This is one of the worst boards in boarding history . Same for the stock
RAVE and the Toronto Raptors have one thing in common, they both have recently taken a beating.
This company has just turned for the worst last year or so. Looked so promising and now my pet rock seems like a better investment.
RAVE can duck my balls
Laurel and Market Square locations are closed L'Enfant Plaza is not busy, The pie five pizza business is toast!
450 locations in the pipeline, currently 85 opened. Hang in there folks
Hoping for a better week to come
It always seems to have a big spike and then a cash out.
Patience grasshopper
I ate the breadsticks a few weeks back. Can't honestly evaluate them as I was talking with a P5 regional manager and didn't eat them till I go home. I'm not much of a breadstick guy anyway.
Seeking Apha has a few good contributors on RAVE if you haven't seen them yet.
The yahoo board is all over the bread sticks as the new item ! Baby steps Fast casual is fast ! Bread sticks are all about margin and ease of labor hrs in the process ! These guys come from pizza hut so I'm sure they will cross menu items ! new items drive sales get new customers in the door! Chipolties menu is not overwhelming keep it simple its all location !
The shorts are cashing in on 10% with rave omg! Well part of the game!
Should go back to 5.25 today market is closed on Monday! any thoughts??
yes, you are right ! I did as well , I guess the way the market is like you say 7-8 could be the high for 2016. hopping they get to the east coast ! Ill be watching sune and rave as well as well as wmih any input would be helpful!!!!
Stocks like this can be easily manipulated in the short run. I picked up more shares today.
The shorts brought it down twice today making a modest 10% each time hopping next quarter we see a nice bounce!!!!
Thanks Growtheport yes I have bought shares out of the IRA account with a five year growth target! There was a bounce to 7.80 when I first got in then it was shorted . I agree they have 450 signed contracts to open stores so it is a race for realestate . So opening stores and running them to be profitable will take some time! now bitting my nails with sune :)
Hi 44. According to one source, since June of 2015, there has been no insider selling and nothing but purchases. 5 open market purchases for 32,000 shares and about 100,000 shares per grants.
It's my understanding RAVE sold shares last summer to raise capital for store expansion. Dilution for shareholders yet they are on an aggressive expansion path.
Given this stock is thinly traded, below $10 a share, and the company is not yet profitable, it's hard to predict share price. I'd be fine with something north of $7 in 2016, with increasing SSS and store adds.
There are many players in the fast casual pizza market. Let's see if P5 can be a big player.
hey, Growthport I read the 10k and saw a part were in 2005 the stock options were given out with experations in 2015. The company rose in 2015 to 16.00 then a sell off . It seem like the big wigs cashed out! I belive they issued more or they bought more recently this I'm hopping will create another spike! I want to be long it could go to 20-30. what is your take thanks
Hi its nice to see some new posts! I like the idea ! Ive never eaten in one ! its like the beginning of a marathon who will be there in the end! Could Blaze buy p5. They are saying they want 12,000 locations but no ipo yet. CEO of p5 came from pizza hut , but how long will he stay? and how aggressive will he be? We need a celebrity today its the trend. P5 seems old school merging with new trend but old school operators hope they get hip!!!! This stock is getting shorted all the time? GLTA
I'd like to see more than your opinion on this. Reference data to support it's "dead".
Location is important for any business. I think the LT challenge is there are many players in this segment. Will P5 be one of the big 3?
Pie Fives usually are busy on first week but once the hype is over, it's either dead or just decent customers. There's four in my area, and they are doing decent but one location is almost always dead. I think location is key with Pie Five. I remember in early days they wanted to be next door to starbucks. I wonder if that is still true today?
I haven't followed Blaze yet, but given LJ is a big investor, I'll steer clear just on that fact alone.
I did eat lunch at the local Pie Five today. VG overall. Spoke with GM who said they've been slammed since they opened last week.
I'm taking a hard look at this one trying to decide how aggressive I should be at this point.
Hi jag. So far only this one and yahoo. I hope to get this one going.
So Blaze is getting Mr James as an investor but no ipo yet ??
Blaze is also coming to boston ??
Hello rave people Is there a better blog than this one and could I have the name please. New to the company would love to talk with someone about our future
Hello all !!! will we see a run like last spring? It seems like that effected by the 10yr option on the shares given out in 2005.
