I see there isn't a current moderator. I think I'll sign on, as I have holdings in the company, and still see it as long term.
denise.
not much in the way of recent news beyond this.
I think I'll try to call the company this week, and see what they have to say...

In my opinion, mtxx is a long term, probably longer than I would have anticipated, but eventually, this will go up. again, imo, Zicam is simply too big of a line for this to fail.
I bought into mtxx right after the announcements of the law suites, thinking this was an opporatunity to get into a $20 stock at a quarter of the price. I entered at $5.25 a share and still holding.
at 4.07, I plan on adding here soon, depending on the holiday complications. Barchart is listing a 3.88 support and a 4.32 resistance, with an overall hold.
I haven't done a lot of research beyond anything the overall mkts have released. There certainly hasn't been much in the way of recent news, but again, overall, I still look at this as a long term.
we'll have to see what the new year brings.

I saw a Zicam commercial today. Some new products looks great. Any thoughts on where this can go? What is the status of the law suits?

25% short float now........10q wasn't THAT bad IMO
you liking MTXX here?
I want my Zicam! I used it for years during cold and flu season, I still smell great.
this could be a prelude to a good thing or at least I hope so.

Matrixx Initiatives Inc. Ticks higher on renewed speculation that company could reach agreement with FDA regarding Zicam
***Reminder: On 09/03 there was a rumor that company provided a modified Zicam formula to the FDA and that the modified formula would avoid the side effects seen in the nasal spray that caused it to be withdrawn from the market in June.

in reply to the stoxline target for imgg, If you look close, stoxline does not have a listing for imgg, when you enter this, what it reports is: MAGELLAN MIDSTREA (MGG), which in fact have a target of Six months: 27.82 One year: 32.50 .
Just thought i'd try to clear up the confusion.
as for mtxx, (with their zicam product line, and potential for getting in on the H1N1 virus issue, this is like on of the safest investments you could make IMO. I am in here as an investment, as opposed to trade, and for the very long haul.
thanks.

INO.COM has a 100 score on the trend for this one
last hr close above 5hr moving average
new three day high on monday
last price above 20 day moving average
new three week high, week ending August 29th
new three month high in June
Stoxline.com has a buy signal on MTXX and also a 6 month target of 7.97/share and a year target of 9.30/share
I am no expert but it looks pretty good to me.
I wasn't referring to shorting this one
I have this as a buy/hold right now
Undervalued, large short position, not to mention, flu season upon us. GLA~
not sure, I have a service that is recomending to buy this on a pull back to $5.70 or better.
There is alot of insider selling taking place right now
Good time to be looking at shorting
I short them with puts
Ever do this?
never mind this one I guess. acording to the reuters report there has been no insider buying on this instead there's been insider selling for a total of 340k shares.
there is also 0 short interest on this one and now I wonder why this one was mentioned along MTXX because IMGG is in the medical imaging industry.
last fiscal year it had $1.8 million vs. GE with 182,515 mil, EK with 9.4 mil and FONR with 35 mil.
the highest price ever was $0.40 10yrs ago.
so much for www.stoxline.com's projection.
Have not heard of this one
I'd check it out on all the message boards and listen to all the conference calls you can find.
Suggest doing a search on Google, Yahoo and Alta vista for all you can find on the company and the officers
I saw on another forum some one mentioned IMGG along with MTXX.
I pulled it up on www.stoxline.com and although the price of the stock is at $0.09/share right now stoxline has a target of $27.21 in six months and $31.79 in one year.
any thoughts?
Penny Stock Fortunes likes this
the chart on this thing looks like it dropped from around 16 to 6 could this thing go back up to 16 from 6?
Thanks for the post - I looked all over the internet without success. That explains the nice pop; however, I missed it. It is amazing how powerful the media is. Just buy a bunch of stock just prior to the news and the select few in this world are getting rich.
Shares of Matrixx are up nearly 15% today after OptionMONSTER.com co-founder and CNBC regular John Najarian went on Squawk Box this morning to talk about Matrixx’s potential. Najarian, who owns call options on Matrixx, said that fears about H1N1 could provide a lot of profit potential for the company’s shareholders. “When you talk about swine flu — or H1N1, as we call it now — if they recalibrate [their affected products] and bring [them] back out, I still think there’s a lot of upside in that stock. We’ve seen a lot of institutional buying in there,” he said.
Up 10% premarket. Something is up.
Hope you got in~
Looking at reentry here
i don't know yunior ..
Any more news on this? What caused it to fall from the $20 range a few months ago?
No problem. I hope who ever is in wins big and perhaps back up to $20pps.
i don't know detearing ..
sorry
Buy on rumur hugh? This could be hugh, but too many questions IMO; e.g., what about those law suits?
12:32 MTXX Matrixx Initiatives spikes a point on heavy volume; strength attributed to rumor of potential FDA news
Nice pop today - what's the news?
MTXX short squeeze today...boom
mtxx lookin good today, on the way up up up
I glad I sold out for more stocks with more promise with the good worldwide economic news - why waste time in a stock with such risk? Perhaps someone will post some good news and some will ride it upwards; however, too many unknowns for me...
MTXX looking ill lately. Even with the market rebound. I am staying away for now. Still think this should be a great play long term though. IRA kinda play.
Been on the sideline here. Looking for a re-entry. Have scalped it a couple of times for a little ching...but feels kinda weak. Like it might slip into the 4s...
I reloaded at about $5.70. Only about 25% in....
Nice call, on the dot moved $1
I just played it for .75 but uncertain if this is a reload just yet IMO what do you guys think?

I work with a law firm investigating reports of possible securities law violations by Matrixx Initiatives, Inc., the maker of Zicam.
In a letter to Matrixx, the FDA concluded certain Zicam products may pose serious risks to consumers.
When the letter was released, Matrixx stock plummeted from approximately $19 per share to less than $7 per share. Since December 2007, insiders have sold more than $2.7 million worth of Matrixx shares.
