Sure is taking a long time for those assay results (grab samples) . According to these guys they were expected right after 1st of year. Beginning to wonder what can be believed and what cannot here. I think the game is starting but I am not sure I like their type of game.
Sorry Sam but "a sampling program"? What were the grab samples??????? Beginning to smell a rat. As you say risks are high in these areas where the sharks hang out.
Now the game begins
"ASHBURTON ANNOUNCES FIRST WORK PROGRAM ON CLAYTON VALLEY LITHIUM CLAIMS BORDERING PURE ENERGY IN NEVADA
Ashburton Ventures Inc. is set to commence a geochemical sampling program on its Elon lithium project directly bordering Pure Energy's Clayton Valley deposit in the coming weeks. The work will be performed by Aurora Geosciences Ltd.
"We are excited to commence work on our claims adjoining, and some now surrounded by, Pure Energy's Clayton Valley South project in Nevada," stated Michael England, president and chief executive officer of Ashburton."
I agree this company is in the new-age metal field. But this company needs to find out about the old-age field of advertising. No interest here because why????
Like to hear that update and some assay results.
Got an answer saying update in a few days.
I e-mailed these guys about assays. No answer which may mean news coming out so why bother when everyone will know soon.
I thought results would take no longer then one month. Good news on Lithium prices again so this will really move if only we could get a little peak at results.
Assay, assay, where are you.
Hoping January will be a golden month as assay results should be coming in. Have noticed on other boards they have mention ABR favorably. Gives me hope word may be getting around that something good is up with this stock.
Expect results shortly after the first.
We finally had a long conversation with a geologist friend who is knowledgeable re Lithium.
Caveat- The 65% assay was from a "grab sample" obtained from the ABR holding. Usually these samples were chosen because of "visable " lithium-that is why they are grab samples. So a showing of 68% is not unusual. If a drill core shows 10-20% we should be happy. After purification measures are taken, the yield would probably be over 90%.
Wait for the core assays..
Yes, good news and more will come. Just concerned that grades being found are not are not good enough to really move this stock. Of course I really know nothing about Lithium, grades, etc.

Most mined commodities declined in price this year, but the price of lithium carbonate actually increased, rising 15% year-on-year to about US$7,500 per tonne, making it one of Patricia Mohr’s top picks for 2016. “It’s a new age metal,” Mohr, vice president of economics and commodity market specialist at Scotiabank says, noting that lithium is used in lithium-ion batteries to power electric cars, a sector that is bound to expand in the years ahead. “There seems to be a growing interest around the world in electric vehicles and even in China there is interest,” she says. While electric vehicles in China are still just a “tiny part of the market” — specifically about 1% of all car sales in the country — they are gaining in popularity. Sales of electric vehicles in China so far this year have reached 171,145, a 290% year-on-year increase. Mohr concedes that like other countries, China still lacks much of the infrastructure needed for the electric car market to really takeoff, but says mega-cities like Beijing and Shanghai are offering major subsidies and license plate incentives to develop the sector. While electric vehicles are expensive, with the lower priced models costing about 200,000 renminbi (US$30,847), government subsidies often cover nearly 50% of the purchase price, she says, and electric vehicles are exempt from sales tax. In addition, licence plates for electric cars are easier to obtain than plates for regular gasoline-driven vehicles. “When you want to buy a vehicle in a place like Beijing, you just can’t go and buy a vehicle, you have to get a licence plate and it’s restricted in terms of how many they give out a year and they are allocated by lottery,” she explains. “In the case of electric vehicles, it’s unrestricted, so you can get a licence plate for it.” Electric vehicles in cities like Beijing are also subject to fewer driving restrictions. Gasoline-driven cars are only permitted to be driven on certain days of the week, she notes, while electric vehicles can be driven seven days of week. “There are some real incentives to buy an electric vehicle in China, but the inhibiting factor is the price and the charging infrastructure is not very ample,” she says. “It’s limited and it’s limited probably mostly to the downtown areas.” As for the impact that electric vehicles might have on greenhouse gas emissions, Mohr says it depends upon the source of electricity, and argues that in China, much will come from coal, and increasingly from coal fields in Xinjiang and Inner Mongolia, in China’s northwest. “China will likely curb the growth of coal-fired power and require clean coal technologies in the Thirteenth Five Year Plan for 2016-2020,” she says, “but coal consumption will not actually decline. The shift to renewable power, natural gas and nuclear, will be gradual.”
