Understood. But I would still like to see a strong close closer to the HOD based on this news today. Currently making a move back towards $7.00. A close above $7.00 today and then above $8.00 in the next few trading days would justify the initial comment in this thread. Otherwise, if it sells off into close...that's No Bueno!

Don't confuse price action based on short-term trading with more fundamental, science-based moves.

Today it's the traders cashing in, and good for them. I'm not saying anything against SRPT--they've also got a promising drug in the works--but RNA is on the way back up, it just may be more gradually.

I think the news is huge but not sure what the sci community thinks

Some are a bit sceptical of the subset analysis that is the basis for today's news, and realize that GSK saw the same data and gave drisapersen back to Prosensa.

So it's far from a slam dunk, but just the news that all is not lost, that further testing and FDA submissions will occur, should be enough to drive the PPS back to more normal and realistic evaluations.

Short-term traders selling today, and good for them. But I'm looking for at least $10 in the next month if not sooner.

The headline of this FierceBiotech article doesn't sugarcoat the situation and tells it like it is: GSK dumps a failed muscular dystrophy drug back in Prosensa's lap.

The key word is dump, because that's what it is. GSK saw very little chance of approval. Prosensa absolutely did not terminate the agreement since it's the last thing they wanted.

I really can't see what Prosensa is going to do with drisapersen--try and find another partner I guess or even file again on its own with the FDA--but IMHO they'd be better off just to write it off and focus on the other stuff in their pipeline.

I'm hoping that there's a dead cat bounce to around $5 in the next few days and then I'm going to eat my big loss and move on.

What do you think it means for drisaperen? I know it seems like GSK is bailing on drisaperen and any other drugs that Prosena is working on, but could it be that Prosena terminated the agreement or bought GSK out of it?

Prosensa has 8 other drugs in their pipeline besides drisapersen, they're a well-managed serious biotech company and not some little scam, so eventually they'll recover.

But this is a major, major setback.

One thing is for sure on this right now...

With the way the chart is forming and the Bollinger Bands contracting towards each other (currently only $1.07 spread between upper and lower)...this thing is going to explode in one direction or the other VERY soon!!! With improving RSI (finally over 30 again!) and upward trending Stochastics...I'm trusting it will be upward. JUST NEEDS GREAT VOLUME! It needs to move up and hold around the $4.20 area (currently) to break the downtrend from what I can see. JMHO. Good Luck!
