Optium Cyber Systems, Inc. ("OCSI") has developed a proprietary process to analyze then identify cyber security vulnerabilities in critical corporate IT infrastructure.
OCSI has recently launched a multi-tiered vulnerability discovery and reporting process designed for the health care industry focusing on hospitals, nursing homes and doctor's offices.
OCSI will assist in protecting these organizations from cyber threats such as the theft of patient medical records and manipulation of medical devices.

Optium Cyber Systems (OCSI) offers a suite of four related services to clients designed to identify and eliminate any potential cyber threat in a timely and cost effective way.  Once a threat has been
identified, steps must be taken to mitigateand remediate those threats, as well as to educate users as to their responsibility in reducing organizational risk. The services provided for each of these steps utilize existing industry leading methodologies and technologies to analyze, report, and then eliminate any cyber security vulnerabilities. OCSI will take on the responsibility of securing a client’s network infrastructure, freeing up internal existing IT staffers to focus on maintaining their infrastructure.

The US defense industry along with the global defense industry will likely experience a high rate of growth over the next few years as global tensions continue to rise in the Asian, Pacific, Middle Eastern, and other contested regions.

Optium Cyber Systems recognizes that every company involved in the US defense industry, large and small, is a target. Here is how we can help:

  •  Our Cyber Vulnerability Assessment (CVA) takes a multi-tiered approach to ferreting out vulnerabilities associated with information handling practices, computing platforms, and employees. Very often employees are the weakest link in many cyber security scenarios.
  • As a Managed Security Services Provider (MSSP) Optium provides continuous monitoring of your network and mission critical computing infrastructure. Once pernicious activity is detected, such as database hacking or surreptitious network scanning, our Security Operations Center (SOC) will inform your IT organization and quickly work to intelligently guide your originations next steps to protect your information and isolate the threat.
  • Cyber Security Consulting: Sometimes the efficacy of the best security technologies are blunted by functional, but inherently unsecure network and application architectures. We can help spot and guide to remediation these issues before exploitation and exfiltration of sensitive defense secrets occurs.

In 2015 the healthcare industry was the most attacked by cyber criminals according to the Cyber Security Intelligence Index published by IBM. This same report claimed that nearly 8 out of 10 healthcare institutions were hit.
To avoid risk, it must be identified. While conducting a required annual Security Risk Assessment (SRA), let Optium Cyber Systems (OCSI) show you what vulnerabilities exist in your environment and what to do about them. Maintain your HIPAA compliance and gain peace of mind by letting us detect what a routine SRA might miss: As part of our SRA engagement, we also conduct a Cyber Vulnerability Assessment (CVA) to locate hidden risks in your environment and we deliver a plan to help resolve any outstanding issues.

The mortgage industry faces significant risks in the cyber security space. The largest risk factor is the theft of personally identifiable information (PII).

Optium Cyber Systems consulting practice can uncover these risk factors; helping to protect your client's personally identifiable information (PII) from ransomware, hacking, and social engineering attempts.

International shipping is one of the oldest and one of the most important areas of global commerce. According to the International Chamber of Shipping:

“In its second quarter earnings report, Maersk executives said they were expecting losses between $200 million and $300 million. The lost revenue, they said, was due to “significant business interruption” because the company was forced to temporarily shutter critical systems infected with the malware.”

This is where Optium Cyber Systems, Inc can help prevent this type of costly activity.  Our cyber security consulting practice can uncover the many different types of vulnerabilities and other issues that enable threat actors and malware authors to successfully disrupt the shipping industry.

Cryptocurrency has a hundred percent electronic footprint and is secured via Blockchain technology. While Blockchain technology offers significant security; like all security mechanisms, it fails without additional layers of security around it.

A variety of reasons exists for cryptocurrency hacks. Some hacks are enabled by bugs in cryptocurrency software, hacked storage wallets due to phishing scams, DAO vulnerabilities, vulnerabilities in multigeniture wallets, website hacks, compromised contact lists, the reasons are numerous and seemingly multifaceted.

However, in all cases publicly documented, proper cyber security architecture, planning, and best practices could have prevented, or made prohibitively more difficult, the enabling hack and subsequent theft.

Optium Cyber Systems Inc offers a comprehensive consulting approach, combined with industry-leading managed security solutions, to greatly reduce the risk of operating in the Cryptocurrency market.
