First things First : Its your Money that will be lost when they emerge from bankruptcy because you will Lose your shares !
Maybe this will answer some of your concerns about buying/selling shares of NWACQ .
Now when will this happen ? I am not sure but according to this release today that will happen in June. Knowing this , I am willing to play this one at this level but will play with only that which I can lose and not lose any sleep over !

NWACQ0.40, -0.08, -17.5%) said late Wednesday it has reached agreement with a committee of retirees to continue retiree healthcare benefits. Under the terms of an agreement that was filed with a bankruptcy court, retirees under the age of 65, who retired prior to Aug. 1, 2006, will be offered medical, prescription drug and dental coverage as part of the healthcare plan offered to Northwest's active employees. The retirees will be required to contribute 50% of the cost of their medical coverage and 100% of the premiums for dental coverage. Current retirees, who are 65 or older and are participating in a company-sponsored medical plan, will be allowed to continue through the plan offered to retirees who are under age 65. As part of the agreement, the retiree committee received an allowed unsecured claim in the Northwest bankruptcy case of $120 million. Eagan, Minn.-based Northwest, which filed for bankruptcy in September of 2005, is expected to emerge from Chapter 11 in June of this year.

I do not know but just bacame a shareholder
this board does not have many people that post
Anyone know if the company is going to cancel shares and apply for a different exchange? Please any ideas appreciated!
they should, IMO.
Is NWA releasing quarterly financials??
This month?
Eeee..I 'm not sure. Are they doing what Delta is doing? In that case, perhaps buying NWACQ right now is not a good choice
When are the shares getting cancelled? When are they finishing up the Bankruptcy?
Time to load up on these stocks! I remember when they were at 38 cents, then sky rocketed from there. Anyone else loading up?
Yes will be shares cancel , it made the run already so if u want to buy do it when issue new shrs.
When NW comes out of Bankruptcy, all shares still get cancelled right?
That is what it said on the Northwest Airlines web site last I checked.
OVER 5 MILLION SHARES TRADED YESTERDAY UP OVER 10% AND CLIMBING STILL TODAY
Just rated the FIFTH BEST AIRLINE in AMERICA...This thread should respond a little perhaps... UP HUGE TODAY SO FAR!!!
I would parachute out but were flying too low.
I read this same thing back in November when I sold all my shares....two weeks later, it was well surpassing the $4 year target
It seems like it's gonna take much longer to emerge from the bankuptcy due to the strike and subpoenaed due to the cargo price fixing. Gotta take that CEO out of the office. Asking all investors and workers sacrifice but himself and mgnt. IMO
Anytime a company enters Bankruptcy, they can cancel shares. Here's everything you need to know.

I like them 787's that northwest is getting before anybody else.
But that's not all ;)
How can they possibly cancel shares? If they do, they'll get sue along with judge. Won't you? if you have invested millions dollars into this company and the company's saying cancel shares? what a joke! IMO
stokednvegas Ya u like airplanes but not this one
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN this is your captain speaking, were going to have to make a crash landing so put your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye!
NWACQ will be worthless in a few weeks. According to Northwest's own investor relations web site the stock will be canceled when the reorganization plan goes into effect, so when will that be? Probably when they come out of bankruptcy and last I hear they still plan on coming out in the second quarter. So we could have worthless shares within a few weeks as people start to cash out. It took me 10 minutes just to cash out 1k shares today at .70. I don't expect this to be an orderly sell off, once the ball gets rolling everybody could wake up to a gap down that is 90% less than the previous close.
This is why the hedge fund holders bought into NWACQ.
These 787's are still scheduled for delivery>>>http://www.bizjournals.com/twincities/stories/2005/05/02/daily52.html
UP 25% !!!!!!!!!!!! BIG STUD MUFFIN GOOD LUCK TRADING LADIES AND GENTLEMEN

There's still some play here,
Pilots at NWA have been telling me "things" :)
Looks like it is almost back to its November prices...
This stock just had a huge run, then a major bear trend swung in. This is one to watch...who likes airplanes???
looks like someone needed to follow KMART closer....haha ($3-$60s+ before SHLD bought it for hundreds of MILLIONS. j/k but .....any way...this board is about NORTHWEST(not"K"... please bring INTELLLIGENCE WITH YOU NEXT TIME YOU STOP IN PLEASE...IF NOT AT LEAST A POSTIVE COMMENT or POSITIVE FEEDBACK.(negative comments will usually be deleted! unless on topic of course)(KMRT would have been a GREAT STOCK TO TRADE! I WISH I TRADED BACK THEN 3-4yrs back)(just played LONG TERM big caps)
When Bankrupt northwest emerge from Ch 11 their shares maybe Cancelled and Worthless like K-mart.
