I was just running some scans and came across LZB.. Same exact scenario as us, but for only two days.. They closed LAB down .15 cents though..

the thing is...trades can settle after 4 for same day(few minutes after)...but this is too obvious--not enough volume...and the 5 points.. plus the trade size is blatant

it comes after a pre/post market trade....so who is the chump that can't get it together..eh?

the trading program i used today ....lagged all day--started @ the opening(real screwy)--that last trade was crap.....seems as though something was glitched somewhere along the line..why that cleared so late(5 minutes)...should have been running my other ones along with to see if it was exchange related

MOD is interesting...

MOD was brought to its knees to .75 because it violated covenants for its debt and therefore the market was contemplating that MOD could go BK.

Completely understandable and rational in this market.

What is not rational is there has only been a slight rise in MOD's stock price after renegotiating its debt.

MOD's interest rate on its debt has increased so that the payment on that debt has increased from $13 mil to $27 mil yearly.

That difference in yearly debt payment obligation is offset by MOD eliminating its .10 dividend to shareholders per quarter. (or $13 mil a year).

Not awesome...but a pretty nice position to be in with this much incoming cash flow. And especially since the EBITDA covenants have been substantially lowered.

Management has said there is a $10-$20 million cushion on those covenants. Combine that with a new combined line of credit they can access (up to $150 million if they need it) and the strongest cash position they've been in for years, yes, MOD will survive in this recession but more importantly, they'll THRIVE once we're out of it.

Lower commodity costs, less employees, less exposure to currency market discrepancies due to international plants vs. stronger USA dollar, unloading inefficient segments of its business, etc

So why is there such a small pop in price?

I would think MOD would be closer to the $3-$5 range. And I guess Baird agrees with this assessment since his upgrade today and target of $3.

Anyone wise enough to get in MOD these days is going to make a killing in the future.

USA/European plants are being closed and cheaper foreign plants are coming online.

Anything below $3 is a buy imo.

We have EVERYTHING in our favor.. Price is appreciating in a HORRIBLE market (wait until we see a market rally).. Institutions buying.. Recently upgraded.. Earning were better than projected.. NO possible chance of BK..
