I am now averaged in under 58 so its a long hold for me I like the company they just need to cut down their expenses as we get closer Q4.
Very oversold IMHO. We shall see.
Yeah, I am going to wait a bit and get some more. This is an irrational beat down and highly shorted right now. Fundamentals will eventually prevail and I am sticking with what most of the Analysts are saying and that this is a great buying opportunity. I first got in when this was at 6 bucks last year after a panic sell off everywhere in the Market. My only regret is that I didn’t buy more back then as I had the cash and bought other things that haven’t done nearly as well. I have been averaging up since on some of these major dips. A long hold for me.
Averaged down to 63.45 looks like betting stocks getting slammed. I normally don't play catch a falling knife but here I am.....LOL
Nibbled on some PENN down here at 65.65 may add if she gets lower. Good luck folks!
Monthly chart looks really strong for PENN!
Yes, I like that PT... Believe PENN could be past that by Super Bowl time IMO... GLTA
Yep, closed on “The Score” acquisition and initiated a “Buy” by Berenberg with a $95 PT. Has been upgraded to Buy by a few analysts recently.

CFRA LIFTS OPINION ON SHARES OF PENN NATIONAL GAMING, INC. TO BUY FROM HOLD
Today 3:12 PM ET (CFRA)Print
PENN's reports strong 2Q results (GAAP EPS of $1.17 beat by $0.21), highlighted by profitable reopening. EBITDAR of $587M increased 31% from 1Q and 38% from 2Q 2019 (pre-pandemic). EBITDAR margins nearly hit 38% (+400 bps from 2Q 2019). PENN also announced the acquisition of theScore, a leading digital media and sports betting company with strong in-house technology, for about $2B in cash and stock. theScore is the number 1 sports app in Canada and number 3 in North America, with a large and loyal customer base. We think this deal makes strategic sense as it complements Barstool Sports and helps PENN build a more complete sports media ecosystem, integrating sports, media, gaming, and technology to create multiple avenues for growth. This deal also helps PENN vertically integrate its tech stack, which we think could create structural advantages over time. We raise our 12-month target to $87 from $83 using a 2022 EV/EBITDA multiple of 10.5x. Our 2021 EPS goes to $3.60 from $2.43 and 2022's to $3.06 from $2.58.

Two completely different businesses. PENN has a better foundation due to brinks and mortar but that also limits growth. DK is at the forefront of a tech movement and clear leader in that space. What tech company doesn’t have cash burn during inception? The one thing we do know is that sports betting is a growing industry… period. Owning both gives you a barbell approach to the industry in my opinion
I like PENN here too. DKNG is in trouble and burning cash. PENN is profitable and expanding slow and steady.
Buying PENN on draft kings Hindenburg attack
On May 14, 2021, PENN announced that the Indiana Gaming Commission had approved its demand to offer online sports wagering in Indiana. Once live, Indiana will become the company’s fourth online sports betting market, following successful launches in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Illinois.
Shortsightedness. Missed 1st qtr revenue YOY, but that was expected, even by Wallstreet, since most of their casinos are still operating at 50% or less of capacity allowance. They rocked all the more important numbers.
So what was in the report that is scaring investors? It’s not like there was a run up in price prior to this earnings
Penn National Gaming Q1 EPS $0.55 Beats $0.29 Estimate, Sales $1.27B Beat $1.14B Estimate. Penn smashed it!
Penn earnings tomorrow before the bell. Buckle up!
Penn National Gaming to Launch Penn Game Studios
Mentioned: PENN
Penn National Gaming, Inc. (Nasdaq: PENN)("Penn National" or the "Company") announced today that it has established Penn Game Studios ("PGS"), an in-house content development team focused on creating exclusive iCasino content for its customers. To fuel this effort, the Company is acquiring HitPoint Studios, Inc. ("HitPoint") and its spun-off real money gaming company, LuckyPoint Inc. ("LuckyPoint"). The acquisition is expected to close in the near term, subject to the satisfaction of customary closing conditions.
"We are incredibly excited to be launching Penn Game Studios, which is another important step in our Company's evolution into the leading omni-channel provider of retail and interactive gaming, sports betting and entertainment," said Jay Snowden, President & CEO of Penn National. "We will now have the ability to create exclusive content for our audiences, further leverage the Barstool Sports brand and our database of 20 million mychoice customers, and create cross-marketing opportunities with our brick and mortar facilities."

HitPoint has been a frontrunner in developing platforms for real-time multiplayer casual mobile games and currently runs the day-to-day live operations for multiple games using their proprietary technology stack.
In 2019, HitPoint spun out LuckyPoint to focus on real-money game development and the creation and operation of a remote gaming server ("RGS"). In addition to traditional online casino table games and slot machines, the LuckyPoint RGS brings a variety of gaming styles to desktop and mobile devices, including retro-style arcade games and puzzle games.
"We are thrilled to be joining Penn National and bringing our expertise to the Company's interactive division," said Paul Hake, CEO of HitPoint. "We look forward to adding our creativity, design and engineering skills to an already well-accomplished team at Penn National."
