Agreed. But. A lot of buying a h. The word Microsoft in call has people riled up. Think I’ll buy 5000 shares in morning. Think I’ll join team again. A close friend who has goog info on the company called me tonight. I’m back in
How in the world is this company still over $1B market cap lol
But look. Lo and behold. Stock up ah. It’s a miracle
LOL Howard, you are a broken Record. Sumit just said, MICROSOFT using Microvision chips in HOLOLENS 2. First time saying Microsoft using the product.
Did you listen to call?. Call was offline. Totally out of control during disclosures. Guess that confirms what Charmin produces. Losses. Losses losses. You got a problem with a company you invest in and. Losses losses losses losses If that’s good for you you must live in a tent
Atta Boy Howard... keep dissing the company. Did you notice the 135 Million in CASH?? Did you notice that companies who received the samples are saying good things? Did you notice the increase in REVENUE? For some reason, Revenue keeps increasing. Wow, wonder what that means!!! Could be that the line purchased by "an unknown company" is selling really really well. hahahaha
Guess not, cause you were too busy looking for something NEGATIVE to post, right?
Net loss 15 mill
That is huge loss compared to what was expected
Well. Looks like everything as usual. No Changes
Thanks for making my point.
Pat
Bought 1.27. Sold 19.40. Got a problem with that? I didn’t. But. The ceo is a loser. If he made money he would be a winner I did make money. Shame people getting sucked in. Shame. Think Charmin is going to open an office in Figi.
Btw. Sinking after hours.
Don't worry about Howard. He's just having fun with forum members. When the pop in share price happens he'll proudly chirp that he got in at the lows. If I recall, he used to regale us with tales of how he was a former holder who sold at the highs. He's an amazing timer. <G>
Pat
I’m doing extremely well actually. Only two of my holdings of 15 stocks are bad. One I’d MVIS
Aapl
Amzn
Goog
Tsla
All doing pretty pretty good.
This garbage stock was one of the two that made me a little money. Sold I believe at 19.89
But. Will keep advising newbies. They made a big mistake investing in a money losing company with no positive direction
Have a great day
There are no more Quarters in any potential pockets. There is nothing to see in the window. Shut the doors. Stop bleeding. Taking a few dollars from new holders who really have no idea what this company is doing. Check last 50 quarters. That should awaken them
Simple. All news they put out makes no
Revenue
Earnings
I will never stop till this CEO is thrown and and someone who can
Make money is at helm. Persistent negative is not a positive direction.
You weirdos have no idea what this Charmin ceo is doing. Or not doing
You may have picked the wrong stock, if you expected substantial and consistent gains from this company in the past or even at this moment.
IMO, this opportunity has yet to be materialized.
MVIS's technology is futuristic.
Well Howard, lets see....
Some company thought enough of their chip to BUY the line, run it themselves, and PAY MVIS for every chip they make. Score one for MVIS.
They have produced working models of LIDAR, given samples to car companies, and have heard good news that they WORK. Should mean orders coming in, in the near future. Score another one for MVIS.
Hired a guy to run a new office in Germany... Must mean they have some potential business in GERMANY...and the Middle East. And they are going to some kind of trade show in the Middle East area in Sept. So Score another round for MVIS.
Now to your incessant point of they spend money and don't make any...well, building a house, you spend TONS of money before you move in...and get nothing for all that money until the house is finished... MVIS is in the same boat.. spending money to make..CHIPS that A COMPANY loves so much they bought the whole line to run it themselves... seems that was money well spent. I could go on, but you know.. I'm positive on the stock and seems you just want to trash any NEWS that they put out..
Most manufacturers are is the same boat when it comes to supply, look at the Chip market for cars/ trucks.
My industry was 7-14 days, now 12–14 weeks, we all have to adjust.
Based on what we can see right now, it would appear that MVIS is in need of a substantial amount of money for SOMETHING. Based on where they are bringing their long range lidar sensor to market, the best and most logical guess is they need cash to secure manufacturing and supply chain commitments. What that suggests is that there is feedback on the early sample units and verbal commitments to orders once more in depth testing and validation is complete. With the mess that is the global supply chain right now, that means that for fall orders, MVIS needs to get things sorted out NOW to be able to deliver in any sort of reasonable time frame.
