News out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WASHINGTON, D.C., Jan 27, 2006 (PRIMEZONE via COMTEX) -- Future Fuels, Inc. (FFI), a subsidiary of Nuclear Solutions, Inc. (NSOL), announced today that it has retained Regulatory Compliance Consulting, LLC (RCC), headed by Jack McCrossin, to direct a competitive bidding process aimed at selecting an operator to manage and maintain operations at its first waste-to-ethanol production facility to be constructed in Toms River, New Jersey.
A major component of FFI's business model centers on hiring an external operator or management company -- rather than relying on internal resources -- to handle all aspects of operations at its waste-to-ethanol production facility, including hiring and training personnel and meeting necessary regulatory, compliance and safety issues. FFI will utilize the expertise of RCC and Mr. McCrossin to evaluate candidate operators and also to oversee subsequent performance of the operator based on their extensive experience in project coordination, operations, supervision, management, and evaluation in the environment, health, safety, and security fields.
"We welcome the assistance of Regulatory Compliance Consulting in hiring an operator to manage our Toms River, New Jersey waste-to-ethanol conversion facility. The strategy we are taking in implementing our business model is intended to significantly reduce risk and is the best path to getting our first facility up and running in the most efficient manner possible. Most importantly, it allows us to focus on what we do best as a company -- namely bring together the necessary components, such as land, sources of feedstock suitable for conversion into ethanol, and the right technological process, to launch a facility -- while contracting out the day-to-day operations and management of that facility. We plan to use this same strategy at additional waste-to-ethanol conversion facilities at other potential sites across the country," explains FFI President Jack Young.
In addition to moving forward with the operational strategy for its facility, FFI is also close to releasing details of the technological processes it intends to use to convert waste to ethanol. FFI's strategy is to use technology building blocks that are already commercially available or proven. One of the benefits of utilizing such commercially proven technology is the ability to obtain performance guarantees on key subsystems, thereby significantly reducing the risks normally associated with the construction and operation of a facility of this nature. This approach to management boosts confidence levels not only in the success of the facility's operations but also in securing financing, including negotiating most favorable underwriting terms for FFI's $84 million bond offering.
When further details of FFI's technological process are unveiled in the near term, look also for the release of FFI's official Web site.
To date, FFI has secured land, environmental permits, a waste source suitable for conversion into ethanol, and preliminary approval for an $84 million bond authorization from the state of New Jersey to operate a 52 million gallon waste-to-ethanol production facility in Toms River, New Jersey. With today's announcement, other aspects of the business model have been rolled out.
FFI focuses on implementing technology to transform low-value, end-of-life carbonaceous waste materials such as waste coal, used tires, wood wastes, raw sewage, discarded corn stalks, and other agricultural byproducts into high-value, environmentally friendly, clean-burning ethanol. FFI's operations and financial results will be reported on a consolidated basis within Nuclear Solutions, Inc.'s public filings. Contact 202-536-4653 for more information about FFI.
Well, now I'm into NSOL at an average of $1.52 for 35k shares. Now I'm looking at picking up another 30k at around $1.26 and it won't go below $1.28 today....
Interesting Chart on NSOL below from an RB post
http://www.stockta.com/cgi-bin/analysis.pl?symb=NSOL&num1=57&cobrand=&mode=stock
Sold out of TKER yesterday at $2.50 after buying at $2.08 and now it bounced to $2.75-$2.85 Oh well. I thought it would drop to $2.36 today and I would buy in again. Then the news came out on their not needing a $20 mill. Line of credit….. IMO it is a $5.00 stock in the next 90 days if they buy some existing technology with the extra cash they raised.
Had 3 million shares of HPON at $.0013 and my orders kicked in at .0031
Also, BPUR orders kicked in at $.56 (still can’t figure out why it bounced today)
I’m rambling and it’s just another day. I may buy into this site after a couple of weeks. Thanks for the advice.
Have a safe and fun New Year and we will see what next week / year brings.
You got out too early. I had about 40k, got tired of seeing bounce from .25 to .15 and back like a ^&%(&^% yoyo. Sold at .26. BIG MISTAKE.
I quit RB as well some time ago. Too much P&D, slander, BS, etc. IH is much better. Pony up the $85 and you can get into the premium boards like DayTraders where only paid members have access. Very professional and NO fighting. There are a lot of good free boards, though.
I'm currently out of IOTN waiting for a pullback to the $10 area, hoping for 9.80. Perhaps today. I like that stock and think it will go to $40 over the next year.
Good luck and good trading.
I'm here, came in from Ragingbull which sucks now. to difficult to post and lack of maturity. Like NSOL a lot and thats why I own a lot. Got out a little to early in IOTN at $8.50 but it was a good run from $2n change. I think NSOL is ready for the same and I am also playing with TKER....

