Mr. Moneysauce, What do you think here? Not making too much sense. Could it be the purchase of Syntroleum? That is old news lest we simply have slow readers. Just profit taking on the back of no buyers...you still drinking the Koolaid? 1 day wiped out my gains...FML
I think we'll see $15 within a couple months.
Good luck to you and have a good weekend. :)
Added...I have some time for a quality company. These guys are tight and the are the king of this space. Where's the treehuggers when you need them? I hope say I appreciate it although I never read post, seemed like you read my mind...have a nice weekend!
Def sell on the news...but somebody else's news GGG.
The selling makes zero sense. Buy the fear. JMO
Took the sell at close off (not that I ever listen to anybody on IHUB) it's just my patience has worn thin with losing any money. I will buy some more...I'll keep my powder dry over the weekend. I don't know why it's selling off??? CLNE sympathy? Your thoughts?
Don't sell it. It's screaming buy right now. It's just under the radar is all. Just my STRONG opinion.
styl, Hey I just drifted by...I've held REGI for a couple of weeks and figured it was gonna be a great Quarter and it was. I figured REGI would give great guidance and I haven't seen anything to the contrary; it did like you and I would have thought it would rip at the open, I thought it would recover but WTF. WTF...no buyers, shorts hit us on excellent news and forgot the CLNE is a different company? WTF WTF WTF. REGI is the big dog I don't get it... I hope you sold yours I was out tending cattle and blinked; GEEZ. Do you know why this is off hard after a rip?
where is everybody???
this going to be a rocket today....10% minimum gain guaranteed!!!
12.07 REGI could be beginning a steady climb.
11.24, acquisition of SYNM planned...
FutureFuel Is A Rare Biofuels And Bioproducts Cash Cow
FutureFuel Corp. (FF) is an independent producer of biodiesel and specialty chemicals. The company has benefited recently from strong biodiesel margins specifically and an improved biofuel operating environment more generally, and its share price has increased by 65% over the last twelve months (see figure). It handily beat both earnings and revenue estimates in Q1 and Q2 of 2013. This recent performance has followed several years of growth, and FutureFuel is one of the few biofuel producers to have gone public since 2008 that is currently trading above its IPO price (the other notable example being Renewable Energy Group (REGI)).

Cheap Corn Oil...How much Longer?
Making biodiesel is simple. My question to you is what happens if the flow of cheap corn oil stops flowing to REGI? Corn oil is allowing them to make it profitably and without it, they're losing money.
I say this because the inventor of corn oil extraction, GERS, has long been pushing the ethanol producers to add on GERS' patented biodiesel production systems inside of the ethanol plants where the corn oil is extracted.
GERS said ethanol producers are starting to move on this technology upgrade. Method for continuous production of biodiesel fuel, 7,935,840
Talk of co-locating biodiesel processing units onsite of ethanol plants has been around since these oil extraction technologies emerged, but the model of selling the oil to offsite users through marketers has predominated the scene. Now Winsness says he thinks a number of ethanol companies will finally come around to processing their corn oil into biodiesel onsite.
One big reason is because, as he said, “There’s plenty of opportunity to sell 100 percent of the biodiesel locally,” unlike ethanol, which is sold, transported, blended and anonymously integrated into on-road transportation fuel supplies. With biodiesel, the combined on- and off-road local demand would soak up locally available biodiesel with ease. He said Greenshift has a pending patent application for a blender pump so ethanol producers with biodiesel manufacturing onsite could maximize sales of biodiesel locally, and with the high price of biomass-based diesel RINs and the $1 per gallon federal blenders tax credit in play, they can pass the higher blend savings to the customer locally. “The first movers have the advantage here,” he said.
Thanks TR - Really a lead from my brother in Philadelphia. His grandson was recently hired as one of the two lawyers for REGI. Although very guarded, due to the extreme caution of not leaking insider information, my impression is that this is not only a good short term investment--but also extremely good for long term investing. No other comments. Waitedg
Congrats Waitedg....you're looking real good on this one!
I understand that the big jump in this stock the last couple of days--up to 6.82--is due mainly to a favorable tax credit ruling that is bringing millions of dollars to REGI's bottom line retroactively for 2012 as well as favorably for 2013. There may be more climb to go on the stock price.
I think we are going to have a good 2013 in this stock--especially the second half of the year. Waitedg
Waitedg - I suspect this is year end selling and the pps will move up sharply in a couple of weeks. Something close to $5.25 perhaps for an entry point. The short interest is likely driving it down right now and it's pretty thinly traded, which makes it susceptible to manipulation.
Odd to see a .41 large gap price drop on moderate volume.Guess the observation that the stock was quite "pricey" was accurate. What isn't clear to me is how it could drop this much on just about 100,000 volume. Waitedg
Waitedg.....the game plan and the early numbers show some promise. Does seem to be a bit pricey, though. Would need to do more dd, clearly.
Waitedg - I am still doing my due diligence on this one. It does look promising.
Net-Man -Rather than retracing its steps, I see it more like consolidating its recent strong run up in the 6.15 to 6.25 area. It got a couple of very strong buy recommendations from Motley Fool in November that caused it to get a bit oversold. I see it after the next quarterly report in early February, as continuing its move up to perhaps the $7 to $8 level, and in not too long a period of time getting back to it original $10 level.
Like our other investment interest I see this as a long term very exciting investment. Waitedg
Waitedg - It looks as though REGI will retrace its steps a bit. I will be watching to see where it lands over the next week or so. The pps also seems to be tracking the price of WTI and I'll keep an eye on that too.
Net-Man - Motley Fool has done a lot of researach on this stock. A check there will give you a lot of backgound information. Tehnically the stock chart is very strong. Waitedg
Waitedg - Still looking into this one. The S1 is interesting, but it would help to get a quarterly report to go along with it. I may buy a small amount next week and keep track for a bit. Good luck to us.
Net-Man
Made my first purchase at 6.27. A bit high, but this stock has tremendous potential long term--and should be moving up after we get beyond the next quarterly report. Waitedg
