough at all, read his posts. The actual sums of money that MATT got is not a made up number. The 24 Hong Kong bank accounts, not made up. THere is another misconception youse put in the prior post to me. MATT was a founder of IHUB. Will say this. Matt 'may be intelligent'. and that is the rub. He definitely is not smart. After reading a few of his comments and posts to his investors in IHUB when I first joined, realized he was rather stupid. Z, this is not a good kid gone bad, make no mistake about that. He is what he always was, and everyone here will know in the near future. Only in cyberspace has he been able to survive, like many here. Indian
Now there ya go.....Corruption at the highest levels goes on unnoticed and with their blessings.......z
I think most of the allegations are from somebody's testimony trying to save their ass.......z
Matt wrote the actual code for this website. He's the founder of it....I don't see how any legal actions affect that....that's his personal business imo......z
Good point, and that fits MATT'S case to a T. He was investigated for over 2 years, and kept his job. I believe these investigations need to be iron tight, with the minimum loopholes. That is why it takes such a long drawn out process to get charges filed against anyone. Apparently the OWNER and ADNINISTRATION knew many of these facts, and gave their blessings and let him stay on. Think I have the deletion record on the other board. Indian
Don't understand what youse means. SEC and the FEDS are not sueing anybody. It is a criminal indictment. As for this site IHUB, it is the core of this indictment. So his ADMINISTRATION OF DUTIES are in question also. By the way, what exactly are his duties??? Unless youse has read legal papers no one else has seen. Thanks in advance, Indian
LOL so true.. then they silently pocket the money and run with it.. or brag how smart they are!
But they have no problem jumping on some runner and making out.....no bitching happens in that case, no matter how big a POS the stock is.....lol.......z
If you're gonna play, be man enough to take losses without bitching, and blaming whomever....
Amen to that. I've seen some posts on that hang-em high board where they're blaming Matt, etc for their losses in Xtreme, etc. Then I go to their posts for that particular stock and see they started buying and posting 6, 9, or more months AFTER the fact and saying they're buying and at what price. So.. they buy after that other alleged incident and think they can pass their stupidity off on someone else? Pathetic in my opinion..
Didn't say he pumped it.
"Starting on December 4, and continuing through December 13, 2006,
Dynkowski and others, such as Brown, engaged in manipulative trading ofGH3 stock,
including using wash sales and matched orders to inflate its price."
Yep, i am thinking that he has a lot of faith in matt and the team (ever notice how mat is always flying out there?).
Good for him!.......et z
Playing OTC/Pink stocks is risky business. If you can't handle it, you shouldn't be doing it. You should invest in blue chip stocks, like GM, Fanny Mae.....maybe you'll do better with well respected companies......on the other hand maybe not.
Stocks are a gamble. If you're gonna play, be man enough to take losses without bitching, and blaming whomever....
Bottom line is stocks that get pumped run. It's your own fault if you don't get out in time, or buy at the top.
Playing this game is fueled by greed. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose.
The answer is getting better at the game......z
Market Integrity - LMAO - Sure
They are the ones along with some market makers who shorted the stock who went to the NASD and begged them to solicit the SEC to have the Net Capital rule suspension as well as the suspension.
It was repulsive the BS from regulators. They even included a part where they said that the Net Capital rule suspension might be revisited in the future if needed to protect investors. Cover my ass in technicolor!
So lets see......
The CEO begs the regulators to suspend his stock
The CEO advises investors...
DO NOT TRADE THIS STOCK UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE (While I get with regulators and get the short position covered)
Brokers who have "insider friends" who are short such a percentage of the stock that it would bankrupt the broker once the "insider friend" goes bankrupt BEG the NASD to "help"
The CEO praises the SEC so much for helping that they ask him to update his PR and remove the part where he is bending over backwards thanking the SEC. Really- go check the PR history.
Market Makers with a huge short position also beg the NASD for help.
After the whole event is over the NASD actually requests additional powers due to a peculiar stock and a 3,000,000 to 1 FS that "had problems" - they could not even identify the symbol (they did not want to) but clearly it was GVRP.
The stock almost never traded again after the suspension due to manipulation - Oh we dont have a 211 or whatever...
The companies solution was highly illegal:
a) a post dated increase in the maximum authorized share structure. The state of Florida goes by the physical filing date not the date on the document LMAO
b) Conduct a special 3M to 1 FS - an extra one - just for the insiders who mistakenly sold their forward split shares early - this special FS never appeared on any legal website- NASD/OTCBB
c) Change the 10 shares that were restricted common shares into a new type of super common invincible stock oh and issue ourselves an extra 30M shares we never paid taxes on. These shares will be exempt for reverse splits - we voted - our 10 shares rule. A shareholder vote was taken - again - no info was ever sent out.
d) Conduct an unauthorized 3M to 1 RS which never appeared on any legal website- NASD/OTCBB
Basically the company did whatever they wanted whether legal or not and the regulators allowed them too. Given many brokers would have went bankrupt and some market makers as well if the rules were followed the need existed to revoke the rules. With the NET CAPITAL rule revoked brokers no longer had to keep short positions on their books. Those who were short had their short positions eliminated. With the illegal unauthorized RS the issue with the illegal issuance of shares above the maximum authorized was resolved.
Regulators did not care whether a FAIR JUST LEGAL outcome resulted.
The big boys were protected and the small investor blatantly cheated.
How would such behavior stand up to an FBI investigation?