That rumor is news to me...but if its news about getting funded for their technology that would be good news as long as its not death spiral funding...
Letters to the Editor
Financial Times
letters.editor@ft.com
Sir,
Jason Huemer's “Hedge Row” column (The heat is on for funds' Pipe strategy, March 15), while having elements of accuracy in describing the past practices of a few institutions in the PIPE market, misrepresents the purpose and nature of PIPE financings. Moreover, the article inappropriately links BayStar to the abusive financing practices referenced by Mr. Huemer. Our funds have never taken part in toxic or death spiral convertible financings of any sort.
PIPEs, or Private Investments in Public Equities, are a legitimate and important financing tool for small and mid-cap publicly traded companies to raise capital more efficiently than with a traditional secondary stock offering. Furthermore, relative to the traditional secondary offering, these types of financings are often completed with less downward pressure on the stock price, less resulting dilution for common shareholders and meaningfully less use of management time and resources.
Mr. Huemer accurately describes a number of transactions completed a few years ago in which companies issued a form of convertible bonds with a resetting conversion price granting more stock to the investor as the stock price declined. The problems were caused not by the PIPE itself, but rather by the unusual reset provision, which led to massive short-selling when the stock price began to fall. These types of transactions are quite uncommon today, with simple issuances of common stock being today's overwhelming favorite transaction structure.
The BayStar Capital II Funds have never structured a PIPE with the onerous reset features described by Mr. Huemer – our firm specifically rejects that structure. In all its investments, BayStar works to be a partner with the Issuer and uses the BayStar funds to allow the Issuer to achieve its operational goals.
Linking BayStar to the practices described by Mr. Huemer is not supported by the facts and regrettably undermines the many strong partnerships BayStar has fostered with Issuers.
Sincerely,
Larry Goldfarb

I've been hearing rumors all day that NSOL is about to release news tomorrow, if not the day after. Although it makes sense that that could be the case, coz between all the terrorism and political sceanrio's and their stock price steadily rising, it would be smart to capitalize by releasing news. Anybody else hear these "educated rumors?"

Nuclear Solutions Statement: No Connection with E-Mail Spam Site - Cites "Internet News Bug"
Friday February 13, 12:37 pm ET
WASHINGTON, D.C., Feb. 13, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Nuclear Solutions, Inc., (OTC BB:NSOL.OB - News) issued the following statement:
It has come to our attention that a news story with the headline ``'Do Not E-Mail' Site a Scam, U.S. Officials Say'' is ERRONEOUSLY linked to our stock ticker symbol NSOL.
Nuclear Solutions has nothing to do with the web site in question, which is accused of ``spamming'' e-mail.
``We are in the nuclear technology business, specifically Nanotechnology, Defense, and the Environment. We do not engage in any business activities related to e-mail or spam. We are far too busy developing things like nuclear micro-batteries and methods to detect shielded nuclear materials,'' said CEO, Patrick Herda.
``The mistake stems from the fact that our ticker symbol (NSOL) is the same one that Network Solutions used years ago. Reuters erroneously issued the news story containing our ticker symbol (NSOL). Internet news providers like Yahoo, AOL and others automatically linked the story to Nuclear Solutions even though our name is not mentioned in the body of the story,'' he continued.
``It's what I would call an internet bug. Unfortunately, it exposes some of the issues that content providers have yet to deal with. We have contacted Reuters and are working on correcting this issue now and in the future,'' concluded Herda.