Tell me you'd be happy putting in an order and being told "Fantastic, we'll get right on that. We should have your parts in 6-8 months" rather than "Once we have signed orders we can have you the the parts in 6-8 weeks."
Something else to consider -- MSFT has been producing the display engine parts of the HL2 product after buying the production line from MVIS. They are about to ramp up production for IVAS deliveries using that production capacity. Are they going to just tell customers that they'll have to wait several months for the most successful AR product being used across dozens of industries? Not likely. I'd wager that MSFT will use their in house production line to meet IVAS commitments and order additional parts from MVIS to continue HL2 production.
Unfortunately this is not likely to hit the balance sheet for this reporting period and we will see what appear to be more disappointing results at first glance, but it is clear that the company is confidently moving along the road to increasing revenue for those who can be patient for a few more quarters.
Europe and the Middle East to be more specific, along with a long time industry insider who has successfully worked closely with half of the car companies in Europe. This provides proximity to some of the largest premium automakers in the world, along with some very interesting AI/autonomous vehicle projects.
Yes, expenses going up and that is a good thing. This leadership team has been very careful in where they spend their money, and have demanded results from the money they have spent. To see them spending this kind of money makes me very optimistic for the future of the company because they believe they will get a solid return on their investment.
For anyone absolutely set on a merger, you may end up being disappointed. For the past 6 months or so the company has been positioning themselves in a strong position to remain a going concern, and this just adds to that foundation. A deal is still quite possible and it is easy to imagine how the pieces fit together, but less needed to add shareholder value going forward.
Sorry to say Howard, but you have become painfully short sighted and closed minded and it doesn't suit you. If you have any shares left, just sell them on the little pop this week and be done with it. Find something you like better -- there are a lot of great opportunities out there. Find something that doesn't frustrate you -- there are a lot of boring companies that you know exactly what will happen and when.
What opportunities?Holders waiting for years. Company just does one thing consistently
Lose Money
"Expenses going up"
So are the opportunities!
Only good news for holders is
Earnings up
Revenue up
How is MVIS doing. Answer all holders that
Atta boy Howard, you and Debbie Downer should get together. All you are concerned about is how to push the price of the stock down. Maybe look at it in a different light? There is a REASON they need a German office? And somebody to run it? Oh wait, CEO said he's happy with the progress they are making with OEM's? That's GOOD news, just in case you were wondering.
Mvis in Germany? Expenses going up
Couple thoughts...
First, they haven't announced earnings date yet, so it is almost certain to not be in 12 days as I believe they need to give 2 week notice, so that is definitely a rumor.
As for a drop in sales... the bears are already screaming no sales, no product, so how can sales drop if they claim there were none to begin with?
Royalty revenue is linked to MSFT's HL2 sales, and possibly to IVAS as well (however that is less certain as management have indicated that the license was for a single assembly for a single product meaning IVAS very well could be under a different and hopefully more lucrative agreement). Microsoft HL2 sales continue to look robust, so I would imagine royalty revenue to be in the same ballpark.
I do expect them to post a larger loss per share as their expenses have gone up -- hiring additional staff, cost of sample units, commitments for manufacturing, etc. This is not unusual before revenue goes up. As the saying goes -- It costs money to make money. I'm not aware of any small company that can produce and sell product without incurring costs associated with production and sales. Larger companies like Apple can clearly demand better terms and string their suppliers along until they have sales to pay the production costs, but in the real world we have to buy materials and pay for services up front at least in part.
Do you think these rumors you cite could be the last desperate attempts by shorts to influence the share price so they can cut their losses ahead of the looming sales and revenue later this fall?
12 days to earnings. Rumor is strong that big drop in sales and earnings. Wow. Didn’t expect that. Not thinking this company NEVER made a penny they might break out. Rumor is. The losses will continue. Just a rumor
Have a great day
Intelligent reply. Thanks
Another red day today. I think 95 % of last 2 months were that way. I’m just upset at the way this company is giving bonuses and stock to its employees when the company shows no profits since like 200 b c
This upsets me and I think every investor. We invest. They pay bonuses and sp keeps getting lower. My company does 33 billion a year in rev.. I know if all our key people have a bad year. They are not around that next year. Basic economics 101
Good luck
With his stock options, I can only wish. I'm just someone who believes in what the company is trying to do and have been invested on and off for the past 10 years with very mixed emotions. My current core position dates from fall of 2017 and I was absolutely pissed at how the previous management team wasted opportunity after opportunity and let the company sink to the point where bankruptcy was a real concern.
