FYI- a fellow poster ( Chas'n the bull ) over on the old RAGINGBULL message board for GBVS seems to have a gut feeling that GBVS just might be near to a buy-out or perhaps merger.
He's claiming that Knight has been accumulating shares all week and that everyone should watch for news in the next two weeks. ( it would be 10 days now ).
Always the doubting-Thomas my eye gets oranger with his every post.
May just be a " pumpers " false alert. If not maybe things could get interesting for many or even to many ?
Let's watch and see.
Not much if your talking RUNU/RUDN at this point but don't give up hope. The Chad Smanjak indictment concerning the false FAIRPLAY INTERNATIONAL announcement connects to the above. Who knows what a investigation could reveal ?
I'd do a spot check here once a month or so. I'll update best I can or 'till I get sick and tired of dealing with this mess.
Hi, I lost over 2000K with rudy back in 2007, I believe. is there anything I missed? recently?
Everyone should check out HSPO's chart ( that other little co. with the Tulsa connections ). Could it be a second " tainted birth " ??? not saying it is, but will say it was predicted.
Hope it comes back for its investors. Some really " interesting " movement there the last month.
You and a s--t load more.
Never know what's going to happen though ?
I'd suggest a monthly scan just in case.
lost 1400 bucks on this pos rudn lol back when it was runu i think... unreal this scam pos.. check back end of summer lol
Actually I should have said almost as happy.
But I'm not naming names :o) :o) :o) :o).
Bac: how many shares of GVBS do you own or had bought ?
We may need to communicate by E- for your benefit should you so choose.
Glad to see you still monitor. Everybody should do a " Lurk " at minimum once a month case anything developes.
Fantastic that UBL got his " due ".
Now the only thing that will make me happier is if they get ????.
Just saw this today.
Whats new?
OOPS, forgot to say please :o) seriously I think it would be to your benefit. Maybe not by much but maybe a little.
MATT: need you to send me an E-.
Back in the land of cold and a reliable pc.
Sadly NO. Some interest was generated two years ago with past investors trying to coordinate and effort with even approaching the original bottler. Didn't pan out. I had a go to guy who said to come up with $ 5 mil. and he'd make the connections but not to expect even the same potential.
The timing and team ( sans a few ) were perfect then but couldn't be repeated now. The clean " movers " in the background THEN are now gone.
Was informed that Vegas had a possible end-buyer before the final demise but the big established company looking at them backed out when they looked under the rug. It would have been purchased for a fraction of its earlier potential.
I'm sure your efforts were impressive. Wouldn't expect anything less. Lot'sa efforts made back then that could have collectively taken this project to desired heights and beyond.
Little info. I've been sitting on for a long time now. Wasn't privy to it at the time but had strong suspicions that were later confirmed to be true by many. It was I/I then and only known to a select few but many of the signs were there as things progressed. Kind'a smelled something but couldn't nail it down at the time. " A story stock, one to tell your grand-children about " very close my friend. Know why ? 'cus the plan was to merge Arcadia and it's established lines into RBI. Yep! one big mo'fo operation with some nice connections. That was the reason for the $ 2 mil expansion and the big-ass sign. ARCADIA FARMS - HOME OF RUDY BEVERAGE. Nice 'eh. Just get rid of the aholes Vegas. Just leave them behind and let the industry guys run the show. Do a few public pitches now and then PERIOD and you've got a third. NOPE !!!!
" We shifted our bottling operations from the former " MILK BOTTLER PLANT " to a modern facility more centrally located in Chicago ". Almost choked on my Cheerios when I read that one.
Turns out Chicago got burned too. The Overland boys gave me that one. (good guys).
Few people might be pissed I mentioned the above but fck'm. I owe nobody anything along those lines.
I hit the right 6 numbers and I'll give the beverage a run if I can get the right people in place. Timing is way off but what the hell. You'll be one of the first to know.
Give me a few days Matt. This borrowed lapper sucks. Keeps screwing up. Just about had " War and Peace " matched for volume in composing a reply and got wiped out. Think you'll find it interesting though.