I have not looked at any of these types of miners for a few years now, until gold and the like make comeback I wouldn't waste my time on these type of plays.

Do you know if 68% CG (graphene)? is good or not???
Do you know MWM if 68% CG is a good grade of this stuff or not??
Pete--do you know if 68% CG is a good grade of this stuff or not??
I know that there is an Australian company that has developed a system that significantly enhances recovery rates from lower than optimum {90%] lithium ore.
Do you know if 68% cg is worth anything?
NOW we get to important assay results ITS A GOOD START
Perhaps indicates possible drilling will prove structure is economic.
Down the road in January.
"ASHBURTON RELEASES OUTCROP SAMPLING RESULTS FROM BUCKINGHAM, ANNOUNCES DISCOVERY OF NEW LUMP VEIN GRAPHITE ZONE
Ashburton Ventures Inc. has released its latest outcrop sampling assay results and it has discovered a new lump vein graphite-bearing zone at its Buckingham graphite project in Southern Quebec.
A total of 18 outcrop samples were taken from two areas: (1) a newly-discovered lump-vein bearing graphitic zone located approximately 300 metres northeast along strike from the current drilling area and; (2) in and around the zone of current drilling.
New Lump-Vein Bearing Graphitic Zone Sampling
Nine outcrop samples were taken from the newly discovered location 300 metres north of the current drilling area and consist of a mixture of disseminated and lump-vein samples. Graphitic showings were sampled over approximately 80 metres in this area, including an exposure consisting of fractured pegmatite measuring at least 30 metres across and containing crystalline lump-vein graphite in fractures. Lump vein samples from this area assayed up to 68.0% Cg and sampling highlights from this area are shown in Table 1.
Drilling Area Sampling
9 outcrop samples were taken in and around the area of current drilling and consist entirely of disseminated graphite. The positive assay results in this area provide further evidence of continuity of mineralization between drilling locations and projection of mineralization identified in drill intervals towards the surface. Highlights from sampling in this area are shown in Table 2.
The company also wishes to update readers that assay results from the current drilling campaign are expected in early January."
Interesting comment about China. To improve air they are going into electric everything and will be buying a zillion tons of lithium soon. Plus lith is up in price. Not bad at all for prospects of this stock if they can just show a little good news.
Good or bad???? Like the warrants at .05----makes it look like they expect the price to go up. Plus people that accepted the placement must have been given some good news of some kind.
Funding completed for present exploration at Buckingham.

Only if the assays are strong
Am I right in saying 148 meters is a "big" find?
Given the past history of this company -and the disappointing past projects- There is a "prove there is a reason to have confidence before investors will take a position"
That is why I stress ASSAYS not Visuals that are positive is the catalyst for improved valuations. Cheap gamble down here-but still a gamble.
This stock really off the radar. Do not know the reason for such a lack of activity especially when the are halting trading every time you turn around (because of incoming good news), issuing PR's stating excellent drilling results, promising more of the same and there are 2 posters, no activity at all and if you or anyone can figure it out you are smarter then me. Above all, the bid is .005. Bidders do not even think it is worth a penny a share with a (VERY LOW FLOAT).
With everything that is going on here how can the bid be only .005?????
148 metres sounds pretty good to me. After all one meter is like 1 yard isn't it. That means their latest strike is like 1/1/2 football fields long. That really sounds good!!!!
So what does all this mean? Good or so-so. This stopping trading all the time looks sort of silly. What are they expecting to happen?
