Welcome aboard, Celtics!
This guy channels pretty well, the only thing you have to worry about is if they release bad news.
I see this ones breaking out.......BUY........rareF
SQUEEZE the shorts here! Unbelievable short squeeze ready to go!!!
Is it just me or does it seem like there is a ton of accumulation of QTM shares going on?
That is how I'm playing it, it may happen in the reverse too - drop to fill the gap and the run up.
A little run up then your drop to 1.20 a little before noon?
With the election on Tuesday, I say pullback on Monday for profit protection. Short this here...
Watch out for Friday sell off. There is no reason for today's move. But you got to love it!
Buying on the dip.
QTM has a gap to fill back down to 1.20. Time to short...
QTM is my all time favorite stock!
73K by 64K on my L2. QTM bounced hard today in a green market. I'm going to wait until this bases out or pulls back. Buyer beware, QTM is famous for bad news PR's BUT they have pretty much ran through all those already these past two quarters. Looking to run up through end of year...
Don't like that fat ask
Anything under 1.20 is a freaking gift!
Possible acquisition involving QTM!!
Friday October 12, 2012
NetApp, Inc. (NASDAQ:NTAP): Yesterday, Wells Fargo stated that the hiring of Jonathan Kissane as chief strategy officer means it is not probably that NetApp will be acquired. Wells thinks that the moves suggests that NetApp hopes to grow bigger, and noted that recent industry trends have moved toward owning more of the entire stack. The firm also stated that shares of Quantum (NYSE:QTM) and Commvault (NASDAQ:CVLT) will probably increase due to their possibility as acquisition targets. Wells keeps its Market Perform rating on the stock, and it continues to prefer its competitor EMC (NYSE:EMC).
I think QTM is holding up pretty well between 1.29 and 1.30 for such a down day in the market...
The chart here is really shaping up imo.

Anyone not picking up shares here is a fool.
Important news.
I heard through the grapevine that Quantum is separating from their largest distributor, Avent. This will take place over the next 90 days however the N.A. Distribution Manager said it will start happening this week. That means there will be approxiamtely 80 million dollars available to the other disti's. The second biggest disti for Quantum is Arrow Electronics a fortune 140 company. This is huge news and will allow Quantum to grow even faster because Arrow is set up to streamline Quantum business to its resellers.
Market came back today and so did QTM! Looking at the 2.50 mark tomorrow...
This is a no brainer... Way too low of a price. If the market goes up, this will quickly retrace - every single time.
Why is there nobody in this board, this is one of the most predictable stocks ever!
QTM $2.15 with upgrade:
Wunderlich Securities analyst Brian Freed this morning raised his rating on data storage systems provider Quantum Corp. to Buy from Hold, with a new price target of $3, up from $2.20. The stock closed Thursday at $2.04.
“Our checks suggest stable demand for tape and improving demand for disk and software, which should enable the company to meet or exceed our September quarter estimates,” Freed writes in a research note. “Moreover, continued share gains in tape, recent product announcements in the disk and software segment, evidence of traction related to the reseller relationship with NetApp, and strategic hires in sales over the past several months offer a tangible basis to support sustained growth for Quantum.”
For what is worth department:
Using point and figure chart set on default setting the price objective is $10.50.
When will the stock price reach its objective? Who knows since the element of time does not exist in point and figure charting.

This should take off soon enough,
it has got to break the $4,
cannot stay under forever.
MDS
Here she comes back home, and hopefully up again paving the way to double digit $$.....
It seems like a trend in more places than one?

Why would QTM buy imbalance on market close? Do they see this flying back up to where it came from?
I hear you loud and clear LincolnStocks! I don't get it either. I could understand a SLIGHT decline in the SP due to their next quarter outlook, but not the share plunge we are witnessing in the after and pre-market hours.
wtf happened, they didn't declare bankruptcy or anything horrendus....why such a fall in after hours?
Looks like its heading down unfortunately, could profit taking send it down this much?
Does anyone see this getting bought out any time soon?
Quantum apparently supported or attended:
Next Generation Sequencing Congress
&
Analytical Genomics Congress 2010
Promoting their "StorNext" product
http://www.nextgenerationsequencing-congress.com/dms/uploaded_files/cmnmdb/event_docs/2nd_NGS_Analytical_Genomics_Congress_09.11.10.pdf
As for "SIMILIAR" to QTM , i would
say, NO SUCH THING, since for some
odd reason, instead of listing with
NSDQ this compnay is listed on NYSE,
with the BIG BOYS. And that makes it
a "qaurantee" more so than not.
It is a very UNIQUE one indeed.
INTT mite be good also, remember,
TRADE EM, and hold a few shares
for the bigger move.... gltu
In 2011, i will do a review , but for
now you can put on your list the following,
(not to many out there, growth is not great
rite now)
LVLT
MOVE
DYAX
LSCC
TUNE
LIOX
make sure you do your own DD on these, but i have em
on my list . You can use the 20,50,200 EMA to trade
these, the 200 being the most important , since that
will give you a chance to grab the BIG move. gltu
I don't have private reply so sorry to the others reading this...
Money_doesn't_sleep, Do you recommend any other sub $5 plays similar to this?
A lot of variables are associated with
such a price, not to mention a possible
Buy Out, Merger, Take Over and Bankruptcy.
Asside from that, its a reference point
that at the present moment makes sense,
imo this stock will make money for shareholders
NO "quarentee", BUT , QTM will do
what ever it takes to get the pps
above that price.
i still think this goes to $12 or higher.
if the EPS continues to improve and valuations
increase, this stock should hit high based
on my experience with sub $5 growth stocks.
So does that mean they almost gurantee roughly ~$4.33 PPS by 2015?
What do you think about the ~$4.33 expected price?
QTM,, seems about right, would be nice
if the offer was dome FAST, cheers,

As the leading global specialist in backup, recovery and archive for more than 27 years, Quantum has been focused on helping IT departments address data protection and data retention challenges by incorporating innovative solution sets with world-class service and support.
Backup, recovery, and archive needs are growing in scale and complexity. IT managers face ever-expanding data volumes, more stringent recovery requirements, new security guidelines, and static budgets. To add further complication, there is increasing pressure to minimize power, cooling, and space in the datacenter by adopting “greener” processes.
Because meeting these complex, rapidly evolving needs often require multiple technologies and
approaches, Quantum is uniquely positioned to address each facet in the backup, recovery and archive process. We deliver intelligent and innovative solutions that integrate disk, tape, replication, and encryption, and we work with customers to match the right technologies to their specific business requirements. Our advice is tailored for each individual company, and like our solutions, it is always technology and platform independent.