So the obvious questions are open for comment
But more then anything, Is there any hope of a good idea, product wise, maybe under another name and obviously marketed by different spokesman, ever seeing the light of day?
Sell off the IP or the formula to some entity willing to tackle the undertaking.
Did I ever tell ya I sent them a proposal for going after AAU athletics via the Commonwealth Games here is Virginia, held in the town I live in... I even had some inroads into police and fire. Those guys train and need hydration.. not sugar.
I should send you the material I sent them... impressive even if I say so myself.
Colorado Class as you said once...
Had a little bite to eat with Carver today in Glendale AZ. Brought back lot's of memories. Going to make next weeks sentencing even more enjoyable. Then comes Reskin and then guess we'll just have to wait and see after that.
James Reskin esq. presentence rescheduled to April. Kind of like rescheduled hearings of this nature.
Could be indicative of a number of things ?
' Least your keeping the Alzheimers at bay.
Wish I was .
But there are some things I'll never forget !
Bev Network of Maryland
Oh Ya... I remember...
3 Trucks and a clipboard.. Oh ya It all comes rushing back...
Damnit. I did such a good job on the memeory dump regarding all this, and now its back.
Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention. I did get a notice from Ameritrade the other day but didn't open it 'till now. As memory serves the only thing I ever received with ANY connection was a pump mailing (not E-mail) on PPBV. Checked it on a whim and noticed it was Farnsworths ( remember ? Bev. network of Maryland boss, Perrings cohort before he became pres. of GBVS ). Made some inquires even though I wasn't going to invest. Scb and others gave me an earful. Not sure if Sheptycki/Lankford were involved with the boys on that one but it smelled to me anyways. Don't know about any Ameritrade connection to this either.
Both are still on the run since the Bahamian judge kicked Dean free on a time tech. so if they were involved might be a looong time for payback if they were connected to the Ameritrade deal.
I hear of anything that relates to your initial inquiry I'll post it.
Have a good weekend !
Thanks Capt
Ameritrade has a class action suit against it that they are trying to settle. One of the pieces of that case involves identity theft and email address that were stolen, and used to promote Penny Stocks. I was just wondering if this was ever pumped via email... and if so related to anyone associated with GBVS - RUDN et al and the Ameritrade settlement
In a nut shell... Anyone who heard about this via an email from promoters may have inadvertantly been victim of this data breach from Ameritrade, the suite outlines existing customes and those who provided Ameritrade with their email and contact info as a result of being a prospective client, i.e. Requesting account info or setting up an account that never was funded.
Just FYI for anyone who might have been effected.
Not that I'm aware of Matt. Actually I first learned of it when a poster on another company stock board ( believe it was SMD in '06 ) mentioned to all that they should check out GBVS and a few other comments.
If you'd like I could do some digging but I think ??? in my past checking that Lankfords group did the initial standard pumping BEFORE the fax blast stuff started Wouldn't doubt that fat John was involved too. I do emphasis think ?
Question regarding the history...
Hey Capt was this pumped via faxblast only? Is that how you found out about this in the beginning?
Just an FYI - Reskin has his pre sentencing hearing next week and Lindberg gets the gavel on February 28th. This looks like it could easily go into next year before things start wrapping up.
Thank you again for the update. Hope they're able to pinch ALL of those who made out with some cash from the Smanjak caper.
Think a few picked up a little cash to stash away while they were readying themselves for a unwanted vacation from work.
Another dozen indictments or so and I think the Govt. should have the whole mess covered. That is if they're so inclined.
Damn, wish I could add a plane ticket to my Christmas Wish List. What a gift it would make to be able to attend the speech with some select board bro's here. Could have a little fun with some audience Q & A at the end of his speech.
Just thought of a few Christmas presents I'd love to give him.
Hope he gets paid well for his appearance. Hope he has to make a few other appearances here and there in the near future.
NEVER QUIT ! G-damn right.........................