Nuclear Solutions Developing Advanced Portable Nuclear Weapons Detection Technology
Friday March 12, 9:15 am ET
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 12, 2004--Nuclear Solutions, Inc., (OTCBB: NSOL - News) announced that it is developing an advanced detection device to detect and localize the presence of portable nuclear weapons and shielded nuclear materials.
"We are developing a new and unique technology to be integrated into a passive primary portal system that would screen trucks and shipping containers in real time for the presence of nuclear weapons useable materials such as Uranium(U-235) and Plutonium (Pu-239)." said, Patrick Herda, company CEO.
The radiation emitted from weapons grade Uranium and Plutonium is relatively weak and easy to shield. This makes identification with conventional radiation detectors unreliable and in some cases not possible at all.
The company is working on funding the prototype construction of a highly sensitive, portable, low cost and ruggedized detection device that responds to minute gravitational gradient anomalies. These disturbances are produced by high density nuclear materials such as Uranium and Plutonium. Unlike radiation, the force of gravity cannot be shielded and is a unique new concept for the detection of shielded nuclear weapons. The company is unaware of any other device with similar target price/performance and size.
In order to engage government support for this project, the company has submitted a white paper to the newly formed Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency (HSARPA) and plans to submit a full proposal in response to their solicitation titled "Detection Systems for Radiological and Nuclear Countermeasure" (DSRNC BAA04-02) (More information available at http://www.hsarpabaa.com)
Disclaimer: A limited amount of funding is available under the HSARPA DSRNC program and is awarded on a competitive basis. There is no guarantee that we will receive funding for this program and that the program will be successful. The matters discussed in this press release are forward-looking statements that involve a number of risks and uncertainties. The actual future results of the Company could differ significantly from those statements. Factors that could adversely affect actual results and performance include, among others, the Company's limited operating history, dependence on key management, financing requirements, technical difficulties commercializing any projects, government regulation, technological change and competition. In any event, undue reliance should not be placed on any forward-looking statements, which apply only as of the date of this press release. Accordingly, reference should be made to the Company's periodic filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

I've been watching this stock for over a year. I saw it get pumped up by day traders from 0.07 to 0.35 in a week for no reason. The recent interest is obviously from the recent press release. IMO however, I don't think the press release says anything to increase the value of the company. From it, you may speculate that their technology will be developed and will get funding. This will be a long process however and day traders will sell the stock before any of this ever happens and cause the stock to dip. If your plan is to hold this stock, wait until it dips and try to get in under 0.15.
is it good to buy and hold this stock as of right now? i found out abt it on Friday, am thinking of jumping in on Monday. New to investing, so would appreciate some opinions on when to decide to sell/hold in a stock like this. Some people on yahoo board for NSOL are very optimistic abt it, based on their DD and disucssions. i would like a second opinion from people here.

What'r the opinions here?
one more question: based on the news and technology, does anybody think that say, within an year this stock could be worth a few dollars? if it sounds stupid, sorry.

The evaluation of white papers and proposals under BAA04-02 has been temporarily placed on hold. This delay is not anticipated to impact the funding or technical content of BAA04-02. A new schedule for this solicitation will be published on or before April 5, 2004.
Detection Systems for Radiological and Nuclear Countermeasure (DSRNC)
Description
The Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency (HSARPA) invests in programs offering the potential for revolutionary changes in technologies that promote homeland security and accelerates the prototyping and deployment of technologies that reduce homeland vulnerabilities. HSARPA performs these functions in part by awarding procurement contracts, grants, cooperative agreements, or other transactions for research or prototypes to public or private entities, businesses, federally funded research and development centers and universities.
A critical area of focus for Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is the development of radiological and nuclear countermeasure systems that improve our capability to address the threat of a radiological dispersal device (RDD), an improvised nuclear device (IND), or a nuclear weapon being used by terrorists within the US. DHS is implementing a comprehensive systems approach that emphasizes early detection and effective intervention capabilities at the Federal, state, and local levels, as well as post-event capabilities for remediation. Under the Detector Systems for Radiological and Nuclear Countermeasures (DSRNC) program Broad Agency Announcement (BAA), HSARPA solicits detector systems that will contribute to an overall system of countermeasures.