In Japan when something similar to this occurred (but about 1/1000th the size of the problem) an American broker made like $32M and a Japan broker had to cancel their Christmas party to save money!
Japan's market has Market Integrity.
The USA market is highly corrupted.
Simply have to observe whether the rules were enforced when coming to that conclusion- was what resulted fair - yes or no?
In fact, in the Japan case they tried to kill the trade THREE times to no avail. The selling mistake was forced to continue. In the US the exact opposite occurred.
courage? link please.
at least not under his ihubmatt admin alias. but according to the indictments his buds sure did.
you gotta be kidding, right?
ah, the infamous Lorraine @ interwest (i believe mr.bishop and the golden louge bring it up often )
don't know much about that, but from what i've read ,that a serious gov't f.. up.( i guess if the screw up is huge then its too big to cover (a.k.a too big to fail?_)
what did the brokers have to say about this?
i
Morality? LMAO - There has been NO MARKET INTEGRITY in US markets since the SEC aided GVRP insider friends in selling ONE share of stock 138,000 times and helped all but the main insider involved keep all of the money.
Who were these insiders? Did they have connections?
RULE OF LAW - LMAO
The SEC actually violated the rule of law by suspending the NET CAPITAL RULE for GVRP so "insider friends" of the one insider they slapped on the wrist NEVER had to cover a short position of 404,000,000,000 shares for a stock with an OS of 33,000,000 and float of 3,000,000.
The stock had an OS of 11, float of 1 and a pending forward split of 3,000,000 to 1. A maximum Auth of 100M.
The only questions here is WHY did regulators BLATANTLY break the rules to ensure short covering NEVER occurred?
Also, why did they not act to prevent an illegal never authorized reverse split to get the OS back under the maximum authorized amount? Why did they SELECTIVELY not enforce the rules?
Also, How do you trade in a market with no integrity because regulators enforce the rules inconsistently - and why do they do so?
Maybe MORE investigations of the SEC by the FBI are called for!
i see "scion" has replaced "mr. bishop" on the mother board, probably more trouble than its worth being a mod over there
i guess we will see on both counts (SEC and ADVFN ) whether self interests circumvent appropriateness ,morality and the rule of law .
In terms of FREE SPEECH on IHUB.........................
It appears FREE speech is not allowed on that other board you were talking about as well Z....
I cannot even post a price prediction on the DKAM board.
Part of the problem with this site is an inconsistency by moderators with some moderators doing whatever they want. This is a HUGE problem on Ihub and when they find unwarranted suspensions of posts the moderators involved should either be removed or they themselves made unable to post and have moderator duties for a week. Do this just ONCE with a moderator and the problem would be solved. Let them know the next time they will be booted as a moderator and if questionable actions need to be taken involve the Ihub Admin.
I swear I replied to a price prediction post where everyone was predicting their "future price".
Most had an increase of like 800% for somewhere from .87 to 1.27
I suggested about a 50% drop in price to .0666
My price prediction was deleted.
My ability to participate in the price prediction game was not allowed.
TWO of the THREE posts (maybe all 3 by now) that I am allowed to post on the board per day have been deleted. I was limited to 3 posts a day because I post too many negative opinions - we only want positive viewpoints! HOW SAD!!!
On that board LONG posts are NEVER deleted but heaven forebid you ever post a negative post - it is gone almost before you post it!
Exactly. They also lose total respectability. With the Bernie Madoff scandal and all this other stuff watch for this FBI investigation to get buried. They dont want any more black eyes.
Unfortunately that is a total mistake - the very best thing they could do is to act swiftly and bring the maximum charges possible against their own.
Then they begin to show they are about market integrity and not market complicity!
all the more reason to act more swiftly and with greater actions - if something has progressed to a stage where 2 SEC lawyers are under investigation by the FBI and the WSJ is alleging all these questionable (at best) trades that went on for significant gains then I think the "air of superiority when it comes to ethics" balloon has been burst!
Given the new total lack of credibility an immediate suspension while things are worked out is completely reasonable and is the justice that would be meated out for the common guy.
In fact, many of us would lose our job. Many of us would have already been charged given all that was flying.
When these double standards exist regulators lose credibility.
When they protect insider friends and allow them to sell ONE share 100,000 times and keep their gains by eliminating their short position by suspending the Net Capital rule (as an aid to the insider friends, MMs who shorted the stock, and Brokers liable for clients and short) then market manipulation is occurring by the very regulators charged with preventing it!
if the SEC cannot keep their own house in order how can we ever expect them to protect us. It's a catch 22 for the small unconnected investor. We are screwed!
It may simply be because they are lawyers. We all know lawyers have an air of superiority when it comes to ethics. When lawyers and judges appear to have conflicts of interests in our eyes they simply state they are trained and immune to such conflicts.
Very good, but now here is a question for you:
Since the SEC has not and probably will never ever bring charges against their own (unless pushed into the corner by the FBI or the judicial system itself) then why should ADVFN request anything of Matt?
The very organization doing the investigating has shown that when their own come under fire in the WSJ and by the FBI that no suspensions are forthcoming while the investigation proceeds. They are presumed innocent. If it was the SEC instead of the FBI charges would have already been flying!
Why should they not be setting the accepted standard?
After all, they are the enforcement agency and should reserve the MOST SEVERE for their own.
Here you can freely discuss the situation without having your posts deleted.
And we're pretty loose on what is on topic, or off topic.
Any posts that are deleted, have been deleted by IHub Admin, not me...........z