Rudy Ruettiger to give speech at North Las Vegas Library
By Paul Takahashi (contact)
Monday, Dec. 13, 2010 | 2:35 p.m.
Chants of “Rudy! Rudy! Rudy!” might just break out on Wednesday as motivational speaker Rudy Ruettiger visits North Las Vegas.
Ruettiger, the scrawny football player who inspired the 1993 sports film classic “Rudy,” will visit the North Las Vegas Library, 2300 Civic Center Drive, on at 5 p.m. Dec. 15. The event is free and open to the general public.
In addition to meeting Ruettiger, interested residents can watch a screening of “Rudy” on at 6 p.m. Tuesday as a prelude to the visit by the former Notre Dame footballer.
My pleasure Jami. Have a little list established of known investors losses that included what I got from you and Bob. All told at this point somewhere in the neighborhood of 1/2 mil. when you include the GBVS side which as most know I do. IMHO, Change the name of the same game so to speak.
Again: Best to you, yours and Bobs and his this holiday season and let's see what '11 brings as a gift from the government concerning the matter at hand. Maybe in could be delivered by a sleigh being pulled by 11 reindeer. <:o)>
Hi guys, Jami here I see that Joe mentioned Overland Distribution in post 4277. Just wanted to say that just in stocks purchased I lost a total of 15,600 dollars in this whole F up. and another 2,000 of so getting overland registered in fla. and equipment and web fees. It kills me the way this ended because I could see how I thought it was going to go. and it was starting to pick up steam. Even in web sales, and then the stock stopped trading and the sales went to Shi_. I still to this day wounder if Pete in NJ. has a garage full of drink. Any way my wife still brings up the amount of money I spent and lost every now and then and I have not purchased a stock since. very bad taste left behind. I buy silver bars now.
Joe thanks for the E-Mail today, and I am glad that someone is paying the price for screwing all of us. I am still at the same number 305-613-3042 if any one wants to talk about the good old days. Jami Jenkins
Wonder if " J " and maybe even his 'bro may go down on this one ?
" No longer " think I can guess why.
Hell, this could top 20 if they wanted.
Not to much interest here which I understand but if anyone wants to have some fun they should take a real good look at SIGNATURE STOCK TRANSFER which was the transfer agent for Rudn. If interested google them and see what you can find concerning their last announcement on their company policy.
Guess a bunch thought they had ALL their basis covered ? Soup to nuts so to speak.
Panama ? Fairplay ? and a slew more.
Everywhere you look, filth !
Looks like ten down thus far.
Think it could easily go to 20 IF the govt. wanted it to.
Now Clark filed an appeal, figures.
I'd give a fancy dinner to find out who CD 1, 2 & 3 are in the Smanjak indictment. Also wonder if it will run into the double-digits when all is said and done ?
Lol : 'Ya probably right. I would suspect he was salting some of his gains away SOMEWHERE thinking his day would come to answer. He had nearly four years of a heads-up on it so maybe there is a few piasters in reserve.
Actually I think he got off with a fair sentence. Would think the Govt. has more dirt in the background to go after him for if he wants to play hardball.
I'm sure he is getting the best defense shareholder money can buy!
No surprise really but just received information that
George David Gordon filed an appeal on his latest convictions. No doubt it will take years. Wonder if he'll represent himself ?
Phoenix - Sorry, almost forgot.
If you want somebody who posted on this board that " Rudy did nothing wrong " then review the posts of my old friend LOUCHIP.
He likes to show up from time to time, take shots at me and then put the blame on the investors while pretty much exonerating company people. Hell he was just here last month after a long pause in posting. Not sure he'll be back though after the recent announcements.
Uhhhhhh ! Phoenix - suggest you go back and read the posts again. Can't quite figure out where you came up with that opinion of what you apparently believe was suggested in the recent posts. ( IE - " nothing wrong " ).
