MXWL back on the move again. Looks like it shrugged off the BS downgrade.
To thine own self be true
Or it was them short selling after the down grade. I believe or trust any of them!!!
Trust no one!!!
Yup. A 13 dollar downgrade by Piper Jaffray and the panic selling begins. Can't believe people actually buy into this "sky is falling" crap. Same company today as it was yesterday except for some hack analyst writing it down. They must have a short position they were getting killed on!
One day at a time
Speaking of MXWL love, maybe it was a one night stand?
Very strange! So much love for MXWL yesterday and none today!

MXWL Maxwell Technologies' Ultracapacitor-Based Engine Start Module For Medium And Heavy Duty Trucks Wins Innovation Award From R&D Magazine New Product Extends Battery Life, Eliminates Starting Failures and Downtime Expense
PR Newswire
SAN DIEGO, June 21, 2012
SAN DIEGO, June 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Maxwell Technologies, Inc. (Nasdaq: MXWL) announced today that the editors of R&D Magazine have recognized Maxwell's ultracapacitor-based Engine Start Module (ESM) for medium and heavy duty trucks as one of the 100 most technologically significant products introduced into the marketplace over the past year.
Since 1963, the R&D 100 Awards have identified revolutionary technologies newly introduced to the market. Winners of the R&D 100 Awards are selected by an independent judging panel and the editors of R&D Magazine. The publication and its online portal serve research scientists, engineers, and other technical staff members at high tech industrial companies and public and private laboratories around the world. A full list of this year's winners is available at www.rdmag.com.
Maxwell's ESM incorporates patented ultracapacitor technology to provide the power required to reliably start Class 6 to 8 medium and heavy duty trucks. The ESM form factor is identical to the Battery Council International (BCI) Group 31 batteries used in most Class 6-8 MD/HD trucks in North America, making it an easy-to-install aftermarket product for trucks currently in service.
"Numerous trucking industry sources confirm the need for a more reliable and cost-effective starting solution, said Van Andrews, Maxwell's senior vice president, sales and marketing. "The ESM provides an "onboard jump start" capability that virtually eliminates starting failures due to extreme temperatures or depletion of batteries' cranking power by repetitive starting for deliveries or the use of battery power for heating, air conditioning, entertainment systems and other 'hotel loads' in states where engine idling is limited by law."
Unlike Group 31 Lead-acid or Absorbent Glass-Mat (AGM) batteries that store energy by means of a chemical reaction, the ESM stores energy in an electric field within the ultracapacitor cells. This electrostatic energy storage mechanism enables ultracapacitors to charge and discharge in as little as fractions of seconds, perform normally over a broad temperature range (-40 degrees C to +65 degrees C), operate reliably through one million or more charge/discharge cycles and resist shock, vibration and overcharging. Key features and benefits* of the ESM include:
•Reliable starting for diesel engines up to 15 liters at temperatures from -40 degrees C to 60 degrees C;
•Maintenance-free operation and "life of the vehicle" reliability;
•Four-year limited warranty**;
•Industry standard Group 31 battery form factor for easy integration with battery systems;
•Built-in quick charging system (15 minutes or less);
•Promotes extended battery life; fully compatible with existing battery systems, and
•Green technology with no heavy metals or toxic substances requiring special recycling.

Doji has formed. This should be the reversal going up in my opinion.
Way oversold in my opinion. This one should be a good candidate for a "dead cat bounce".

SAN DIEGO, May 24, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Maxwell Technologies, Inc. has been selected to supply ultracapacitors to Flextronics Automotive, a segment of Flextronics and a leading global automotive supplier, for the energy storage module of a recuperation system that Flextronics Automotive will produce to reduce fuel consumption and emissions in commercial vehicles.
Each energy storage module incorporates 16 3,000-farad ultracapacitor cells to:
* store energy generated by a recuperative braking system,
* deliver stored electrical energy to power air conditioning, heating, lighting and other passenger comfort and safety features, and
* provide a reservoir of standby energy to stabilize the vehicle's electrical system.
Flextronics Automotive designed the recuperation system to enable European commercial vehicle manufacturers to meet the European Union's stringent Euro 6 emission standards, which mandate significant reduction of nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, particulate matter and other pollutants produced by diesel engines, beginning in 2014. Flextronics Automotive has won a contract to produce recuperation systems for a major European commercial vehicle manufacturer that is planning to commence production of a new, low emission, vehicle model.
"Ultracapacitors charge and discharge very rapidly, which makes them very efficient for capturing regenerative braking energy and storing it for use in the electrical system," said Herbert Schoeffmann, President of Flextronics Automotive. "Using that stored energy to power lights, heating, cooling and other vehicle loads reduces the need to use the generator, which saves fuel and reduces emissions."
David Schramm, Maxwell's president and chief executive officer, said, "As this supply agreement demonstrates, Ultracapacitors' high efficiency, all temperature performance and long operational life make them a preferred energy storage solution for hybrid buses and other heavy, commercial and passenger vehicles."
Unlike batteries, which produce and store energy by means of a chemical reaction, ultracapacitors store energy in an electric field. This electrostatic energy storage mechanism enables ultracapacitors to charge and discharge in as little as fractions of a second, perform normally over a broad temperature range (-40 to +65C), operate reliably through one million or more charge/discharge cycles and resist shock and vibration. Maxwell offers ultracapacitor cells ranging in capacitance from one to 3,000 farads and multi-cell modules ranging from 16 to 125 volts.
