Sep 19, 1990 - Earlier Tuesday, prosecutor Alstine saiof the B.C. Supreme Court trial judge was wrong to tell a jury to acquit Ernest Speta, 31, of Malsqui, B.C.
@fingerprint42 zentrarian: I know what you mean but you weren't called a bigot and I was. Ayeyou needs to learn the difference between an opinion and a fact. For example Florence Ottilie Deflers was murdered in cold blood in BC and someone charged with her death. It is a fact that the court found the defendant not guilty. I, however, feel like the caretaker that was charged got away with murder. So my question to Ayeyou is, which is more important, the facts or my opinion?
@fingerprint42 Ayeyou: Do you have a problem with facts or are you married to your opinion? That video had what is known as facts, and feel free to bring up any that are incorrect or simply admit you refuse to pay attention to facts. You still haven't answered, what happened to that French girl's head? Have they ever found it?
@fingerprint42 Ayeyou: Did they ever find that French girl's head or did it just disappear?

LOOKING BACK TO CAWSTON MURDER
Thirty years ago, everyone in the Similkameen Valley was talking about the headless corpse found in an orchard on Ferko Road in Cawston. The corpse was identified as Florence Ottilie Deflers of Toulan, a small town near Paris, France. The head had been removed from her body by a very strong blow that cut one of her dangling earrings in half. Florence Deflers had been reported as missing in July, 1984. She had left her boyfriend’s residence in the Cariboo in late June to travel to Cawston to meet with friends. She bought some food at the health food store in Keremeos, then walked to Cawston to her friends’ house. They were not at home. Somehow, she arrived at the Nicholson home on Ferko Road. The Nicholsons were gone for the summer. The house was empty. Her boyfriend contacted the friends, then tried to contact her. The 26 year old French citizen was a student at a university in California. When she did not arrive at the university, and nobody had heard from her, her parents and her boyfriend became seriously worried. In November, her photograph appeared in a local newspaper asking for any information as to her whereabouts. Nobody came forward. Deflers father was an important member of the Paris media community, and he put pressure on Canada’s diplomats to find his daughter. The diplomats managed to put pressure on the RCMP, but there were no real leads. Deflers boyfriend heard of a psychic who had assisted police during the Clifford Olson murder investigations. The boyfriend contacted the psychic, taking personal belongings of Deflers to the psychic. The psychic said Deflers was located in an orchard in the Cawston area. The search for Deflers began and ended at the Nicholson property, where evidence had been found indicating Deflers had been there. When the Nicholsons had returned home in the autumn of 1984, they found a few women’s items that did not belong to them. They knew somebody had been in their home, but they did not know who it might have been. Then they found a paper bag containing food from the health food store, and they found Deflers wallet in the bag. They reported it to police.
Police swarmed the Nicholson property and found the shallow grave under a loose piece of plywood. The head was never found. A person who had been caretaking the property was arrested, but was acquitted in a trial held two years later. The true identity of the murderer remains a mystery.

Wednesday November 30 2016 - News Release
Mr. Brian Baker reports
MAGOR CORPORATION FILES A NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE A PROPOSAL UNDER THE BANKRUPTCY AND INSOLVENCY ACT (CANADA)
On Nov. 30, 2016, Magor Corp. pro-actively filed a notice of intention to make a proposal pursuant to the provisions of Part III of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) (BIA).
Pursuant to the notice, Ernst & Young Inc. has been appointed as the trustee in the company's proposal proceedings and will assist the company in its restructuring efforts. As a result, the company will be transferred to NEX.
This filing follows the company's strategic review of its options as previously announced on Oct. 26, 2016, and the subsequent halt of trading in the company's shares on the TSX Venture Exchange on Nov. 21, 2016.
The filing of the notice has the effect of imposing an automatic 30-day stay of proceedings that will protect the company and its assets from the claims of creditors while the company pursues its restructuring efforts. This 30-day period may be extended with the authorization of the Ontario Superior Court.
The company and management team continue to work closely with Sampford Advisors Inc. to successfully conclude the strategic review process. The company is actively seeking further sources of financing although there can be no guarantee that the company will be successful in securing further financing or achieving its restructuring objectives. In addition to the notice-of-intention filing, the company has also initiated the delisting process.
The company currently has four directors on the board which include Sir Terry Matthews, John MacDonald, Dan Rusheleau and Jerry Edgerton. Michael Mueller, Scott Marshall, John Watts and Dr. Calvin Stiller have resigned.
The company will provide further updates as to the next steps of the process when these have been determined.

Another RR P&D job accomplished.....
Board has become very quiet, where are all the big fat contracts promised?
Great post re:MCC, the real deal:
@ayeyou $MCC has been selling to RCMP for past year or more. Some people seem to think that there was to be a big single contract awarded to refit the RCMP when in fact it is being done on an ongoing basis and is responsible for generating the revs that MCC has produced. Read this from the MD&A..... Revenues for the three month period ended April 30, 2016 increased by $196,022 or 28% over the comparable
period in the prior year to $896,465. This increase was largely driven by higher hardware sales in the current
year from the RCMP orders fulfilled in the fourth quarter. The Company received a number of orders from the Canadian government in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2016
which accounted for a significant portion of the increase in hardware revenues. END So you see that in fact the big contracts some say are just around the corner for a year now are actually being awarded and filled the whole time. Problem is they are losing money filling the orders. Canadian government put screws to them and dropped their GP % by 15 points. Its all in the MD&A...... http://www.stockwatch.com/News/Sedardoc.pdf?docid=3664809

