re: If/When
Those are the operative words. I do understand where you are coming from, but the institutions don't think like you. They have clients to whom they are responsible.
An individual may deem it acceptable to make a large "to da mooon" gamble on a sub-penny, the institutions do not. They will get in, make some money, then get out quick before the hammer has a chance to fall.
This is not an argument against or for CMKM, only an opinion (based on years of experience) on how the institutions work and their level of risk aversion.
I disagree. If/When CMKX announces they found Diamonds do you really think this will be a short term play? I don't and that is what my whole reasoning is behind buying in at .0001 and holding every single share. JMO
Thanks for the info, WTBR. I'll check 'em out!
re: What does this mean ???
It means the institutions are playing the MOMO for all it's worth. Just like everyone else seems to be. I seriously doubt they intend to take a long term position (read 6-12 mos.) Get in, make some $$, then get out while the gettin's good.
cool~ a new board.. What is the L2 for CMKX
Level II on CMKX is firming should have a positive move today.
Greg I would like to direct you towards hbsl own dd page.

My comments there looking to get listed as the pps rises.
Major contracts with vendors and much more. They are compliant with the sec accept in share price that will change in time and that is why I am long.
CMKX: I am noticing a gradual institutional increase in the below pie chart since last 6 days.
It is increasing @3-5% ( currently 29%) every day. What does this mean ???

DPTR board....
Keith
Asking how long a long term investment will take to provide the expected gains is a reasonable question, no?
Hey oil baron - the article / link is where?
Cabernet on the brain.
TIA
Spockster
what does it matter to you playing for what's it's worth and you?????
blasher,
Oh, I'm sorry! Your post (that I was responding to) was addressed to "swingingforthefences". I screwed up, thinking "sftf" has penned the post.

speak for itself.

I like Vera, but am glad this is being tried...can't stand the elderly evil and cohorts.. GO CMKX!
good way to do the board, swinging....best of luck, sub
Mariner,
I'm going to try to ask you again. What did I say to get you so angry at me? I am aware that CMKM is a pink sheet. I am also aware that long term holders of equities usually know a lot more about the equity than I was led to believe is known about this stock. This is a board for LTBH investors. Aren't these honest and appropriate questions?
Ahhhh Duhhhhh Pink Sheet Stock. State the obvious, they have no reporting requirements period.
Yes, time will tell. I bot 2 mil. @ .0001 for a lotto tik. Sold 1 mil @ .0007. Will keep the rest "just in case". GLTY as well.
re: Please don't tell us that you're just going to beat on a dead horse for an answer that is not available at the present time and everyone knows it.
Well, I just learned it with the answer to that post (and I am flabbergasted, but that's another discussion).
I do find it a bit, shall we say, unusual for someone to invest long term in an equity about which very (and I mean VERY) little is known.
Why, may I ask, is your tone dripping with sarcasm? If I said something to offend you, I apologize.
Churak.... IMO we will find out. time will tell. Good luck if you are in.
IMHO...no way will you ever find out the o\s. Same thing happened with MEMI...promises of a filing...even held a shareholders meeting...filings never happened, printing press continued, death spitral financing via a BVI company, transfer agent gagged, blah blah blah...
Earth Shattering UTD info Greg.Good observation. Now please inform the posting public at large with some information that we all are not already aware of. Please don't tell us that you're just going to beat on a dead horse for an answer that is not available at the present time and everyone knows it.
I'm assuming from your response that you do not know. Wow!
Yes I do. Very risky I know but that is where the best returns can be found. I shouldn't have to tell you how much I am up at this point. :)
No problemo. I am no expert - most of what I have learned is from a friend of mine who is retired, and from reading books, and the REIT board on the Motley Fool.
If I can help, or get help to answer some questions - will do my best!
GL
Spockster
spockster,
I've gotta run right now, but I'd like to pick your brain on REIT's later. OK??
Do you have $10-11,000 invested in something on which you cannot read financials?
Nice board! I will be 49 in about 2 weeks. Over the past 3 years have been slowly building up a portfolio, in Energy and monthly and quarterly income plays, and REIT's.
I wasn't into the market in the 80's or 90's - just built up a nice nest egg buying and selling various homes and a couple of rental properties. Wish I would have put $100K of my RE cap gains into MSFT or AMZN back in 1985 when I moved from CA to WA.
AT the momment, I own at 11 Reits, 28.2% of my entire portfolio. Yields as of 6/5/04
CMO 14.96%
GRT 8.67
HCN 7.57
HPT 7.07
NXL 6.97
RAS 9.78
RWT 5.52
TMA 9.75
HCM 9.93
IMH 12.87
MFA 10.80
I'm not big on the details; of more interest to me is spread and dividend payment history. When the pattern of payments gets reduced or eliminated I drop it. I've been through a dozen or so such changes.
I do an average every week of all my holdings and the last average yield was 10.01%.
I also "gamble" on a regular basis, swing trading the downtrodden, OTC's, and pinks. Read Buzz's board, EZ, BB's, Subbers, and Monk's when he was around.
At the moment, "high risk OTC's and Pinks" that I am accumulating on dips and holding for hopefully BIG future gains:
APOA, EPUC, ERHC, IESV, QBID, TRBY, oh and of course CMKX. IF, any of these really pop, plan to sell enough to ride free shares, and put any huge gains into more income producing stocks and REIT's to eventually equal my current salary.
Goal - semi-retire next year in Maui, work as a consultant, do a little trading each week for recreational/travel $$$.
That's it for now.
GLTA
Spockster
Do you plan to hold 6 mos., 1 year, longer?
I'm assuming from your response that you do not know. Wow!
Same here I started my purchases in early April at .0001 and accumulated 115 million and still holding every single share.
at .0001 last month
We should be finding out that pertinent info shortly. IMO
Matt,
re: I say it's around 200-250 billion.
Whoa, Nellie!! If that is the case, take my last post and raise it to a power of 10! Matt, why would someone plan to hold this stock as a LTBH? I'm in a quandry here!
15-20 billion shares O/S on CMKX?
What's your logic?
It has to be over 100 billion based on the volume it took to move it alone.
I say it's around 200-250 billion.
Nice Board Swingin!!! Good Luck With It!!!
I'm sure there will be more than enough material for several boards of this nature pertaining to a specific stock.
Thanks for starting it!
Kudos to ya,
Mariner
Did you say 15-20 billion (with a "B") shares?? Good grief, what is the book value of the firm? What are their net assets and liabilities? VERY important stuff to know if you are going to hold on to a stock for the long haul.
TIA,
I have to laugh at those making those statements. No one knows for sure but we should find out soon enough. I am thinking between 15-20 billion O/S. JMO
If you don't mind saying, when did you start buying?
no just asking why would UC lock-up 600mil. shares and others state that he's crapping out shares left & right...
Are you holding CMKX since 4/03?
so what about the 600 mil. shares lock-up from there 8-K last April 03 were does that plays in the picture? TIA

BnB,
re: Solid utilities are good to hold.
So true. I held Columbia Gas for years, it got boring and I sold a few years back.
Sure wish I had held on to it (but as you know hindsight is 20/20!)
That's the way to find them. IMO you won't see the gain now on a Bank One JP/Chase deal. FWIW I hold DUK LTB&H too. Pays a nice dividend. Solid utilities are good to hold.
Absolutely. eom
BnB,
That's what peaked my interest ... Bank One has been my bank for over 20 years (used to be called Arizona Bank).
Bank One CEO Jamie Dimon has REALLY impressed me. One of the VERY excellent CEO's, IMO.