Technology Development Areas:
Nuclear Micro-Batteries
This program is aimed at developing embeddable nuclear micro-batteries that
can supply long-lasting power for computer chips, micromotors, remote
sensors, implantable medical devices, and other defense and aerospace
applications. This technology is also known as nuclear micro power
generation or RIMS (radio isotope micro power sources).
Tritiated Water Remediation (TWR)
Our TWR program is aimed at the development of a technology for the
remediation of tritium contaminated water. The target markets are U.S.
government and the nuclear power industry
Nuclear Material Detection
We have initiated a program to develop specialized sensors to detect,
identify and localize special nuclear materials. The target market is
homeland security.
Laser Nano-Machining System:
The Laser nano-machining technology focuses on system integration and
marketing of a laser machining system capable of machining features in the
nanometer range. The target markets are companies requiring manufacture of
specialized micro-machined components.
Gamma Laser System-photonuclear transmutation
This technology is focused on the development of a high-intensity gamma
laser as the driving element of a photonuclear transmutation reactor. The
target market for this technology would be the nuclear waste remediation
industry.
The company's plan of operation for the next twelve months is to raise
additional money, continue to identify, evaluate, research, screen, and develop
innovative nuclear technologies as resources allow. Some of the technologies we
evaluate originate through our own efforts and others are acquired from outside
researchers and institutions. We have limited cash available for operations.
Management favors assigning most of the company resources towards technologies
which have the potential for revenue generation in three years or fewer. From
time-to-time, in the interest of diversity, the company will evaluate certain
non-nuclear technologies that relate to its main areas of interest.
The criteria used in the selection of technologies is based on evaluating the
commercial potential of a technological idea and assessing the additional
research and development investment required to bring it to a point where it may
be commercially exploited within three years(near-term commercialization).
The company mainly assigns resources to technologies that meet our near-term
commercialization benchmarks. Selected technologies that do not meet our
short-term criteria are allocated resources as determined by management and will
be developed as long-term projects. Projects that management believes will take
longer than five years to reach the point of commercial readiness are considered
long-term projects.
All technologies selected by the company will be developed as compartmentalized
projects.
The company intends to generate revenues from joint-ventures, licensing fees, or
sales of individual technologies. As one example, license arrangement employing
TWR technology to treat stockpiles of nuclear wastewater may consist of
partnering with an environmental remediation firm that would acquire a
technology license to employ our proprietary process. The licensee would be
responsible for equipment manufacturing, end-user marketing, and operation.
Revenue for the company would be generated as a function of the revenues
generated by the licensee. Other examples would be: revenue realized for others
to incorporate, operate, manufacture, or sell our technology. We may also
realize revenue from the outright sale of any technologies we are developing.
In February, 2003, the company opened a business development office in Moscow.
The Moscow office is staffed by our Director of Russian business development.
The Russian office is responsible for identifying licensable technologies and to
secure additional research capacity in within the Russian academic and
scientific establishment as the need arises. The main goal of the Moscow office
is to contract with qualified research facilities assess and additional business
opportunities through the Russian scientific and technical infrastructure.

This has led to the need for studying mirrors that are able to reflect neutral particles. Our interests include studies of electromagnetic mirrors for atoms, consisting of largely detuned strong-field evanescent waves on the surface of a dielectric. In particular, we have considered phenomena related to the use of short laser pulses for the reflection of atoms. Theoretical studies of the dynamics of particles reflected by a short-pulse laser field have been carried out, showing the possibility of slowing down particles in a thermal beam through non-specular reflection. Due to the absence of spontaneous emission, such techniques may be useful for the manipulation of multilevel atoms and molecules.
In addition to the theoretical simulations, reflection of sodium atoms from a pulsed atom mirror has also been studied experimentally. The experimental setup, shown in Figure 5.1, includes a pulsed dye laser, a single-mode frequency stabilized dye laser for fluorescence probing and a collimated atomic beam. The anti-nodes of a standing wave laser field, formed by the pulsed dye laser, are used as atom mirrors. In this geometry, atoms are deflected from the beam because of the induced dipole forces

Nano-optics
(P. Ryytty, M. Kaivola and C.G. Aminoff)
The use of optical near-fields to study material surfaces is the most recent arrival in the class of scanning probe microscopies. The goal of Scanning Near-field Optical Microscopy (SNOM) is to push the resolution of optical imaging beyond the diffraction limit which dictates the fundamental resolution of classical optical microscopes. In the SNOM this is achieved by confining the optical field to a volume smaller than the wavelength of light and by measuring its interaction with the material surface. In practice this is accomplished by scanning a nanoaperture in close proximity to the sample surface. The topographic and optical properties of the sample can then be determined by measuring the optical intensity tunneled through the aperture. In this way, lateral resolution well beyond the diffraction limit can be achieved.
Compared to other scanning probe techniques the use of optical interaction provides some clear advantages

Our Technologies
Nuclear Micropower Generation
We are developing embeddable nuclear micro-batteries that can supply long-lasting power for computer chips, micromotors, remote sensors, implantable medical devices, and other defense and aerospace applications. The target markets for this technology are the nanotechnology, aerospace and defense industries. The program is based on three U.S. Patents (5,087,533; 6,118,204; 6,238,812), to which we have acquired license option rights.
Over the course of the next twelve months, we intend to further evaluate the technology and negotiate a joint proposal for development with a national laboratory under a CRADA (Cooperative Research and Development Agreement) or WFO (Work for Others) agreement. The cost to develop this technology will be determined upon completion of specific development arrangements with the selected laboratory. We will need to raise additional money to fund development of this program and intend to seek funding for this project from government sources. Although the nuclear micro-battery principle of operation was validated by an outside laboratory, this technology is a development stage technology. As a development stage technology, we cannot guarantee that it can be successfully commercialized.

Does anyone here know why NSOL has been moving so much the last couple days? I've been watching this stock for about a year now because I think the technology has great potential. There has been basically no movement the last couple months---now it triples in less than a week and I have heard no news.
