There are a lot of factors here which we cannot know the details to and there are several outcomes here. I bought more shares since the drop as a gamble, and a big gamble it is.
oh ok. are they going to pull out of this and return to normal after this proceeding... because don't they have enough revenue to stay in operation?
You can still buy and sell
trading halted and its still kicking? LOL
I made money here, go play with someone else.
Whenever gold is no longer traded in paper junk but real gold then the manipulation will come to a halt. But that will probably mean east is taking over and west is no longer leading the world.
well spend those juicy profits well guys.. LOL basically all mining stocks are dragging the ground now for whatever reason, BK here then another BK there and in the making in between. will things ever get back to normal.. yikes
Nice dream friend :)
just a dream, was pretty good dream though, all of us here were celebrating huge profits beyond our wildest expectations! he!... :)
Dont think we would benefit from a takeover though
ya, i also take some consolation from Jesse Livermore at the moment, he lost his fortunes more than once, but he carried on and is remembered for his successes :)
hey :) ya, guess i should be glad to have sold a few at 2 cents. still have most of them now valued at .003, i mean 002... he.... had dream last night that there was a surprise takeover bid and the stock shot to 1.40, gosh i was not happy to wake up! :)
Jesse Livermore ,Paul Tudor Jones, Elli Tullis, Richard Dennis, these are wonderful examples of powerful traders from which to learn. The CME group, NYSE, CBOE, NASDAQ, NADEX, NYMEX. Many of these provide free education. I am merely Keyotee. Trade Well!
Trouble is we need $1500 gold not $1000 like we seem to be heading for. Still no idea what the $500 mill debts are all about
I think if they by some slim chance in hell were to get back to the pinks we might get a pop
Maybe with reorganization it will bounce back like a shiny gold nugget?
RIP midway gold LOL omg
move on LOL i lost too.. LOL
Seems to me many more losers than winners in this. Brent Cook says these NI reports are notoriously unreliable and we sure found that out. I was guilty of drinking the corporate kool-aid on this like a lot of others. Safe jurisdiction, 1m oz ready to production, etc.
I learned a lesson with this although I am not quite sure yet what it was.
Anybody can say anything. I was pushing you around to see if you push back....
I'm looking for insightful minds that can push me; for whatever reason you stood out....so I posted my only position and 2 others that probably should be,
"At present" my portfolio says I suck at this game! So I am looking for others to make me better....and the best way to gain trust in this social media universe is to throw a freebie and follow it with honesty and transparency....I need help to improve
Do you know gambling theory and other topics?
wow 100,000 shares of that now worthless paper.
Look, I'm a suspicious a-hole. It's what I do for a living. That being said, this is my opinion only...
Looks to ME like they tried to cover up gross negligence on the part of Gustavson and co, hiding reality - or hiding from - every step of the way to try to get this thing to work. Kinda like when you're dating an absolute psycho and still love her and want to make it work.
Or, just MY opinion, this mine will actually work. Or the property next door will work, or a property within reasonable transport distance will work well and be profitable. And they will cloward-pliven the place. Nutshell? crash it intentionally in order to rebuild it the way you want it. with no shareholders other than the complicit investors and management.
That's only MY opinion. Either they screwed us thru extreme incompetence on several levels, or they stole it from us on a slick move. But, that's just my opinion, and not worth the close to 100K shares I hold. And those aren't worth anything more than the turd the cat just left in the litterbox.
We got porked. But, we stood to make a killing, and I'm ok with that. Not the first time I went to the casino and put it all on black, and not the first time it came in red. Won't be the last either.
Another question is: how do they manage to keep it off the books?
I have the same question. There was an article I posted a link to where it said 'could owe up to $500 million' but another analysis where they were holding to 10c a share guidance before the BK, based that on financings to date.
another question is: how do you hide 500 mill debt in the books??
What i dont understand is how in the world they managed to get into debt to the tune of 500 mill
tomorrow a dollar!
how I wish we were still seeing the possibility of a buck... so, 500 mil in debt, we will probably see nada, and with the drop in gold, which looks like at least a short term trend, we're porked. See you all on the SA board, at least that's better run
hey Bob. does not look like this will be withdrawn. then again if it is it wont matter to us common shareholders since our shares no longer trade but on the shitty Grey market
wow was once $1 not its in the .00's LOL
morning aj. think you sold at the current top ;)
also I think we've had our small spike back to 2 cents already and now is down from here into oblivion
LOL pretty much i guess LOL
Agree with texas. Shareholders money are gone
Moosey, I think Midways shareholders are done. Oh, there may be a small spike, but that is all. Also, I think keyotee's ideal that for every looser there must be a winner is pure bull. Think about it for a second or two and you will see his error in logic... on to the next play.
so in other words its over for this company.. chances of revival are none?
Saw that. Thanx
Responded to you and sent post to me.
Very simply the nature of trading dictates there is always a winner. For every buyer there is a seller and vice versa. For every winner there is a loser. If I had been able to post that day , I would have warned of what I saw to be happening, maybe I could have saved some from losing. That is one of the only times I wish I had had unlimited posts. I feel as though I let some down. This was not my trade idea however, I followed others here to trade. Trade well!
Care to elaborate? Always appreciate ur thoughts
Maybe for some, however ,not for all!
Midway Gold Gamble Lost
The quality of those guesses often vary by the size of the mine and which company is behind it. According to industry watchers Midway was run on a comparative shoe string and there was little margin in the company reserves to allow a slower than expected start up.
Industry analyst stated that Midway had no where near the deep pockets that Newmont or Barrick has to develop a property. Yet even for the big boys gold mining yields far more misses than hits and it is still a gamble.

***We've all been there.***
I was in MDW and sold at a loss a while ago.
Substantial loss too... around 50%.

I know your's are a lot larger but as I said
We've all been there...
Before I learned how to trade well and do DD on my investments.
I bought a basket of dry bulk shippers in 2009 & 2010...98% losses there.
I believe there are some good opportunities out there.

this is pretty much over LOL looks like
This entire delist stinks crap. Tsx and findra did not play by the books
How do you mean, " No capability to buy or sell shares even though this is trading on the pinks or greys or wherever it is trading."?
My broker trading desk saw bid/ask by $0.001 by 0.01 and inquired if I wanted to place an order.
Well it is very interesting that you cannot buy any shares even though it is trading. So, all the trading is probably MM's closing out their shorts.
Yes, there is a HUGE insider trading and class action lawsuit that can be filed. First, the deceptive announcement of bad news implying that things were bad but life goes on- then at the end of the same day, a Chapter 11 announcement.
12 million shares traded after hours on that day.
No capability to buy or sell shares even though this is trading on the pinks or greys or wherever it is trading.
A rich history of the TSX being the most corrupt and known hoster of scam stocks in the world.
After the short positions are closed, we should know if MDW will come back. However, it will probably just roll over into Chapter 7 liquidation. And that will be to launch the assets to four corners of the universe to make a clawback or lawsuit financially non-viable.
Probably the biggest crook of all went to Luna Gold to perpetuate book cooking over there.
I lost some money here but nowhere near what people must have lost if they didn't get out since September of last year or so- waiting for the upswing in Gold which never came.
Not only a shorter's dream but IMO also worthy of an investigation of events leading up to the Ch 11 filing, including shares dumped just prior to the announcement. Seems like insider info crap to me. I don't think this was set up to fail but might have well been the case the way its turning out :(
