This one is under the radar here on ihub!! I bought 5000 when it dropped around a dollar after the r/s and sold today at 6.50!! Rode the wave but think it's coming back down soon, no reason that I can see for such a rapid rise!! All be careful at these levels on ors!?, IMO
I see the $32,000,000 reversal of accounts rec. bad debt allowance....I wonder why that occurred? How could the company and the auditor have made such a bad judgment in the prior period? This makes the EPS look higher than it really is.

nice move today the tech look very good looking for 3+ tomorrow IMO
Call: ORS, $1. S/O: 2.5 m, 52 week high: $14.5. It did 1 for 12 reverse split. So, Might be a good buy.
$1 = $0.08 pre-split.
12 for 1 reverse split to comply with listing rules(1$ minimum).started the day after rs at 1.13 .Ihub chat showing as a big gain but it is truly down 40 some percent . Don't really understand this one because they did rs to go above one dollar but their still not there? Glta
I think it was delayed reverse split that just happen, they did the reverse split to comply with market reg and avoid delisting. Usually they go right back down with out any meety news.
Any idea why this spiked? Only news I see is a delisting notice which would be contrary to this huge move...
I'm in, what a roller coaster!!!!!!!
no, but it is an operating system that they might could use in theire phones
Is the product from ORS?
hey, this might be good news for this stock

not sure, to me it look like it allready has happen
when does it split, this month?
has the split allready happen?
can this go? how many shares aproximately now ?
Finally something is moving here
Should we take cold comfort that Orsus is considering a reverse split to maintain its listing? Better that than closing up shop. At least it indicates the company wants to keep going and maybe, just maybe, their pricier 3G phones are snatched up. I'm going to call the company's IR rep in NY to see what's what. Will report back on this board to the sound of crickets.....
Something good was SUPPOSED to happen, and for some reason it did not. :(
Anyone have an inkling why ORS jumped 78 % today. Yes, it was only 11 cents, but on a stock down at 14 cents, that's huge. Don't see any news....
How is this possible? Over 90 000 000$ of accounts receivables from one distributor guaranteed by third party and a market cap of 13 000 000$.
The good:
Profitable... in control of debt... in a market with amazing growth opportunities...
The bad:
Revenue was sharply down recently... website mysteriously gone... R&D is very low... contract with only distributor expires in june 2010.
Why wouldn't that distributor bid on Orsus to clear the accounts receivables at a discount? Could it be that Orsus's management values the company higher than 90M and therefore, confident about future developments?
seeking alpha article;
Last week, Orsus Xelent (ORS) reported its third quarter results. The headline referred to an 8% year-to-date drop in annual revenues. But this is an exceedingly useless headline, for several reasons.
First of all, the first two quarters of the year have already been reported. As such, it would make more sense to headline third quarter data. But third quarter revenue was down 34%. The headline suggests a lack of candor from management and a will to sweep the latest numbers under the rug.
Still, for most value investors, I suspect the third quarter income data changes little in their valuations of the company. The mobile market in China was down some 30% this quarter, so the company's numbers are fairly consistent with an industry suffering from a cyclical issue. While infrastructure spending in China has kept GDP numbers high, consumer spending has left retailers dry, slowing down distributor orders.
Those who have read our previous discussions of Orsus Xelent will know what we are looking for: the management of its receivables balance. The company trades for just $20 million, but it carries receivables of $93 million contributing to shareholder equity of $55 million. The company has earned 20 cents per share in the first nine months of this year, but the stock trades for just 70 cents!
However, the profit numbers are rather deceiving: while the company continues to churn a "profit", it is not seeing the fruits of that profit in the form of cash from its main customer, which is a concern. And as a result of the slowdown in the mobile market, the receivables balance is going in the wrong direction. While the company sold $16 million worth of phones to its largest customer, the receivables balance to this same customer increased by $9 million! Not a great sign.
Of course, management assures shareholders that it believes it will collect on the full balance. If this is true, the company is deeply undervalued. The problem is, that's a big "if". The uncertainty of the situation going forward is a major reason why investors should be diversified; not every scenario with high upside potential will pan out.