Since SS took over last spring they have stabilized their finances, they have focused on completing development for products that there are actual markets for, and are on a path where the company has a real future.
I'll miss our conversations, but you need to focus on what makes you money and doesn't frustrate you.
As for me, MVIS is paying for the house I am moving into next month. I'm a bit frustrated that they haven't gotten a deal done and paid out big, but it is what it is. These things take time, and that may not even be the best option for the company anymore.
I will not communicate with you anymore. Think you are Charmin. Be gone. Better yet. I’ll text you when MVIS is profitable. Maybe by 2196
Have a great day. I intend to make money today day and the rest f the week. Tell Charmin if he needs my ides. To call me
Said like Apple didn't have problems at some point either. Microsoft and other companies subsidized Apple to keep them from closing their doors. For the first 25 years of their existence they couldn't turn a consistent profit and were in danger of going broke repeatedly.
I'd also like to remind you that SS has been on the job for not quite a year and a half. I'd say he has done well in that time.
That is the problem -- we currently don't know what the situation is. They may be on the verge of reporting the first quarterly profit in recent memory. They may have a deal all but finalized. They may already have orders for their LRL units.
With their focus on cost controls and being very careful with their money, I'd wager there is a reason they feel they can award this kind of bonus at this time.
Tell Steve Jobs that. If Jobs were here we wouldn’t be having this talk. We would be looking for new Bentleys
Have a good day
If they worked. Somebody would beat the friggin door down to buy that product. Ain’t happening.
Get with it S Wife. You have no idea of what’s happening. Fire this CEO.
The market is a forward looking mechanism.
Just because they didn't make a profit last quarter or last year does not mean they can't make a profit next quarter or next year.
Sort of like saying your lousy kid hasn't had a job for the past 10 years (ignoring the fact they were too young or in school and have been focusing on their education) so why should you think they'll ever get a job even though they just graduated and are interviewing?
MVIS is bringing technology to market at a time there is actually a market for it. If you've been paying attention, their prospects look better then they EVER have for this company. Near eye display (HoloLens2 and IVAS) and automotive LiDAR both represent strong entries in markets that are just now taking off.
Sorry. I totally disagree with your speculation. You don’t reward when you have no money to reward. When your checking account is negative for the last 10 years. How do you pay yourself. Sorry. This is irresponsible and shows greed. The CEO still should resign or Fired
At this point we don't have good visibility as to why the bonus and RSU grant were awarded. Based on how things often work in tech companies, we could speculate it is one of the following:
+ performance bonus
+ retention bonus
+ compensation for extraordinary duties
+ grants ahead of a uptick in revenue/profitability
In terms of performance bonus, the company has made solid progress on controlling costs and managing cashflow, but that seems a bit generous for that scenario.
Retention bonus is a solid possibility -- job market is heating up and Holt has some real achievements under his belt. He'd be able to move to a similar position with better pay pretty easily. With all that is going on with MVIS and his participation, it very well could make sense to offer the bonus to retain him.
Extraordinary effort -- working on a M&A deal chews up a ton of time and effort from the accounting department. Very possible a deal is all but done and they are rewarding his efforts on getting it done.
Improved Prospects currently seems like the most likely scenario. Company is on much better footing with the prospects of real revenue starting to flow in by the end of the year. Setting up those contracts and everything to support those deals is not insignificant. Also likely a recognition that Holt had been below market for the past however long due to the company not doing particularly well and they are making up for it now that they can.
Honestly, with their focus on financial controls, the fact they feel they can splash this kind of bonus tells me they are confident in the direction the company is going.
Amazon lost the First 5 years , look at them now.
