Pilbara Minerals and Calix Limited Announce Investment to Build and Operate Plant for Electric Calcination for High-purity Lithium-rich Chemical Salt

How Will Pilbara Minerals Spend Their $3.3B? With CEO Dale Henderson | Daily Mining Show
Pilbara is extremely well positioned going forward. The growth in production of hard rock lithium couldn't be better timed. The decision to build the mid-stream conversion plant and the hunt for a partner to build a Lithium Hydroxide production plant puts them on course to be a major player and a very profitable one. I will add to my holdings if the share price drops below $2,80, but I'm not holding my breath. I will nibble if the share price holds above $3 while competitors stall or sell down, As long as the price of 6.0% spodumene doesn't fall much further Pilbara's cash machine will keep producing. Even if the price were to collapse Pilbara has the cash to weather any storm, but many of the newer producers can't say the same.
Substantial 109Mt Mineral Resource increase to 414Mt - further extends Pilgangoora's position as a world class lithium project

I trimed my position the other day it sold in a bunch of small pieces. Just as you said. Maybe they took some of mine for other orders?
Can anyone explain the low share purchases when there is a $50 commision for this Austrailian stock. I see 1, 5, 100, share, purchases. I have never purchase less than 2000 shares which turns into .025 per share. Selling causes the same charge, it sure keeps the volume down here in US. They need to list on a major US exchange, which I think will happen when stock goes over $5-$10 US.

Looking at Allkem's quarterly report we can make some educated assumptions. Allkem's average sale price during the quarter was:
based on an average sales price of US$5,702 /dmt CIF for SC 5.2%
Chile's decision to Nationalize the Lithium Industry will benefit miners in Canada and Australia. Look what happened to SQM and ALB on Friday. SQM is entirely reliant on Chile, but ALB may have been unfairly lumped in, they have substantial interests outside Chile.
ASX UP TONIGHT.

UBS’ top five ASX-listed lithium stocks
https://investorshub.advfn.com/secure/post_new.aspx?board_id=32566
In spite of the short-term downturn, UBS has high hopes for lithium and associated producers in the long run because of the wider supply glut.
“Our review of the currently slated supply response suggests higher prices are required and we have increased our long-term prices across the board by ~20%.”
UBS argues this bull case is actually conservative given the following themes:
A lack of new sources of supply
Chinese lepidolite production is slowing (lepidolite is another mineral where lithium can be found, but it’s overlooked in favour of the more conventional spodumene)
Industry participant feedback
Consensus forecasts
The one upgrade
Despite the short-term price downgrades, UBS found room to upgrade Pilbara Minerals (ASX: PLS) to a BUY from neutral. In addition, UBS’ bull case sees the Pilbara price soaring by another 42% to $5.40/share. Analysts argued that the company has the most to gain if its long-term bull case is proven right.
The Stock of the Day is Pilbara Minerals (PLS)

With its massive cash reserves, Pilbara Minerals is now moving downstream.
In February, the company’s Managing Director and CEO Dale Henderson was interviewed by mining audiences manager Michael McCrae at the BMO Global Metals, Mining & Critical Minerals Conference.
Pilbara Minerals (ASX: PLS) is a remarkable growth story. The company started building production late last decade, and it has ridden the battery metals boom. The market cap of Pilbara sits between $14 to $15 billion. Pilbara Minerals is an ASX 50 company.
Guidance for 2023 is between 600,000-620,000 dmt of spodumene concentrate. With expansion plans, the company has its eyes on 1 million tonnes per year.
Nice post. ASX up tonight.

As we approach the 3rd Quarter report it's interesting to compare Pilbara to two of the recent spodumene miners that have garnered a lot of press concerning acquisition, and rumored acquisition; Liontown and Sigma. If you compare the three based on market cap, cash in the bank, current production, and forward production you get this view. I'm assuming that the annual production for each is sold, and at the same price per DMT.
Pilbara
Annual production 2023 580,000 DMT
Annual production 2024 680,000 DMT capital improvements underway
Annual production 2025 1,000,000 DMT capital procurement underway, improvements coincide with current improvements, completed 20224
JV POSCO Lithium Hydroxide (current) 18% interest option to increase
cash on hand 12/2022 approx. $2B AUD
Market cap USD $7.62B
Sigma
Begins production assuming no issues 270,000 DMT 4/23-4/24
Phase 2 annual production 2024 540,000 DMT
Phase 3 future development existing Brown fields, time-frame TBD
cash on hand 9/2022 $86.4M CAD
Market cap USD $4.14B
Liontown
Projected start production Q2 2024 annual production 500,000 DMT
6 years out plans to increase production.
cash on hand 6/2022 $453M AUD
Market cap $4B USD
I hope that the March report gives us more clarity on offtake agreements in place and being negotiated for production capacity increase. Also looking for confirmation the POSCO JV is on production track.

Pilbara Minerals Unfazed by Lithium Slump
March 29, 2023

Banging on all cylinders. PLS is one of the few gold standard miners in the Lithium space. Now that the decision to expand is behind them, I hope they will focus of adding downstream chemical processing to further penetrate the chemical side of battery chemistry.

Liontown rejects $3.7 billion proposal from Albemarle

For reference you can see the daily spodumne spot price in China here https://www.metal.com/Lithium/201906260003
Note the price is quoted in USD and references "galaxy" (now Allkem) and Pilbara as the "brand" which I assume means they are taking thier contract price for that day?
Also note the average price per ton sold in the 1st six months was $4,993USD at 5.4% concentration. you have to adjust the the price to match the spot price quoted @ 6%. note from Pilbara's report see notes page 5:
Equivalent SC6.0 CIF China price for the half-year was US$5,570/dmt. The SC6.0 CIF China price is an industry accepted reference price. The actual concentrate grade delivered to customers is generally less than 6% lithia content ranging between 5.0% to 6.0% lithia, in
which case the actual price received is adjusted pro-rata to the 6% reference price.
Thanks for the update
Hi All,