ASHBURTON HITS 148 METRES OF GRAPHITE MINERALIZATION AT BUCKINGHAM IN THIRD DRILL HOLE
Ashburton Ventures Inc. has encountered a final total of 148 metres of graphite mineralization in its third drill hole (BH15-03) at Buckingham.
Further to the company's press release dated Dec. 10, 2015, in which partial results from the third drill hole (BH15-03) at Buckingham were announced, the drill hole reached its target depth of 224 metres over the weekend, yielding a final total of 148 metres of graphite mineralization across the entire drill hole. The drill hole terminated in mineralization at 224 metres depth.
BH15-03 was collared 100 metres southwest of the original discovery hole, BH15-01. Disseminated flake graphite was intersected from 30 to 80 metres, and within the interval of 95 to 220 metres, a total of 98 metres carried disseminated flake graphite. Occasional narrow vein graphite was noted in the lower 100 metres of the hole.
The fourth drill hole at Buckingham, BH15-04, is now under way.
President and chief executive officer, Michael England, states, "The success of the first three holes drilled at Buckingham gives us so much information to work with and the fact holes one and three ended in mineralization makes upcoming exploration that much more intriguing."
About the Buckingham graphite project
The Buckingham graphite project consists of 28 claims located in ranges VIII and IX, Buckingham township, Quebec, and covers an area of 1,683 hectares. The property is located 1.7 kilometres north of the historic, producing Walker graphite mine and covers the northern extension of a graphitic zone beginning on Caribou King Resources' Buckingham property. Helicopter-borne magnetic and time-domain electromagnetic surveys located a historic conductor, and further resolved a second parallel conductor to a length of 300 metres (see Cavan release, Sept. 24, 2013). Historic airborne electromagnetic surveys have identified additional conductors striking over a large portion of the Buckingham graphite project.
The company wishes to advise readers that this is a preliminary visual analysis only and no assay results have yet been received. These intervals in this release are apparent thicknesses, true widths have not been determined as of yet. Further data are needed to determine true widths and will be reported once obtained.
The technical contents of this release were approved by Case Lewis, PGeo, director of Ashburton and a qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101.
Here again it has to be good news. Soon people will begin to notice. If you are going to take a position here now is certainly the time.
They said they sent assays to lab. Not sure how long before they get results, but would think if it isn't this week we will have to wait until after the holidays.
Do you think they have sent sample for assay results as yet? They keep saying they will but I can't remember if they ever said "they have".
The proof will be in the assays. If good should firm share price if poor NADA. Pays at these levels to take a chance. No guarantees.
People over a BullMarketRun think England may have something going here but do not seem to like England. Guess prior experience with other companies he has been associated with. He seems ok to me and is pretty good at keeping holders (even small ones like me) informed. I am looking for some info on hole #3 and assays results from #1 this month. If they are good news it will be a fun Xmas! Do think this could be a real winner or just another you know what?
ASHBURTON COMPLETES SECOND HOLE, STARTS THIRD, INTERSECTS GRAPHITE IN BOTH AT BUCKINGHAM
Ashburton Ventures Inc. has completed the second hole and is currently drilling the third hole in its drilling campaign at the Buckingham graphite project. The company also announces that it has again identified several broad intervals of flake graphite mineralization, as well as some veins, from visual analysis at both drill locations.
The Ashburton geological team reports that visual analysis now completed of the second and third holes (BH15-02 and BH15-03) which target a large anomaly identified by an airborne time-domain electromagnetic survey (TDEM) (completed by Cavan in mid-2013), has revealed similar flake and vein graphite mineralization as found in the its first hole BH15-01 (see PR dated December 1, 2015). This fence of three holes are spaced 100 metres apart and together span 200 metres along strike.
