Easy double here, Clay-Buddy! My chart shows a bull that just started to mountain climb. I knew the .80 range was like a duck on a pond... Going out to buy some Flying Cauldron Butterscotch today (if I can find it).

Congrats! Never a bad idea to take some off the table. I’m still holding here as I agree that I think this still has room to run. If they survived if not grew in that terrible quarter I’d say that is a pretty bullish sign.
Target met....sold some more here! Looks like it could go higher so I’m still keeping some.

Price History for REED
REED: Trending Above Estimates; Product Momentum Accelerating; Reiterate Buy
IRI data infers REED’s core gross sales run-rate is trending ~$2mm ahead of our 2Q20 estimates. According to IRI, Reed’s/Virgil’s is +53.9%/+34.7% for the four-weeks ended May 17, 2020. Results show acceleration from an IRI result of +32.4%/+24.7% for the four-weeks ended April 19, 2020 and acceleration from YTD results of +22.0%/+22.4%. Clearly, REED’s product momentum, backboned by a fully amended supply chain, is accelerating. Reiterate Buy.
Drivers of accelerated growth. According to checks, off-shelf velocity and repeat customers continue to grow driven by new REED consumers as well as loyal followers buying more of REED’s newer product lineup. Further, coinciding with a slow relaxation of the COVID-19 lockdown, grocery and mass has seen an uptick in foot traffic. Also, while new packaging (cleaner, sharper look, in our view) was introduced in BH19, it was not broadly distributed until supply chain issues were completely amended in late CY19. Notably, REED’s amended supply chain (five co-packers up from two in 3Q19) has worked to keep shelves stocked, a testament to management supply chain corrections/augmentation in BH19. While contacts suggest product category sales growth is broad-based, we note REED's Ginger Ale sales continue as strong out of the gates, particularly at one of its early adopters, Walmart.
Valuation. REED trades at 1.1x our CY21 EV/Sales, a nearly ~4x turn discount to larger, albeit much slower growth peers, leaving ample stock runway in wake of pronounced and accelerating growth largly driven by transformative new products and extensions, in our view.

VALUATION
Our $2.50 target price is based on a blended 2.5x P/Revenue and 4.5x CY20 EV/Revenue. Factors which could impede REED from reaching our target price include: 1) Customer acceptance of its new Virgil's product line; 2) The company's ability to refinance its existing balance sheet; 3) The Company's ability to close on its letter of intent to divest its LA plant and; 4) Consumer behavior away from traditional beverage offerings toward more natural beverage options.
RISKS
Risks include but are not limited to a lack of customer and/or end-consumer acceptance to new product introductions; changes in cost and availability of raw materials and distribution partners; effectiveness of advertising and marketing campaigns; the closing of Reed's announced sale of its LA manufacturing plant; relatively limited capital to compete with larger, traditional carbonated drink competitors; changes in consumer behavior away from natural based products; the general economy, particularly in the United States and Reed's ability to expand in current marketplaces and/or enter new ones.
COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Reed’s owns, produces and markets a market leading portfolio of handcrafted, natural beverages in the natural and specialty foods industry. Primary customers include grocery, natural food, retail and convenience store outlets. Reed's two core brands are 1) Virgil’s soda beverages, which utilize all natural ingredients and 2) Reed’s Ginger Beer, which uses fresh ginger, spices and fruits in a brewing process predating commercial soft drinks.

I still cannot find Reed’s ginger ale at Walmart or Fry’s (A Kroger Company) in the Phoenix, AZ valley. Roth Capital Markets had a report this month that said Walmart was an early adopter of the new Reed’s ginger ale. Disappointed, but still holding all my shares.
Still long (half my position) as I still think this could hit a dollar!

