Delete that post if you want... was only pre-BK humor? That audi65 moniker has been posting BK on Wahoo (several aliases) and iHub for some time, and also posts BK stuff on several other boards... Never heard of a "BK boiler room"...
16 cents hitting today...
Do they report earnings, so something on Monday the 19th?
Will buy some at 10 cents, if it gets there.....
Exceptional Earnings For Cheniere Energy Partners
Earnings reports can be a bit deceiving for investors and it is important to really break down the numbers and get down to the nitty gritty to truly understand where the company is at. How do you know if a company’s earnings are something to be excited about?

Nice bold move! Ha. Have you gotten a response back?
SD is a good looking pick. I've been watching this one for a couple months now.
Yes, there is a lot of penny speculation going on. I do enjoy this but try to broaden my horizons a bit too.
Well I came right out and asked him.......
http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=67148962
But since Jeff left, he went pink, and may not be making the $2 Million salary and bonus-
So could you blame him for being a little pissed off?
-------
I like SD-- Sandridge looks like a bit safer recovery than Cano
a sad note
the paucity of posts here brings a tear of sadness to my eye...
it appears IHUB degenerated to being the home of penny stock speculators....people who believe in portfolio balance and diversification as you and I do seem to be in a minority here
ADD a LITTLE Spice
Actually the 70/10/10/10 OIL/Biotech play I suggested on the other board RE X one million $ is for Warren Buffett and those competing with him on that Forbes List........the NO RISK way to play that for JOE MAINSTREET looks like this
KMP 99
SNTA 1
CLSN 1
THLD 1
and do it with $100 K.......five yrs from now if Im right you will have at least $ 1 M.....and if IM just a biotech pumper who doesnt know his ass from a hole in the ground you will still have about
$ 139K
you need to take your basis off the table as each biotech faces the FDA and move it to the next one in line
right now I expect that to mean CLSN--->SNTA--->THLD...but you have to stay on top of the news...any one of them could experience a timeline stumble which doesnt change the outcome but does change what you need to do when

Yes, I have corresponded with this user in the past and then still had not much positive feedback...

.18 seems to be over reaction to pf share non-payment, and crappy market?. BK is always possible, but think they would have done it already if that was the game plan?
You certainly have more insight than I do, and might be able to read the new CFO better on a phone call? You might ask why he went from a stable venture cap fund to a semi-BK oil shambles... after he stops laughting, he might fill you in... (only a suggestion)....
3 Small Cap Energy Stocks to be Bullish About
We are big fans of the small cap stock here at TKO. We are always looking for new small cap oil recommendations or picks. This time around, we didn’t have to look too far to find what we were looking for! Now, neither do you.

Thanks for the additional DD. I think that calling the management would be a great idea. Adding it to my list of things to do!
DD help on CFW?
BK is certainly an option, but "C0-2" on another board says...
"I think it depends on the value of the oilfields and the price of oil. If the banks/management are approached by interested parties, like Rancher was, then it maybe worth the risk to foreclose. If the "new team" wants to sell off some assets and reduce debt, that's certainly a possiblity.
The current production does not warrant a high price on the assets. 900BOPD @ 50-70K is only $45-63MM. Doesn't give the bank back all their money. Looks like to me the next best solution for the team is to invest millions to rework the wells and increase production They have over 150 inactive wells to address at Cato alone. But, then again that is what Jeff was trying to do.....just couldn't find a partner or more cash.
Co2 and waterfloods require alot of cash up front. But they do pay off. Look at DNR and EPM deal on the Delhi field. It's producing over 1000 bopd now. EPM is raking in the cash. "
-----------------
My take is that new mgmt team may have venture funding and experience to start the production that Jeff could not- and now don't have to pay Jeff's salary...
BK always possible, but think banks could make out better with a turn around, and now sitting on cheap capital to keep it floating for next 2 years........
JMHO--
Since you're more in tune with the sector, have you thought of calling new mgmt and asking some leading questions- to get a feel if they are going to invest? Sure they would take me for a newbie. Not wanting to post on CFW board, as there are always some who bought in March at 80 cents and not real objective at the moment...

Also not sure if .18 was a bottom of sorts, so have to see what next few weeks bring.
Big Oil Putting Folks Back on the Payroll
With the massive amounts of shale drilling, and the growing interest in industry of the oil sands, there has been great opportunity for the creation of new jobs. America’s economic slump has hit the oil industry hard, especially due to the Gulf oil spill and the reduced offshore drilling. Luckily the shale and oil sands boom has somewhat counteracted this.

