Facts only are to be believed, anything else is just speculation. From what I understand MAS didn't suspended the operations, Sam suspended operations.
EDIT: According to the statement, MAS will further review and take necessary actions if its inspection uncovers lapses or Samtrade FX had breached regulations. Of the group companies, no entity is regulated in Singapore as a capital markets services licensee.

In July 2021, MAS added Samtrade FX to it caution list and issued a direction to prohibit the company from onboarding new investors.

The site would not have been shut down otherwise, it's fully legal to run offshore brokers. The largest companies such as icmarkets, axi, pepperstone all so the same thing, they are not arrested.

It's clear as day SamTrade website not registered, licensed and regulated under the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Sam hired a top notch law firm.. Perhaps MAS may have over stepped... imo

strange that management and staff dont jump in and buy when their whole company is valued at USD500.000, after all they claim to have 300 staff working for them, they should sit on knowledge and buy if there was any chance of a bargain?
