I'm not going to get into a political debate, the majority won and the minority are whinging about losing. There was a clear divide between the old and the young, with the old vote winning the day. It's as simple as that! By the way the only reason the vote was so near was because every borough in NI and Scotland voted to stay in, a very clear protest vote and full of self interest! If you look at the voting map of England and Wales, you'll see that 90% of the voting boroughs outside of london (or Londonistan as the USA security services have nicknamed it) voted out! Everything you read is negative and I have to say the 'left' are doing a great job giving the impression that the UK is doomed for ever, and as usual the markets and the media have gone overboard and over reacted. The UK will be fine!

The Brits were duped by the rhetoric of hate and despair and now they voted their own economy into the chitter. The prime minister and the remain assholes did not do a convincing job for the benefits of staying or the ramifications of leaving...nearly 4 million Brits are undergoing buyers remorse and want a 2nd vote... This is a classic civics lesson in the perils of majority vote without checks and balances...

Now the hard work starts, basically we have up to 2 years to transition to an independent country but Gremany aand France are the 2 main instigators of a United Federal Europe and I'm certain they will stick the knife in and twist it as much as possible on our way out. There could be a domino effect throught the EU as people are fed up of being ruled by an entity that is at odds with individual country needs. The main thing to do is not rush into Article 50 (leaving EU) but stop and re-organise the new government plans.

OTTAWA - The Canadian government has nearly completed a gradual sell-off of its gold reserves as its holdings of the precious metal now amount to just a few dozen ounces.

Data from the World Gold Council suggest Canada stands apart from its industrialized peers as the only G7 country without a stockpile of at least hundreds of tons of gold.

The federal Finance Department says Ottawa unloaded nearly 22,000 ounces of gold coins in February for about $35 million.

The department says the government now holds just 77 ounces of gold — valued around $130,000.

A department spokesman says the government has a long-standing policy of diversifying its portfolio by selling physical commodities like gold in order to invest instead in assets that are more easily traded.

Former senior Finance Department bureaucrat Don Drummond says he doesn't think it makes any sense for Canada to hold any gold because it hasn't delivered a good rate of return over time and it costs money to store it.