What are number of banks doing with forclosure inventory? Keeping them on the books at cheap rates, and hope to sell them down the road for more? Beazer Homes, has actually started a rent program to generate some income from these unsold properties..
I wonder if Jeff's banks aren't just sitting tight because they might not get much now by forcing BK.
Fed policy has pretty much insured low rates (carrying charges ) for another 2 years, and QE3 will only devalue the magnitude of current debt? And oil will be more expensive in future periods?
(just WAS )..
Great questions. I would have to do more due diligence with this.
yes but current debt is in dollars that can be diluted, while Oil is in the ground and can be extracted and sold at a higher dollar value in the future? If dollars are cheap now, what happens after QE-3 (or what ever its called)?
I only wonder if the bank isn't forcing Cano BK now- in that they know reserves will be worth more at a later point, and have very low carrying charges right now to do so?
not speculating or predicting... but they defaulted almost one year ago?
10 Best American Gas Drillers

This quote seems some what circumstantial, don't you think?
CFW- what do you make of this post on Wahoo board?
"Debt--- then extend it, and pay interest from bank money,... bank interest is so low now. $15M revenue company(OIL) won't fail and banks won't reject loan. Why should they when oil peak is ahead in a few years."
--------
Bank technically own the company now? Then what are their "costs" ie. interest costs to keep it going?
Why bust up a going operation when it's "costs" are at Fed-"insured" rock bottom levels for the next 2 years.. Unwind some of Johnson's hedges and screw ups, and ......
During the latter Clinton years there was no gas shortage, and sheeple all drove Humonguse SUVs at 75 MPH and didn't care... Clinton had different tax strategy..
Gas shortage and energy price escalation only seem to happen when Republican oil interests are in the white house. Any names ring a bell?
Reagan even removed solar panels that Jimmy Carter had installed on the roof of the white house..........
next 5-6 years may see the wind down all the conservation? cheap natural gas to warm your rental unit...
my concern is that Cano will get bought up cheaply. But at this point any buyout may top 19.5 cents.......
Yea, we need to utilize all this natural gas we are producing. Think that will create peak nat gas?
watching CFW and picking some up on red days.. Probably BK, but you never know.. Nat Gas prices probably tied to economy like oil? but Democrats like cheap energy and tax by other means...
Are Peak Nat Gas Prices Possible?
Will natural gas prices ever go up? I think this a question that many of us natural gas enthusiasts have been asking ourselves recently. There has been talk of this for so long, but will it ever happen?
Find additional research here: http://turnkeyoil.com/2011/09/06/are-peak-nat-gas-prices-possible/
Thanks for all these updates. Keep 'em coming.
This is my personal point of view.
Assume you have also seen this:
Cano also released Natixis and its affiliates from claims related to the commodity swap transactions, the early termination thereof and Cano's Amended and Restated Credit Agreement. In connection with the termination of the commodity swap transactions, Cano must pay $3.65 million to Natixis.
In addition to being a party to the commodity swap transactions, Natixis is also one of the senior lenders under Cano's Amended and Restated Credit Agreement.
is that a cut and paste, or personal opinion/reflection?
today was quite red overall, and with CFW's "bad" news- might have expected major tankage, but held somewhat with 730K volume-
If was heading for BK, suspect that many more would be heading for the door today?
BK could release them from restrictive hedges, but might be more problematic for the banks to collect vs a workout, or refinance?
Have you any insight into new mgmt? looked kind of solid...
Was a bottom play and we picked up it around .25 + or _
I had higher ambitions for it early on but they realistically have not been able to overcome the larger issues.
Management changes since we originally called / played it also have made it a bumpy ride.
But our first call saw it run as high as .75 so that is 200%
At this point like that poster stated the debt / banks is the looming issue they could likely force into BK but naturally want to avoid losses.
So it is very spec now, however I really like their reserves and the upside potential but they are slipping more which is dropping the value.
So the key now is to watch for a technical bottom or any sign of a turn around. We still like the upside super spec aspect but I wouldn't pick any up just yet.
5 Oil Companies Dishing Out Good Dividends
Good dividends are always something an investor looks at when considering stock options. Often the larger companies provide stronger dividends. In the oil and gas sector, this is no different.

Chesapeake's Portfolio Best of the Best
Chesapeake Energy has been working hard to get their portfolio into tip top shape. The approach they have been using is to utilize unconventional plays and shale plays. Not too long ago people probably would have thought them crazy, but not at this point in the game.

Getting ready for a wave of coal-plant shutdowns
…Over the next 18 months, the Environmental Protection Agency will finalize a flurry of new rules to curb pollution from coal-fired power plants. Mercury, smog, ozone, greenhouse gases, water intake, coal ash—it’s all getting regulated. And, not surprisingly, some lawmakers are grumbling…
…CRS notes that many of the plants most affected by the new EPA rules were facing extinction anyway: “Many of these plants are inefficient and are being replaced by more efficient combined cycle natural gas plants, a development likely to be encouraged if the price of competing fuel—natural gas—continues to be low, almost regardless of EPA rules.”…
IMO and FWIW.