What does it take to change the perception?
Posts on SI would seemingly indicate great prospects and a much higher valuation. Signing up GOC alone with recurring revenues makes the present market cap look silly.
Of course I'm talking my own book. Am I misguided?
OT: I'll be SE88 on SI
Refresh me as to who the clowns are on this thread Red...I haven't been online much since spring...the Mrs had some secondary complications from earlier surgery that had to be addressed.
Only small cap making money in my porfolio to any appreciable degree that is... is
Magor.
I would like to see a break thru type contract...to see Magor expanding past its RCMP/GOC strong repeat client base-with an international contract announced...as it has announced in the past with its middle east repeat government customer for Aerus services in their countries own security sector...(unnamed as per ND agreement MP communicated)
I believe the recurring revenue part of the business model for MAGOR was a smart move by MP and company and will continue to show traction in the coming quarterly.
SS
you should know who the 2 sheep are on this board
you can search pretty easy SS your a smart guy
I would assume your comments were directed at others vs yours truly RRed-and the notion that other investors are SHEEP? is counter intuitive let alone counter productive-as it portends to a "me vs them" attitude"...or having "exclusive info" which serves nobody.
Some of the stuff being linked here inparticular is not related to the investment case let alone the business case for Magor. The GOC runs a bid review process thru the "open tender" mechanism of which is not mutually exclusive to Magor.
I have had many conversations with Mike Pascoe and he has even in the past FWIW Poco?
He's Linked or directed myself how to find company related information on the web...that was public knowledge but just hard to find.
RRed and others who have had dialogue with MP? are different in that regard.
SS
Pretty strong endorsement for Magor SSC will also create the network and bandwidth capacity needed to support videoconferencing at desktops.
Video Conferencing Collaboration is top Priority for the Canadian Government Thus why its already in motion other stuff has not even started

da BANK....
Yes. Those dealing with GOC may be wowed....wouldn't that be nice. An irresistible upgrade as in must have.
Would you cite the link for you info. Thanks and Cheers.
All the way to da "BANK" this is "MAGOR" Right from the Canadian Government Website
Departments and agencies(RCMP) will complete the re-engineering of their in-house videoconferencing facilities to enable full interconnectivity across the government
Magor SaaS software model and video conferencing
Establish a cloud service broker ""Actions underway""
A cloud service broker (CSB) functions as a bridge between organizations and cloud providers. Using a CSB makes cloud services less expensive, easier, safer and more productive for organizations to navigate, integrate, consume and extend cloud services, particularly when services span multiple and diverse providers.
A CSB’s key functions are procurement, billing, security accreditation, networking, credential and identity federation, application integration, customer support, and vendor service-level agreements (pertaining to management and skills).
SSC will create and operate a “light-touch” CSB role that includes all these functions, including access to SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and marketplace (online storefront) services.
Provide desktop videoconferencing to employees ""Actions underway""
Increased access to videoconferencing supports the collaborative operations of virtual teams across organizations, time zones and regions. Departments and agencies will complete the re-engineering of their in-house videoconferencing facilities to enable full interconnectivity across the government. Where appropriate, and where the user profile supports such functionality, SSC will also create the network and bandwidth capacity needed to support videoconferencing at desktops.
Couldn't agree more
So much good stuff in the hopper and perhaps imminent and zero communication. Magor seems to have no concern about the day to day stock price as they don't appear to need further funding and will get their payoff when the company is sold to some knowledgeable entity.
Explains how they could let the stock fall to 2 cents.....as if they were in dire straights.
Hopefully...one of my least favorite investment related words...the torment of perpetual hope..the financial statements will be self explanatory and reason for investor enthusiasm, thus stock appreciation.
Or just maybe Magor could throw the occasional informational bone to its non insider owners. There's that hope again.
FWIW-Magor needs to pay some time/energy and resources to raise Investor awareness vs investors raising it for them.
The back end of a business case is operational and obviously very important upon execution- but the front end of the business case is raising investor awareness "visibility" vs thee malpractice of investor awareness "invisibility" and is just as important in the need of any company addressing.
To ignore the front end of a business case in my experience?
Is stupid-an anyone remember the last 3rd party article about Magor or its officers/management...?
I recall only one in the last year that appeared on stockhouse and now seems defunct called "The Devils Advocate" or something to that effect...and that was a long long time ago.
Mike needs to step up in that regard cuz this constantly having to ferret out company information to a thread vs the company itself providing investor material worthy of linking to a thread?
To me its unacceptable-and I been into Magor since a few months after it went public which means I been putting up with that lack of investor awareness well over 4yrs now and counting.
Magor Corp is not alone in not paying enough attention to investor awareness and branding-many micro/small caps often do the same as well.
The front end will not look after itself...it requires a company/any company
putting the required effort into it.

Magor hiding in a cave
Until now with the recent website revitalization and especially the Aerus videos Magor has kept itself (politely) under the radar.
So investors must be friends of Magor or traders. And as the stock is so thinly traded that can't be very profitable. We saw what happened a few months ago when the stock fell to 1cent (divorce, bankruptcy etc).
So all those from the IPO at 59cents if still holding have faith in and knowledge of the principals.
If Aerus newly released in its present configuration takes the marketplace by storm the present share price is a gift.
