Sounds good Chris, I'll put it on our Corner Stockwatch next week. Thanks!

MCOM looking good-
I have heard from a few people that a few brokers are restricting MCOM shares(e-trade, Merial, and a couple others), no more left to short, and with a huge percentage of its float shorted, it could have a big pop soon! Today looked good, I hope it is the begining of what is yet to come! These restrictions, along with maybe a financing PR, it could really run.
Happy Trading,
Chris B

Good Afternoon-
Well this should be a good week, I would expect a good run up until the 18th when they release there sub numbers. Then depending on the numbers, it could go either way. Maybe this week we they will light up chicago, that with an 40k+ sub increase could send this over 5. It will be interesting to watch this week to say the least, good luck-
Happy Trading,
Chris B
WooHoooo!-
Ya I expect it to rise until they release there subscriber numbers. With Watts calling for 35k new subs, that would put a 200+% rise in subs. I was happy to see alot of my shares turn green today, I will be really happy when the ones at 10+ turn green :) My guess is that Watts is just setting this up for a negative sub number, but if he is right, this will IMHO move alot higher. Then with Chicago getting ready to be lite up, who know where this will go
Happy Trading,
Chris B
Quite the little rally MCOM's got going! Lets see what it does tomorrow in the afternoon. I'm expecting some Naz selling tomorrow near close. If it can hold these gains then perhaps we've already seen a bottom......watching and waiting. Good luck.
later,
Doug
Chris - any thoughts on this news? Been watching this one for a while. Not convinced it will find a bottom until the market finds a bottom - even if that means pennies.
But this news is kind of interesting ( I would love to have one of these at work)
Metricom changes focus with modem camera
By Ben Charny
Special to CNET News.com
April 6, 2001, 4:00 p.m. PT
With the clock ticking toward its potential September demise, Metricom, the maker of the Ricochet wireless modem, is trying a new plan for generating profits--taking photographs.
On Monday, the company, which operates a high-speed wireless data service, will announce it has teamed up with Ricoh's peripheral business unit to combine the Ricochet wireless modem into the Ricoh i700, the 67-year-old equipment provider's "industrial strength" camera.
The camera is designed to offer "fast, reliable wireless transfer of large digital image files," enabling industries such as insurance or emergency services to send images directly from the field, according to a joint statement issued by Metricom and Ricoh.
Digital photography has soared in popularity and reinvigorated the camera industry. That has led to the next step: embedding cameras into wirelessly enabled devices. But Samsung has beaten Metricom to the punch, already releasing a cell phone with a camera attachment.
Santa Cruz, Calif.-based Lightsurf, founded by Philippe Kahn, is working with Motorola to embed a tiny camera into wireless phone handsets.
The alliance with Ricoh may not be enough to save Metricom, Analysts said. Metricom told the Securities and Exchange Commission that it would run out of cash by September. It had reported $327 million in working capital in February, but the most recent filing said it would need $500 million to survive.
Metricom also is coming off a poor fourth quarter. The company reported a quarterly loss of $114 million, almost double the size for the same period the previous year.
MCOM, looking very bargain(ish). Chris, let me know if news is coming that will push it back up; will feature on the Corner again if so - just let me know!

Thanks Arch,
I go over to your thread and look around alot, I am sorta on a sebatical(probally spelled wrong) when it comes to trading right now, I got my long holds tucked away and try not to look at them. Anyways, MCOM has a good outlook, just need to get rid of a few more execitives, and new marketing team. Paul Allen wont let his baby go to far under IMHO, he is just playing a few games to show who the boss is, once again IMHO.
Happy Trading,
Chris B
Matt-
Ya this market makes me want to puke some days. I am glad though that I am mostly cash right now, and the thought of trading right now makes me sick. I was looking into the triple Q's, and a couple others that look like they could be played, but after I got my a$$ kicked on MCOM the last time around, I am a little hesitant. I can remember the good old days, you buy ANYTHING, and in 2 days it goes up 300%. Hopfully things will turn around soon, and we will be a rocking again!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and from what I hear, MCOM has it in the bag...........Oh course I havent confirmed yet and the guy that told me is sorta slow in the head.........I bought more this week just in case :)
Happy Trading,
Chris B
Christopher,

Hi Chris. It's fun watching you talk to yourself...lol! I have you bookmarked - MCOM will recover as the market does. Have a good one!

Good Afternoon-
I dont know if anybody reads this thread, if not, I will just sit here and talk to myself. At least I will always be right, and seeing that I am the chairman, I wont have to worry about my post being deleted.
On to MCOM, I was talking to one of the installers for MCOM this week, and he was saying how Chicago is being built up, so there is another city that will soon be on the list of cities where it is available. I just dont understand why this stock is so low, and the number of subscribers is low. Well actually I do know, the marketing of this sucks, everybody I tell about there service thinks it is a great ideal, and the speeds are great for wireless. Just think about it, being able to trade stocks on a lap top on the road, at 144 KPS, that is alot faster than my dialup here at home. Or think about a bussiness man who needs information while on the road, it is right there at his fingertips. The 144KPS is austonding compaired to what my POS cell phone has, with its worthless screen. And to top it all off, MCOM dosnt have to pay for there bandwith, they are using free bandwith.
About the bandwith, there are using what I was taught to use in the military, I cant say what its name was, but in all reality is was freq hoping. I used to teach a classes to people on how to use it in the military, in laymans terms, you take two devises, set there clocks to the same times, and input a set of freq and times that they will switch, then it starts, every second the devises hops 100 times to diffrent freq(not sure if 100 is right, but I know it is alot). So it is impossible to listen in on the coversation, unless you have the set of freq and times. The military took it a step further by using encryption, but I better not talk about that(seeing the class I took on that, there was no pencils or pens allowed, all memory).
MCOM has a great ideal, but like other companies with great ideals, there implementation sucks(along with my spelling) If MCOM was to spend there money on some catchy comercials, and not that Rico, and Chet crap I have seen at airports and on busses, people would understand what the @#$% it is. The 70 bucks a month isnt bad if you consider what it would cost to have a unlimited cell phone, that was always on.
What I do know is that this $#@#@$@#$$#@ better go up soon, and they better get on the ball with there marketing, and money flow. This has a place on the bussiness world, and other places, it is far ahead of other companies who are trying to do the same. Anyways, remember these are my thoughts, and not yours, and what I talked about is hearsay, and the guy I talked to could have been droped as a child or ate paint.
Happy Trading,
Chris B

Doug-
I agree, I wouldnt doubt if Microsoft ened up in a PR with MCOM, just my opinion. All the wispers lead to the funding being in the bag, lets see!
Happy Trading,
Chris B
IMO - CEO's departure is a likely a precondition for the additional funding they need. That has been the whisper for the last two weeks - lets see if the second half comes true....
I listened to the recent conference call and the CEO had intimated that funding was already in place but some politics were holding it back - LOL I guess that was an understatement.
MCOM looks good this week! Should see atleast $8 at some point this week.... Very oversold and with over 50% of the small 10 million share float short- a nice squeeze could send this to over $10...
Good luck!
