Investors seeking new alternatives for high returns find a gold mine in China -- until the discovery of a massive web of fraud calls everything else into question.

After the financial crisis of 2007–2008, investment firms in the United States sell opportunities to unsuspecting Americans who want to get rich by participating in the "China growth story." They do so by getting small nondescript Chinese companies (like Orient Paper and Advanced Battery Technologies (ABAT)) to do reverse mergers with defunct American companies (like Buffalo Mining) and thus get listed overnight, thus adding a garb of respectability and reliability.

Most of the companies were listed through reverse mergers.The film reveals that the actual revenues of Chinese firms were typically one-tenth of what was filed with the SEC.Subsequent to investigations, most of the firms were de-listed resulting in losses of billions of dollars to US investors.

Information on the frauds was published in Chinese newspapers in 2010 including the online edition of Sina, but American investors were unaware of these as the articles were mostly in Chinese. Subsequently, the small research and investment firm Muddy Waters published translations of the Sina reports but they did not receive much attention.

Yes, could be the case now that they got that rs out of the way and it has proven to run instead of tanking further. That said, I don't trust er' very much, BUT I will continue to trade it when it looks good... and as you indicated, I do think there is the potential it could very well turn out to be a good one.

P.S. I traded this for all it was worth a couple years ago thinking/hoping it would really fly but as so many others in the market since 21' it went to sh*t... now it's round two though, so maybe this time it will Go Big. We'll see. GLTU

Looking at their core biz, OS, RSI, and the charts, this may be one where we hold through all of the retracements and keep accumulating. PPS kept going up in AH. Thanks to all for the good DD.

Edit regarding a gap,, when I looked at another chart--1yr-- there is a big gap down @1.34 - 2.48.. but she is curling at the 2.80 level as I write this,, SO, we'll see.. might see another run-up before finally going back down to fill... who knows--it's Chyna, right! ha-ha