I’m still holding here. What are your guys thoughts?
By the looks of the amount of volume since they priced and placed their last PIPE ($0.375) it could be that the market has absorbed the bulk of the shares that wanted to flip for a quick profit. After yesterday’s earnings report, this should trek its way back to a dollar. Still long about half my position but will look to lighten up at around a dollar. Let’s see what happens. Good luck
- IMHO
Hey Gumbie...
I'm laughing over here about what you wrote. Not because you're wrong, but because you're right... And the reason probably is: Because they "finally" replaced Mr. Reed (an innovator), with a real business minded CEO, and I think it's really helped out.
I read where he's still on the BOD, but if my memory serves me right, he is not the Director???
In any event; I believe that 'good change is the story here, and let's hope that Monday is a fruitful day.
I would never fault a person for taking a profit. However, it is interesting how the uptick gains have held their own each trading day (these past few days especially).
Good fortune to you,
5X
If so, that’s fine with me since I still have half my position. In either case, this thing has NEVER made a profit so we’ll have to see if “this time it’s different...”
- JMHO
HaHa, it's going much higher than this my friend.
Sold half my position- right here near the mid $0.60s- that I picked up at $0.40 back on the 20th of April! Will scale out of some of the rest if this keeps trading upwards.....
- JMHO
Agreed, investors coming from the A P R U run up...that was they said on https://www.facebook.com/groups/AppleRush/
I think there will be some more buying opportunities with it. But it does looks like people are starting to take positions in it. I’m not saying it’s going to the moon like other penny stocks but I def think $5-6 or maybe more per share could be possible in 6-12 months.
Hey Kid,
GRPN's chart looks damn good. A stone cold buy on a pull-back to the one line. I like your theory going forward from here as things start to get back to normal (post virus) for restaurants, etc...
Maybe it will dip again???
Damn good point.
I like the drone stocks right now.
Specifically Canadian "DFLYF" (U.S. Government contracts)
I’m going to check all of these out. Honestly I’ve been outta the game for a long time doing my own investments but this dip has got me intrigued :)
I am very bullish on Groupon. I think they could repeat what they did in the last downturn. Companies looking to get people back into their doors will be looking for discount channels like Groupon. And consumers will be desperate for ways to save money. No ones needed Groupon the last few years haha. Plus their stock is cheap as hell :)
Got any other drink stocks on the cheap?????
I have VATE & KGKG.
Considering JSDA....
Don't like NBEV.
Whatcha got Kid?
I’m in it with ya!
REED's #2 institutional holder is Vanguard.
No worries mate!
We'll be okay. Hot weather is coming up... Just go long.
Yeah I agree. I’m continuing to buy down here. Nice volume today!
Only downside is that ginger beer is primarily a mixer. Which means that a large portion of their business is sold directly to bars and restaurants. But I’m bullish on their in store stuff and other lines which should be skyrocketing right now. Speaking with a friend who is an exec at anchor brewing he said REEDs is the number one brand name for ginger beer period. But again pointed out that for mixers a large portion of their volume is likely bars. So it’s he’s to gauge.
Hey, it's on the 52 week bottom, and I'm buying the chit out of it... Same as KGKG and VATE.
With REED, you are also getting Virgil's Soda Company, because REED bought them out in 1999.
Maybe somebody will buy REED?
Heck, they sell REED at Meijer's and WAL-MART stores!
FYI- this company has NEVER been profitable despite having very good product(s). I’m not sure how they were able to pull off an equity financing in this market but it was probably in the works over a month ago when it was trading above $0.60 (ie their last Offering price). Nonetheless, it might be worth a shot for a quick trade to pick some up here in $0.38s slightly above the priced deal going into the Summer. Last time they did something similar it took the market a couple months to absorb the new shares so don’t expect this to go past $0.45 any time soon. But if you’re willing to hold it for at least two months then you could see a “pop” back up to $0.60 or so for a decent gain. Make sure to keep a stop loss at $0.30 in the event this breaks down completely. Good luck!
- JMHO
Shouldn’t this companies sales be exploding right now? Pretty much all beverage companies are right now. This going under the radar?