Howard,
You need to understand Business, before you complain. Lots of companies have REVENUE, but no profit. There are things such as Research, Development, salaries, rent, utilities, interest expenses, and the list goes on. Depreciation is a BIG ITEM. Depreciation is a non cash event, but... it lets ANY company use it to lower their net income. (for MVIS, they have Revenue with NO Expense to GET the Revenue...Royalty income)
You like to shout that the company has no profit, but for how many years did Amazon not even PLAN for a profit? Too many years!!! and today? Lots of profit. Think about the sales they would need, the personnel they would need, the cost to bring $500,000 to the Gross Profit Line!! But instead, they let another company spend all that money, and they receive Gross Profit for free !!! Lots of People get paychecks for working, spending 40 hours a week, plus drive time, just to get a paycheck that disappears paying bills. Now the same people are getting a check for NOT WORKING...and they are paying their bills, but not making Extra money, so you can say the same thing... they are not making any money. Right?
Get off your high horse, look again at the company and what they do make, how much money they bring in, and why do they bring in the money? Their products actually WORK!
But
The company does not Make a profit. Why would anyone purchase a share of a worthless company
#MVIS stock?? Why it's a good time to get in? Pre-earning run-up?Technical analysis#Microvision
200K bonus isn't actually all that much, actually quite standard for Tech company execs. As for the 90,000 restricted stock units(RSUs),those vest over a period of 3 years(with conditions), again not that extraordinary.Just my opinion.
Gnill. Answer me this. New 8-k tonight. CFO gets 200k bonus. Plus sh+tload of stock. If a company loses money every month day year. Is that the right thing to do? Somebody advise me why CEO shoves it in shareholders faces. Waiting
$14.20's support held once again with a strong bounce -- 4th time with conviction. Not expecting anything crazy real soon, but any sort of good news could send this back up into the $20s.
It does look like some short positions were covered on the way down, but most of the shares went back out. I think someone didn't get the memo and is going to have a very bad day in the near future.
And here we see a drawback of fund buying after Russell 2000 inclusion: almost 18million shares were purchased by funds/institutions at close on the 25th and once everything settled on the 29th became available for borrowing by the shorts.
Institutional buying picked up as we approached $15 last few times we tested the support floor, and became particularly strong as we tested the $14.50 range giving us what appeared to be a hard floor.
My expectation is we will see continued downward pressure toward this hard support level while large short positions are quietly closed and converted to long positions. Another push to drive us through that floor of support is probable, but will most likely fail as institutional buying kicks in and will end up trapping shorts that don't learn from history and set us up for a nice run up as PR hits for the different catalysts coming up this summer.
Bought TSLA and AAPL with proceeds also
Have a great day. I am
As a stockholder I want my board to make money. You have a problem with that
I originally owned a lot of this at 1.72cents. Sold at $25.00
But to see what Charmin is doing really upsets me but
Buying more shares of AMZN
Where board makes money
Have a great day. I am
Ciao
For all the Howards out there... Todays News Brief Excerpt Notice Microvision at the very end.

GameStop saves money by raising money
The "meme trade" has been one of the market's defining trades this year.
?
And while some investors have chosen to ignore the action we've seen in shares of GameStop (GME) or AMC (AMC) amid a value rotation, rising bond yields, and a booming economy, these retail-driven trading frenzies are starting to reshape the fundamentals of these businesses. They're more than just a sideshow.
?
Earlier this month, we argued AMC's capital raises into a frenzied stock market created a blueprint for how management teams need to approach the meme market. Stock sale announcements by second-tier meme plays like Express (EXPR) and MicroVision (MVIS) shows how executives are starting to follow this playbook.
Hey Howard,
I'm a shareholder, so you must hate to see me shafted? lol You are a troll, probably a paid troll, trying to make people sell, so your short position becomes more profitable.
But you see, My Cost Basis is under $2, and with the stock at $17+ I'm making MONEY!! Granted, making more if the price were higher, but can't be disappointed at this level. Greedy? You Betcha, I want to make more! We all do.
But you want to trash a CEO who is actually "Doing What he said he would", and that must really bother the daylights out of you and your Troll Friends. hahaha
I suppose you are doing the same to Gamestop? Trashing them in hopes of winning? Oh wait, Gamestop, AMC and MICROVISION were promoted on Yahoo Finance this morning!! That can't be good for YOU!