Do these results lead me to give up on the company? Not quite. The company trades very cheaply compared to its assets and earnings (assuming, of course, you believe management is genuine), and the insurance the company took on the receivables does help mitigate some of the risk. Having said that, the risks to this company have increased with the increase in receivables, as the company's cash flow situation has become rather serious
What happen with the internet page???
I was just wondering if anyone had found any concrete information concerning the large accounts receivable balance? I have only seen it increasing over the past several quarters, which disturbs me as they are generating no cash from operations and have a low cash balance and high accounts payable.
I know there is a guarantee for a part of the receivables, does anyone know how large that balance is?
Also, I saw some insiders are selling shares in the company, I'm assuming it is the ousted CEO, is there anyone in addition to him selling?
Thanks for the help
Zack
Cool..... I just saw that.... been gone the past week or so.... just time to check on things and take off..... I'll be back next week a bit more and we can see where this may be headed.... Thanks! GL
I don't know if you y'all noticed but I added you as assistant mods...
... so if y'all want to change or add anything in the IBOX feel free.
What do we think here???? Maybe add some more...??? I'm going to watch today..... we need to be back over the 1.00 soon.....
I ran out of cash.....but still holding from .81 and put my last 150 bucks in today at 1.02 !!! LOL !!!!
IMO we look very close to breaking out once again. Perhaps today if not next week. Volume is around 100k in the first half hour and this is very good. Should have picked up more at .91 a few days ago. Guess i needed some cash(LOL)!
This whole company is unbelievable !! Im in at .81.... been enjoying this one so far..... Back up we should go... !!!
Book value vs. share price...UNBELIEVABLE!
I suspect the outed CEO was (is) selling shares daily...
...if true then he'll run out very soon IMO
Me too! I do have a pretty substantial investment with ORS. It is one of the few profitible china microcaps that should move huge IMO especially now that china is back on a growth pattern. The need for cell phones should grow proportionately with the increase in cars as westernazation comes to the forfront rather quickly.
The spike was interesting. A few red flags gone and this will go up. Questions about their accounts receivables are in order. If they have a genuine solid way to benefit from those dollars shown...no problem. It just don't look right. I'm watching and waiting for clarity...
Sure isn't looking good here. I absolutely thought with todays volume when I left around noon and 600k this was headed much higher. Don't really know what happen and did not get any responce to e-mail. Could have been the mm's knocking out all the stops. Will know more tommorrow...Steven
Not really sure when but very confident that we will see some follow-up soon. I've bought on 3 seperate days with an average of less than a dollar. With the 10 mil day trading we had momo players jumping in for the ride. After no follow-thru they have been jumping ship. My guess is the seller is the person/ institutions or whoever who bought the 6mil shares last month at .65 which makes for more than a 50% profit for a month. Or the other investor who is currently sitting on 2.5mil shares but sold 300k for about a .70 average. Currently been looking into who bought the 6 mil shares at .65 which should shed light into the unusually high volume. While it currently is clear as mud IMO things become very much clearer soon with a substantial increase in price. Fortunately earnings are due within 4 weeks and with a new CEO I expect to see additional product releases for X-mas. I;ve called the company and awaiting for a responce.
Do you think ORS is about ready?
We know when she breaks she will not hesitate much and will simply amaze everyone...
...just not sure when...
The right news is in the q2 10Q. It states that even though revenues are down they still expect revenues up for the year. Talked about a new product coming out which I don't remember what and they see profits higher. This could very well shoot straight up to $2 before the pullback. Today shall tell the story. With volume over 10x normal yesterday and no sell-off but a continual rise at the close says we go higher at the open. Just maybe there is a leak on some news? It appears the daytraders and momo players smell easy money here and aren't about to leave just yet.
Look at the RSI (14)
...will not hold all this gain but it is nice to see it go up anyway.
The right news will make this FLY!
Guess he's out! 44% woooohoooo!!!
well....alrighteee then! She's awakenethethethed!!!
I think ORS has gone to sleep...zzzzz.....
we need a red flag or two gone!
ORS .71 x .72 and I figure she is gonna break, either way soon. Thing is good support at .64/.65 but basically clear to .95 on upside, much better risk/reward to upside.
I hate to say it but it could likely be a few weeks before this skyrockets.
Patience...patience...
ORS will take a "sympathy" dip this morning...
...buying opportunity IMO!