Don't see anything exculpatory myself. Don't see anyone making direct personal accusations towards any one particular person either. No need to address the legitimacy of the " announcement ", the govt. did that quite nicely for us who you could politely say where doubters.
Think we reached a junction here where we who are actually injured investors and accurately portray ourselves as such can just sit back now and watch our enforcement people do their thing and expose the criminal wrong doing of those who deserve to be exposed.
But just a 'lil fyi, only seeing that it was a post to me. Notice how I like to keep doors open ? Should be obvious, so should why.
So RUDY did nothing wrongs? is that what Im reading? he just gave a guy 600 million shares of his company and let him run the show?
Just got a E- from Tulsa stating that Gordon was sentenced to 10 years and Clark 12 ???
This is not the same information I received earlier from another source.
Don't know where the confusion lies but either way anything over a decade is sweet ( and just ).
I'll update if there is a clarification.
Oh those are two GREAT questions upon which I'd love to respond in a IMHO fashion. However discretion prompts me to stay mute.
I'd love to hear their explanation too. Me and a s--t load of others I suspect. Kind'a suspect MAYBE we will eventually IMHO.
Linked ??? - LMAO (not at you), I suspect you can only speculate at this point.
Will quote from a respected old time board buddy of mine.
" Then maybe disclosure is optional as well " .
doesn't address the matter at hand specifically but comically it appears to encompass much of the show.
Oh hell ! maybe they thought they would be bought out and didn't think they would have to address that annoying paperwork.
or ?
or ?
etc.
Sorry captjoe, I did that last post before seeing you had replied to my last one. Will read it now.
Cheers again Cel
Hi captjoe again. Just a quick one.
Even though it looks like there was a pump and dump scheme for RUNU/RUDN it still doesn't get away from the fact that RUDN did not file all the docs it needed to carry on trading. So I would still like to hear an explanation from the people involved in RUDN as to why this was not done.
Are the two things linked in anyway? The pump and dump and the company not doing what it should do paperwork wise?
I am a novice when it comes to trading etc, so just asking out of curiousity.
Cheers again Cel
First: your more than welcome. On the " fund for victims " matter to the best of my knowledge the SEC acts in conjunction with the U.S.AGO REP. who keeps tabs on what the sentencing judge allocates for a victims reimbursement fund. I BELIEVE the SEC can also when settling a complaint civilly (they don't do criminal per se) can seek a specified amount of gains of which a portion MAY be specified for a victims fund.
Far as Long Beach, remember, so far there have only been indictments and a few residual pinches THUS FAR ! 'Till you have convictions either by judge, jury or plea your pretty much S.O.L. because a fund is yet to be established 'cuz no judgement has been made. Besides that you directly lost money with RUNU/RUDN, would say some corporate people would have to be joined, tagged and bagged along with " skippy " and friends in a conspiracy type action that puts them all before the judge and judgement. Does A connect to B ?. Better yet how can A NOT connect to B ?. I'll sit back and watch the show.
Then there's seizable assets to consider. Just for example Def. # 1 spent a good portion of his or her ill gotten gains building a escape tunnel. Then he or she failed to pay all of the bills to the builder and others connected to it being built.
Then the stiffed parties all filed judgements against the tunnel owner. How much is the tunnel worth to the Govt. once those liens are satisfied. Is it worth it ? Just one example.
Try googling your question and I believe there's some sites that may answer your questions far better than I can.
BOL
Hi captjoe, thanks for replying and so quickly.
On the SEC etc, I didn't mean they were liable I just wondered if under US Finance/ Trading laws etc if the courts seek money from the guilty party, does any of this get issued to the affected shareholders via a fund of some type; or if there was some legal investor protection etc for such cases.
I was referring to the guy from Long Beach who has been charged with running the pump and dump scheme that involved RUNU. I know it is a small amount compared to other cases but just wondered if any fund etc existed that could be used to compensate investors that were affected if the charges hold up against him.
