twisting coconut tree didn't work, all others opened.
can't speak for everyone, but I'm certainly enjoying them. Just wish they were a tad larger.
Thx for sharing
DB
yes..look good!..kind of smallish though..
Your bull makes Kansas look small is horn size mattered LOL
Are you able to see pictures from my first three messages?
Dalcindo..here's you a little TN bull near my house..
Horses and Barn in Kansan Winter
Old Barn and Cattle
I have to admit that I cheated on this one. I blew over the lens, waited for the right mist density to dissipate, then took the shot to give it a morning mist. Oh, well, cheaper than a Nikkor special effect lens.
Thanks for the opportunity T4 and all.
Now, let's get back to Kansas, shall we?
Bull and Its Kansan Bovine Entourage
Moon over Sunser in Kansas
I hope that I do not clutter the board with boring pictures. Let me know.
Twisting Coconut Tree
Tahitian Preparing for the Traditional Annual Pirogue Race Tournament. That's from Papeete to around Moorea and back. Ouch!
Shot of approaching storm which kept us inside the house for the next week
Storm clearing
Some more French Pacific shots
A "Motu", or tiny island, usually easily accessed by walking. Coral reef here stretches by quarter to half mile waist-high.
Early morning hours in Tahiti
Finally learning something new. Thanks T4M and others for the past lessons. Here are a few shots taken during vacation in the French Pacific
Flowers on Moorea Island
(By the way, if you guys are looking for a cheap way to Tahiti, let me know. Same thing if you are going to France, especially Paris, where I was born.)
View of Moorea by plane
So don't have any specular shots for the day, just a few snapshots.
"specialized crop duster", I see NAVY word was printed on the wing
Dave, this pic is very clear and very bright.
We have a season pass and took the kids to this place today:
http://www.carowinds.com/
I'll see if I can post some pics I took today.
forget that last question.
realized it is a point and shoot!
Keith
while I'm here..here is another pic I took today at work..
a still shot..camera @ highest quality setting..
zoomed up just a little..
not shooting thru my sunglass lense or anything..
(although it may have been even a better pic if I had)
(there's even interesting things in drainage ditches..LOL..)
no..a picture I took holding sunglasses out in front of my camera lense..
looking thru one half of my sunglass lense
do you have a filter on the camera?
polarizer?
blue sky?
Keith
I snapped a pic of this plane today..kind of unusual..
for a military plane..like a brightly colored Lear jet
with 'things' sticking down from under the tail area..
don't know what they are..some kind of specialized crop duster?..air show plane making smoke?..LOL..don't know..
likely, the guy said everything is in the box.
opened only for a few pictures.
Keith
mine came with a cable and software..I should think
yours would too..surely..
I had an idea yesterday for a test..I took my
sunglasses that block glare(PolarOptics 100% block of UVA/UVB light)..and took a picture thru one lense of glasses..
kind of half and half at our parking lot at work..
makes a difference..
I can see why people use 'filters' and such..
Likely to need an upload cable(probably can get
from a camera shop or online?). or from Nikon.
do I need a AV Hook-up cable too?
Keith
Keith..you got a good deal!..Way to go!..they're pretty
tough little cameras too I found out..I dropped mine on pavement
the other day accidentally as I was pulling it out of my pants pocket (to get a picture of a plane
coming in over work ) when it hit the pavement the battery door flew open and batteries went flying over the parking lot..
but except for some road rash it still works great
:)
Coolpix 3200, via ebay--MINT CONDITION(seller
has a 100 percent rating), is on its way: $146 for it.
Keith
"If I hide behind these leaves..the guy on the porch
will NEVER see me!"...
LOL..a hurried shot & optical zoom 3x..
Keith..funny you should mention macro..
my camera does seem to really shine on macro setting (closeup) stuff..fwiw..
it'll take a pic of your finger print like you wouldn't believe..
I show you what I mean tomorrow..
headed to bed now..
GNite!
FOUND IT on www. epinions.com
just ordered it!
for around $174.00
Keith
anyone know where I could find a new 3200 Cool PIX..
seriously! for my wife...
just looked at the sample comparison(actual pictures)..
on www. imaging-resource.com
really, really good Macro features and profiles..
Keith
Source I like for new cameras(including NIKON):
www. imaging-resource.com
Keith
I like mine because of it's size..
I carry in my pants pocket for quick, impromptu shots..
like a pack of smokes..
not much bigger..
very good bang for the buck..all around..IMO
I think they call it a 4000 or 4200 now..(4.2megaPixel)..
you know, about 1 year or so ago, I was at Best Buy(don't
usually buy there)and asked about the 3200 CoolPIX...they
said it was out of circulation....just missed that one!
not sure if you can find that one anymore, or there is
a replacement model for it.
Keith
Thanks Keith..it's just a nikon CoolPix 3200 the wife got
me for wedding anniversary last June at Walmart..(2004)..
the last one they had at the time matter of fact..
they knocked 50 bucks off and give me extra batteries because it was their display model..
$200
:)
you've got a nice camera or cameras there!
all your picture turn out very good, if not darn right
excellent! good color, good resolution...very nice images.
Keith
Tim..heck no..my little office in the plant..
That runway view is from climbing up, and being on top of, and taking picture from, our SILOS..
these are our newer silos..we almost didn't get airport clearance to have them built..had to keep them under 100 feet tall..these are 96feet..
Is this where your office is located? Wow, that's very nice!!
Lieutenant, thanks! I hope your Internet connection is getting back, you missed some serious winners for the past week or two.
This is probably about as close as I'm going to get
to this underground yellow jacket nest I found in my yard this evening while weed-eating..it's a wonder I didn't get stung..
Tim..view from atop our silos at work..airport runways..
and the Thunderbirds coming to Chattanooga in October..
I should have one of the best seats in the house..LOL..
T_4_M, I want you to know the lake and ducks are absolutely beautiful. Talk about peace of mind.
yep! love those freebies!
thanks.
added to my favorite.
Keith
Keith, if you're looking for photo editing tools, why not try some freebies first?
