What you think companies like Novartis just spends $800m upfront with $700m more contingent on milestones for a phase 1 drug(GT005) to treat AMD based on random numbers lol?

It is still a speculative play imo, we long an short stocks, it’s how you make money on the same stock every day, indeed they may be onto something huge, if of course the fda is on their side with their models, yes the pps could go way higher on a financing deal or a partner but in these early stages of a trial its very doubtful, there is only a handful of patients dosed at this time. For big pharma to commit to millions of dollars i would believe they want to be 100% sure of what they are getting into. Time will tell an GL to you either way you play it. And by the way, they are burning through their cash pretty quick.

There’s the problem about pulling numbers from a chart graph reflecting a pre rev bio during their R&D cash bleed stage.
Because what happens when the R&D stage yields great results and the company decides to bank off these results from selling regional rights, their cash runway all of a sudden overlaps their revenue timeline…
They then transform from a speculative bet to a bio poised to bring in billions of revenue yearly and the SP starts to reflect the pipeline’s fair value.
Here’s why $2.5 is laughable and only someone judging off the chart would predict that.
The risk adjusted Net Present Value of Ocu400 for just US/EU calculated with the most conservative numbers is worth 24x that market cap..
If the MENA region is even a fraction of the value of the US/EU market then this deal alone should be well over that $625m valuation.
Best part about all of it, is that this is just a fraction of Ocugens pipeline lmao.