The third hole (BH15-03), which is still in progress at 136 meters depth (of a target depth of ~200 metres), was collared 100 metres southwest of the original discovery drill hole (BH15-01) and so far has intersected approximately 82 metres of flake graphite mineralization along with some vein graphite included. Flake graphite was intersected from 30 to 80 metres, and within the interval of 95 to 136 metres, a total of 32 metres carries disseminated flake graphite. The Company will be releasing more drilling updates as well as a plan map and additional photos in the near future.
The second hole (BH15-02), was collared 100 metres northeast of the original discovery hole (BH15-01) and targeted Trench 22C which previously yielded channel sample results up to 21.6% Cg over 14.5 metres (Cavan Ventures release, July 17, 2014). This hole intersected a total of approximately 46 metres of disseminated flake graphite mineralization from 48 to 62 metres and encountered further graphite mineralization from 106 to 116 metres, 163 to 173 metres, and 188 to 200 metres, where the hole terminated in mineralization at 200 metres. The hole intersected a relatively broad northeast-trending pegmatite dike, which, although being largely unmineralized itself, is believed to be the heat source driving vein-type graphite mineralization observed in some intervals of core in all three holes drilled to date. This pegmatite dike has been mapped at surface and appears to be localized around hole BH15-02 and tapers to the north, suggesting that holes drilled further north along strike may intersect lithologies more closely resembling those encountered in BH15-01. The intervals of pegmatite that were encountered will be analyzed for rare earth metals.
President and CEO Michael England states "This initial drilling program supports our team's prediction that the geophysical conductor is caused by graphite mineralization over a very large area, with three holes now encountering graphite mineralization over 200 meters of spacing."
Initial core samples are being prepped and anticipated to be sent within one week to the lab for analysis. The system is open on all directions and appears to be trending northeast along a distinct trend identified from the airborne TDEM survey and previous trenching. The company wishes to advise readers that this is a preliminary visual analysis only and no assay results have yet been received. These intervals in this release are apparent thicknesses, true widths have not been determined as of yet. Further data is needed to determine true widths and will be reported once obtained.
The Buckingham Graphite Property consists of 28 claims in Ranges VIII and IX, Buckingham Township, Quebec which cover an area of 1,683 hectares. Exploration on the southern part of the claim group has yielded assay results as high as 21.6% Cg (graphitic carbon) over 14.5 metres from channel samples and purity results up to 96.1% Ct (total carbon) from large flake fractions (see Cavan releases, July 17, 2014 & May 28, 2015).

There was a pr. More strikes and more promising news. Third hole now started. Nobody seems to care though.
Hard to figure what is going on here???
Hoping this attracts a bunch of new people.
Would think so, but we shouldn't have to wait long for the PR to be posted.
Halted pending news. WHOA---has to be good doesn't it. At these levels!!!
Cannot wait. If it is really good news it will be a gigantic boost at these levels.
Must be some positive reaction to last visual
cores Results of further drilling should be coming soon and TRUE assays should be coming as well.
"ASHBURTON AMENDS OFFERING
Ashburton Ventures Inc., further to its news releases of NOv. 6, 2015, and Dec. 4, 2015, has increased its non-brokered private placement to 14,767,000 flow-through units (previously 13,333,333 flow-through units). The price of each flow-through unit and non-flow-through unit remains at 1.5 cents per unit for combined aggregate proceeds of $321,505.
All other terms of the offering remain the same.
Don't understand why bid is so low. This stock has potential and real assets (land) in Sheslay Valley. Could be excellent news coming BEFORE the holidays (from both areas) and it does not seem to be stirring up any real interest. Could, under these circumstances go off like a rocket.
No, Sheslay valley is that new but yet proven area in Canada that everyone expects big hits from and Ashburton holds surrounding property on major players. GGIFF, and others expect big strikes (gold) and if they do Ashburton's adjoining holdings may be worth something. So far just Spec.
iS THIS WHAT YOU ARE ASKING-FROM THEIR WEB SITE

These guys might one day mention a little something about their holdings in Sheslay Valley. Not drilling or anything but they are piggy backing some very highly potential winners.