Any info would be great! newer share holder like the subway concept. thank you
I thought so at $5.75 but wanted to ease in. I think there are both buyers and shorts covering at this level. The CEO made a few large open market purchases the end of Dec.
Lot's of promise here with Pie Five.
I knew this was a steal at $6 this morning. I should have bought but I didn't know enough about the company. I would double down here if I was one of you longs, but I am an amateur.... gl
Hmm, that's not really true. In 2011 it reached it's high point in Dec. In 2012 it reached is low point in June. In 2013 it reached it's high point in Nov. In 2014 high point was August. In 2015 high point was March.
Guess you don't look at charts. Must be a swing trader.
Winter goes down, summer goes up. Easy money here. GLTA!
Got my starter block around 5.70 a share.
Will look to add on dips or as it starts to move up. I'm guessing shorts are closing out their positions for 2015.
Looking to buy.
I've done most of my homework and I'm going to place a buy order. Glad I found it after the big price drops.

Pizza Inn, headquartered in the Dallas area, operates more than 310 restaurants domestically and internationally, with several new stores scheduled to open in the next year.
Our History:
Pizza Inn has offered consumers affordable, quality pizza since 1958, when the first Pizza Inn restaurant opened in Dallas, Texas. We awarded our first franchise in 1963 and opened our first buffet restaurant in 1969. We began franchising the Pizza Inn brand internationally in the late 1970s. In 1993, our stock began trading on the NASDAQ Stock Market, and presently trades on the NASDAQ SmallCap Market under the ticker symbol “PZZI”.
Pizza Inn, Inc. and its subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the “Company”, “Pizza Inn” or in the first person notations of “we”, “us” and “our”) operate and franchise pizza buffet, delivery/carry-out and express restaurants domestically and internationally under the trademark “Pizza Inn.” Through our Norco Restaurant Services Company (“Norco”) division, and through agreements with third party distributors, we provide or facilitate food, equipment and supply distribution to our domestic and international system of restaurants.
On September 20, 2006, the Pizza Inn system consisted of 369 restaurants, including three Company-owned restaurants, and 366 franchised restaurants. The domestic restaurants are comprised of 175 buffet restaurants, 48 delivery/carry-out restaurants and 70 express restaurants. The international franchised restaurants are comprised of 18 buffet restaurants, 48 delivery/carry-out restaurants and 10 express restaurants. Domestic restaurants are located predominantly in the southern half of the United States, with Texas, North Carolina, and Arkansas accounting for approximately 35%, 14%, and 8%, respectively, of the total number of domestic restaurants.
Our Concepts:
We offer three concepts: buffet, delivery/carry-out and express. Each is designed to enhance the smooth flow of food ordering, preparation and service, and we believe that the overall configuration of each results in simplified operations, lower training and labor costs, increased efficiency and improved consistency and quality of our food products. Our restaurants may be configured to adapt to a variety of building shapes and sizes, offering the flexibility necessary for our concepts to be operated at any number of otherwise suitable locations.
Our focused menu is designed to present an appealing variety of high quality pizza and side items to our customers. Our basic buffet restaurant menu offers three main crusts (Original Thin Crust, New York Pan and Italian), with standard toppings and special combinations of toppings. Buffet restaurants also offer pasta, salad, sandwiches, appetizers, desserts and beverages, including beer and wine in some locations, in an informal, family-oriented atmosphere. We occasionally offer other items on a limited promotional basis. Delivery/carryout restaurants usually offer the three main crusts and some combination of side items. We believe that our focus on three main crust types creates a better brand identity among customers, improves operating efficiency and maintains food quality and consistency.
Our buffet and delivery/carry-out concepts feature crusts that are hand-made from dough made fresh in the restaurant each day. We do not use a centralized commissary for mass production of dough and our dough is never frozen (with the exception of certain dough products used in the express concept for pizza, discussed below). Pizza Inn pizzas are made from a proprietary all-in-one flour mixture, real mozzarella cheese and a proprietary mix of classic pizza spices. Domestically, all ingredients and toppings can be purchased from Norco, which makes deliveries to each domestic restaurant in our system at least once per week. Beginning in November 2006, two authorized third party distributors, each of which has delivery responsibilities for different geographical regions of our system, will provide certain of the warehousing and delivery services that were previously provided by Norco. In international markets, the menu mix of toppings and side items is occasionally adapted to local tastes.