I filed a complaint on RUNU to the SEC back in March 2009 after the reverse split on the 10th March 2009, as there was no information about this available to shareholders at all and it was ni on impossible to get any information out of RUNU on the matter. The website at the time as you will know, http://www.rudybeverageinc.com/, was given as 'being under development' and there was no contact information available publically to shareholders.
I will continue to check IH every now and then. Thanks very much again for the updates you give captjoe. This has certainly been a lesson for an investor such as myself, and the information coming out about pump and dumps etc is very useful and is taken on board.
I think when you fall foul of such schemes then you really learn the lesson, which you might not by just reading about it.
Thanks again
Cheers Cel
Cel: The problem as I see it for the Runu/Rudn investors AT THIS POINT is that at present you only have an indictment of a few individuals who are not as of yet " officially joined " to the company itself as far as public knowledge goes. Who knows what tomorrow brings however. Your going to just have to wait and see what fruit gets shaken from the tree and go from there. Should there come a time where company people were PROVEN to have conspired or furthered the criminal act and get convicted for same then you have to wait to see what comes with any sentencing provisions, restitution to a victims fund etc. It will basically be no different than what is going on at present with the conclusion of the Tulsa Cartel Crew.
Not sure exactly what you mean when you refer to the SEC being aware and having some sort of liability ??? The SEC became aware when people brought it to their attention. The reporter most likely didn't have proof positive but just mere suspicion I would say. That means the SEC had to add another investigation to the pile and address it ( investigate it ) as they could. They got an indictment in less than two years. Takes a long time to investigate when that involves identifying and locating targets who avoid you, lawyers who won't let you speak to their clients without them. Establishing paper trails, meetings with prosecutors, grand jury proceedings etc. etc. etc. Two years ? THAT WAS QUICK from my experience I give them a job well done just for that. And remember this was not just a domestic investigation, that alone compounds things 10 fold.
My advice at this point is to just monitor this board from time to time 'less you see something on the news concerning the arrest of a certin person or group somehow attached to the matter at hand.
Either way your in for a longggggggg wait should anything ever come your way due to a court ordered restitution fund.
Hi Captjoe
Been a long time since I posted but do check this board every now and then just in case any update with RUDN etc.
With the current cases on manipulation etc is there any way people who bought RUDN can claim for some form of compensation at all? Especially as it looks like the SEC/ other may have possibly been aware of false advertising and other in 2008 when I bought the stock.
I only lost a few thousand dollars but well it all adds up and let's face it I can't do anything with the stock that still sits in my brokerage accounts, so $20.00 compensation would be better than what I have.
Cheers Cel
BAC: IMHO I don't know how they can't. I don't see any way out for the boys. I believe they pretty much painted themselves into a corner and just like the Tulsa boys I think enough will roll over to lessen their own fall and give up the works.
If you step back and look at a historical profile you just have to shake your head. Educated people executed these maneuvers which just amazes me. Sure, I'm pretty sure there was some improvisation along the way but still for Jezuz sake the unbelievable arrogance for them to think they could get away with it. You could connect the dots in the dark. Last weeks news was the key to the safe I believe. Spin it anyway you want and your DNA is still all over it.
Know what Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Jose Feliciano all have in common ? ( besides the obvious ). Even they could see this coming from a mile away.
The whole affair makes me sick ! Plenty of $ to go around for everybody involved and a great beverage destroyed. Some people ask why and my most common answer is " the same reason my male dog licks his privates " " why ? cuz' he can and they could ".
And that is my unofficial opinion. And that I regret.
I just hope they nail the star for something, no way he didn't know what was going on with the company that had his name.
ACT 1 is now pretty much complete. Few more to be sentenced and the curtain comes down in Tulsa Town.
Just may be the Smanjak indictment is the prelude to act 2. A whole lot of the stage and its scenery just got exposed before the curtain was fully open. The stage lighting is still a tad too low to identify with certainty who the lead actors are at this point but with the gradual illumination of their silhouettes
all in the audiance should be able to identify them soon.
Kind'a sucks when you buy a very expensive ticket to a show that you never wanted to attend.
