Nice. I expect $O to make new highs soon. Realty Income Group is the Marshawn Lynch of REITs, if not monthly dividend paying stocks.
I bought my options back with for half of what I sold them for. Back up it goes.
It will. It always does. But as they say: higher highs made with lower lows. All I know is that $O made it on the coveted S&P high yield dividend Aristocrats index.
Glad I sold4 them in the money. Nice run we had.
my 55 Feb call 55's that I picked up @ .05 look really sweet right now!
Dividend increase as of 1/20 by 3.0% or $0.189 per month. Thanks to the BOD for being on top of this gem!
Anyone a chartist and can foresee the future? Would like to see some info regarding On Balance Volume and Accumulation and the resistance. I mean am I that amateur to be asking that question? This stock is a gold mine and I wish I had more in the bank.
Just a quality stock with competent management and organic growth. The ever increasing monthly dividend helps too :) All around a great stock to have in your portfolio. Monthly compounding with a DRIP/ FRIP is great.
Not complaining, but is there a reason for the jump?
Love it man. Every day!
OOOOOOOOOOO BABY!
Agreed. Hopefully news of a divi increase soon as well.
More new highs to come!
New highs! What a great performing stock.
You will be doing yourself a great justice!
Looks good but a bit rich for my blood atm ;)
Gonna have to wait 2-3 months and drop a chunk down.
This is a fantastic stock not only for the Dividend but the ever increasing pps ;)
.18? Not bad at all. TYVM for the response!
A great stock to have in a compounding retirement portfolio. Divi is a little over $0.18 per share. Has been steadily increasing since inception. My current favorite for monthly divi stock.
Just came across this stock, how're the divys? I'm interested in building a core divy portfolio. TIA.
Indeed. I will continue adding on dips. mm'ed you, good sir.
Couldn't have said it any better, I've been in for a few years now and am extremely happy with this investment!
I agree on the indication. They have been consistently increasing the dividend for quite some time now. Good management and ROI here for sure. A great addition for a retirement plan.
Good point, I'm curious of the same, just noticed the largest volume day in quite some time. Should be a good indication of the positive upside to this ;)
Yep. I'm loving it. I'm still trying to figure if/ when it will pull back, and what it will pull back to.
Amazing how this has grown in the past year!
Mark- I also got into MORL. Every 3rd div is large due to passing on qtr. div's that they receive & pay monthly. REGARDS
Just got into PSEC... got a few hundred added into my IRA. Going to buy some more next week.
This baby has certainly been looking sweet as well.
Thanks for the tip.
I like the monthly dividend paying stocks. I.E. PSEC has declared monthly div thru July 2014 with increases each month & paying 11+% right now. Now that makes me sleep very nicely.
Excellent thanks for the tips. I also like FRT. A friend recommended that some time ago and I never dove in. Kicking myself in the butt. In any event my new theme park thriller IACH will hopefully make up for that loss. I am of the opinion that we have ourselves a real nice one here with O.
Regards,
Mark
Mark- When I retired I sold all my income properties due the the hassle of it all & got into real estate stocks for the dividends. I also have ARCP & PSEC. Look at the dividend history & you may see something you like. REGARDS Capt.AL
Recently interest rates rose dramatically and led to sell off in interest rate sensitive shares.?? I think it was overdone, considering the economic weakness.??? I?m looking for balanced investments that became better priced ? for income and growth over the long term.
One group that was hit particularly hard are the triple net lease REITs.
Investopedia explains 'Triple Net Lease'
For example, if a property owner leases out a building to a business using a triple net lease, the tenant will be responsible for paying the building's property taxes, building insurance and the cost of any maintenance or repairs the building may require during the term of the lease. Because the tenant is covering these costs (which would otherwise be the responsibility of the property owner), the rent charged in the triple net lease is generally lower than the rent charged in a standard lease agreement.??http://www.investopedia.com/terms/n/netnetnet.asp
There has been a spate of major acquisitions in the area as larger operators sought to take advantage of the sharp price declines.
Realty Income ? symbol O was the ?leader? of the group until recently.?? A merger makes them #2.? From the attached articles you can O is regarded as the high quality name.

Anything you can share would be great. thanks!!!!!!!!
Best,
Mark
I got into it for the rising monthly dividend. Look at the history of it.
I understand this is a great long term investment. Anyone care to elaborate?
Just buying in 300 shares. How is my entry point timing?
Anyone catch this article from a couple of weeks ago?

Doesn't appear to me that their is a whole lot of dissatisfied shareholders dumping into the Ben B. orchestrated sell off. If their are, their are about as many buyers that feel this is a great opportunity to buy at today's lower prices.
Hummmmmm, 1 or 2 thousand shares could make one a nice piece of change by Friday !!! Timing the low is going to be tricky at best!!
Or it can do the opposite.
